Hi Steve, the MirrorGuards look great so I will be calling them as a Happy Traveller!!
The owner at MirrorGuard did say that he'd give a small discount if you mention The Happy Travellers. Maybe £10 or £20 off???
Good quality product always cocts more. Well worth the price Steve and easy to fit ;))
They really do feel top quality.
Great practical demo, think I’ll be returning my Milenco’s which are still in the box. 👍
Wish I had seen this video before I bought the new style Milenco mirror guards, these are far superior product 👍
I bought the milenco ones for the last motorhome. Glad I did not keep then and got the MirrorGuards 😀👍😎
Brilliant product but man they are a nightmare to get on, I just hope no one steals mine, I feel like they can come off too easy, I used extra sticky pads too. Great vid buddy.
Thanks Jason. They are a bit of a job to get on 👍😀😎
Mirrorguard is a nightmare to deal with, and well known for poor customer service, and long delivery times, if you get them at all. They're only fixed with tape, so do have a tendency to fall off, hopefully when you're not going down the motorway! Milenco however have a locking screw
I tend to agree with you about the Mirrorguard company and product. The products could do with a better fixing system and for sure the delivery times are VERY long.
Thanks for commenting :)
Ooh Steve are times that hard having now to use washing up liquid for a tight fit 😂🙊
Was delighted to see Paul has gone from strength to strength ...first had contact with mirror guard when first on the scene,it was just a small ad in a camping mag. We all were sucked in by more expensive guards at first ....longevity being the issue.
Best wishes you three and again ......so enjoyed 👍💓
Thanks B 😘
Good looking quality product, don't wory about the washing up liquid when it rains you will have the first self cleaning mirrors
LOL 😆
Too late for the discount as I’ve ordered and received mine already. Thanks for help with the fitting of them, washing up liquid is a very good idea.
No worries Carolyn... Make sure the they're pressed all the way on. Some have a tendency to giggle loose while driving along. This can be quite off putting if you're on a motorway !
They do look good quality, might have a look at the NEC. Looks like they don't come off, once on.
Tell Paul at Mirrorguard you want the Happy Travellers discount 👍😀😎
4 years on, how have you found them.
Did the adhesive strips last?
Has anyone pinched them?
adhesive strips might not survive the winter. Milenco have a locking screw
The mirrorguards are a good product that lasts well and does a very good job of protecting the mirrors.
Having said that they hugely expensive.
The adhesive strips seem to last well over the years. However I suspect that they will need attention at some point.
The milenco fixing is much better but the product seems flimsy compared to the mirror guard product
I don’t understand why they didn’t use plastic brackets and screws like the milenco ones as well as the adhesive pads, would have made them much better.
I had the milenco version and I can say these are far superior quality.
I’ve bought a set for our new van and they fit really well 👍😀😎
Mirrorguards do tend to fall off, only being fixed with tape
I have had these mirror guard protectors on my last motorhome and TBH the adhesive pad eventually gives way , and the mirror falls off when you hit a bump on the road , wish they had 2nd fixing to the mirror, I have tried lots of different double sided tape , but water gets in behind the mirror
Ours seem to be fine. Have you complained to MirrorGuard?
What is the make as there are many available?
Thanks
They are "Mirror Guard" :)
Hi Steve them mirror guard look better quality for the money as the other ones u bought for first van didnt have the rubber
Round the end plus they cheaper bargain .kev
Hi Steve, Loving your blog, me and my wife Sheila have just bought our first motorhome an Autotrail Cheyenne 630se 2008, looking forward to first trip, thanks for all the info you and Wendy provide its been very helpful, just noticed your nice windbreak do you have any info about it? Is it any good, what make is it etc etc, any info would be much appreciated, Going to the NEC next month so will also be getting the Mirror guards they look good quality bit expensive but you know what they say " Buy Cheap Buy Twice"
Many Thanks Rob
Windbreaks are jormaxwindbreaks.co.uk. We have A 3mtr + 4mtr + gate. £477 👍😀😎
Is it a problem with the mirrors getting bumped? I guess the cost of a new mirror and fitting would be enormous if the spare wheel flap cost was anything to go by. I didn't even know there were guards, Do mirror guard make for various models?
The cost of a replacement mirror is towards £500 😱
Yes they protect against being knocked while driving etc. And they make for different models 👍😀😎
A complete new mirror assembly cost me £65 (heated, long arm) from Empart, with 48 hour free delivery. First class service, and there are plenty of video's about on how to replace them.
Hi Steve,
Thanks for showing that video. We have been looking to buy some and yours look stunning. Lovely tight fit. So not easily removed then ????
All the best
Duncan.
Sadly they don't ship to New Zealand )-:
It would be quite expensive I think. 🤔☹️
Price now gone up to £125 and no discount 😢
Booooo! That's not very nice of him is it? if the price goes up much more I think he'll start loosing sales, unless he is already loosing sales and he's putting the price up to counteract that.
That would be a very bad choice...
Still the product is quite good and MUCH better that the Milenco knock-offs that are available for £50...
First
Hurrah!
The quality of the plastic is very good but the fit is appalling!!! When pushed on to the limit, the lower part of the guard is flush on one side and 2cm off on the other. It's simply badly designed...
Yes the fit is a bit off and I found that one of then keeps slipping on one side. I'd always worried its gonna fall off :(
