I'm a bed ridden disabled person, I find these driving videos very helpful to my mental health. I know it sounds weird but its true. Thanks for being here for us mate you truly don't know how much you help some of us
Eyup Ryan, I know what you mean, its like going on "virtual drives". I hope you have a big screen tv so that you can really get immersed in it and enjoy. All The Best Ryan.
The prince of Wales was a cracking boozer, used to catch the train down from Carlisle on the odd occasion. They even had their own little beer festival.
Let’s not forget the people who are less fortunate and can’t get out and about….Your doing a great job Gareth…it’s like being invited out with the family for a Sunday afternoon drive out😃👍
Janet, I didn't mention Healthy Foods, did I? That Pie wouild have been equally at home on a plate with 3 or 4 Veg and some nice thick gravy or with some Home Made Chips (just a lot!) Baked Beans and maybe Half a Bottle of Tomato Ketchup. Then, in either case followed with 2 or more slices of Fresh Cut Bread & Butter to wipe the plate out.. I've got to 80+ without worrying about Healthy Food. To me a Full English/Irish/Scottish Breakfast and a Sunday Roast with, again, some nice thick gravy made with the Meat juices are on a very nearly equal standing. Also, I find it difficult to pass a KFC. Burgers are surely for Barbies, along with Hot Dogs, a pound of Fried Onions and Brown Sauce running down your chin and T Shirt. Now, pass me an Avocado please and some Humus and Lettuce too. Janet, I hope you enjoy the rest of your life as I have mine.Above all, Fat or Thin, just be HAPPY.
I had two of my best holidays with the dog at a caravan site called Tarnside. it wasn't far from Cellerfield and some of the lads stayed on the site Mon to Fri. It was right on the train track which you crossed straight on to the St Bees coast. Thank you for this video it bought back a lot of happy memories.
This man is the rolls Royce of food reviews goodbless you baddie aka gaz have a great weekend to you and your family and the same to all the lovely people on here godbless you all always
My mum used to get her meat , sausages etc., from this shop..... She's been gone 27 years now so that shows how long it has been there and probably a lot longer than that!!
Oh man. Got me hankering after our great farm produce. We can have conserves, honey, wines, bread, game food and hung meat, cheeses, wild boar, wild duck, eggs, cured and smoked meats, local veg, berries and nuts, sweets, teas, scones, jam, you name it. I totally envy you. And a great day out with great scenery.
£2.60 isn't bad at all for that pie given that it's made on-site, it's big and probably a lot nicer than microwaveable pies from shops which cost about the same
A lot of our drivers regularly stop off there on the way past, just for the sausage. Don't think you'll be disappointed once you've got it in a big toasted bap 🤤
£2-60 for that pie is good value in my books---it looks brill'.Can't beat a farm shop----that bacon will be fantastic--hope you show it on a Vid. Cheers Gareth.
I really enjoy the out-and-about videos as a change of pace from the usual kitchen antics - I'm going to binge watch your road trip playlist! Amazing value from the farm shop, too - all that quality meat for a very reasonable price. Take advantage of the great weather, Gareth - get out there and take us along for the ride!👍🚗🥓
That was a PROPER pie Gareth - so stuffed with filling it was exploding! Add in that it was definitly mainly meat instead of the rubbish you get in the supermarket ones and it was a real bargain at that price. The plunder from the farm shop looked awesome. The quality from those local shops is always so much higher than even the most expensive stuff in a supermarket. I'm really lucky to have a few local farm shops as well as a butcher that does some lovely pies and a truly lovely haggis. Might have to take a trip there tomorrow now that you've made me hungry.
What a great video it’s so good to see other places. That pie alone was worth the drive alone and the price wasn’t to bad considering the price of some of them factory made pies. Woodalls we shop looked so quaint and the produce looked quality thanks for putting the time and effort into your videos ❤
Hi Gareth, another lovely drive out with you, you've got a good day for it. Your pie looked lovely, you could see it was home made and fresh. I don't think the price was bad. The items from the shop looked good especially the back bacon.
Enjoyed the drive out with you like you said it's good to get out and about especially while the weather is good. Wow that pie looked amazing that certainly had lots of meat not just potatoes like your common supermarket one's. Watching this made me hungry. The farm shop looked amazing as well you get the best from these places in quality that's for sure.
I used to love when my mum went back to her roots for her holidays each year. She would bring back Cumberland sausage for everyone back down south. You can't beat the sausages from Cumbria. They were delicous. Miss those days.
Great drive around Gaz at least now we know why you haven’t got any hair working, at sella field 🤣 it was worth the video just for a glimpse at that pie it looks amazing and not bad for the price, large and full off fillings the the butchers looked pretty good as well keep up with the great videos 👏👏👍👍
Now THATS a proper pie,Better than any of the rubbish you'll find in the supermarkets,That area looks absolutely stunning Gareth! like mentioned in a comment further down below these Driving/Vlog style vids are brilliant for people that cant get out much OR go too far,OR if they can it gives us an idea of what the place is like before going all the way down there,Would definitely love to visit this place in the future. :)
Loving these videos garath ❤👍🏻 I don't get out and about much so lovely to see around were you live it's beautiful thank you look forward to the next one ✌🏻♥️
Gareth I'm in Cornwall and I'm Cornish and we love our pasties, but they've gone up to almost a fiver! My local one Philip's is £4.45 for a standard steak ,so at £2.60 that pie is a bargain! Thanks for your video's I love them 👍
Very nostalgic memories looming through your windscreen. When there is little traffic, they make driving a lot of fun! Can’t beat Cumberland sausages - best in the world - make sure they are genuine though, and and don’t buy the cheapest. Sad note about the pubs, I have noticed that they are disappearing at an alarming rate! They used to be the ‘meeting place and social centres of our communities, but now they Aare being built over by housing developers, who sell expensive houses to ex-city dwellers who don’t even bother to to say. Hello in the high street, let alone make friends with or support the local community.
I like the out and about vids. Seeing some of the countryside. Going to the UK in August for the first time in 18 years. I've only missed the chips and rowntree fruit pastels.
I just had lunch today in another farm shop favourite of King Charles. They have a framed photo in the cafe, of him just standing in the porch of the farmhouse. This farm shop is a few miles outside Kendal......and they make their own pies and sausages here to. The Queen used to buy her bangers from the Waberthwiate place....
Given the choice of looking at your kitchen or these wonderful British countryside views I opt for the sun and greenery. No offence to your kitchen of course. Really enjoyed watching you eating the flying saucer shaped pie.
"I had the receipt, and I came out the shop and it's blown away . . . It's blown away and landed on top of a big tree!" 😂😂🤣 You always manage to make I laugh out loud mate! 👍
Gareth nice Run. My 87 yr old Mum loves stuff like this. Even though I take her out for runs. It's a lot of effort getting her in the car. Her marbles are still 100%. But her body is knackered. So when she can't be bothered . She loves watching vlogs like this.👍
I must say, I love your kitchen reviews but these trips out reviewing stuff are a pleasant change, really cool, reminds me of the holiday ones you did last year, enjoying the mix of both 👍

Hi I love your videos but these drive outs are brilliant. These pie shop runs a mint I love them keep it up its making a good play list and what more could anyone want than a drive round the cumbrian coast and a look into the lake's 👌👍
I wept bitterly watching you eat that pie. So unfair. Then you went to God’s butcher - can this vlog get any worse for me? I asked myself. The drive up shows how magnificent our countryside is and the butchers & bakers show how excellent our produce is. I was born & bred in Barrow, consider myself as a true proud man of Lancashire, but; will accept the Cumbrian term when it comes to seeing vlogs like this one. This is the best vlog of yours I have seen. Well done fella.
Gareth thanks for the Content ,what a lush looking pie mmmmm, also these vlogs show that our country is so beautiful. This type of content is absolutely awesome and right up my street, keep em coming mate 👏👏👍

Brilliant video, I'm a southerner, but love Cumbria, made some really good friends over the years & visit when I can. Usually based in Keswick, but next time I'm up in July, I'm off for one, or two of those pies. My local farm shop, steak & ale are £3-95 and don't look half as tasty as yours. What a lovely drive Gareth. Thank you so much for letting us tag along with you. Gorgeous little village and amazing Woodhall was tucked quietly away, a hidden gem. I've got my weekend treat of M&S pork & apple sausages. Cheerio
