Hey John, I literally just ordered the 3 way set of the Kappa perfect 600's. Did the tweeters fit in the sail panels without modification? Also was there a spacer issue with the 6.5's in the doors? worried about it blocking the window. I have a 2018 crewmax Tundra.
If you have the tweeter sail panel they will work just use the surface mount and hot glue it. The tweeter is easy the midrange is a different story.I just order the 3 inch 303s kappa midrange which should fit no problems but I want to hear the difference. If the 300m sounds better I’ll modify if it doesn’t sound different I’ll go with the 303s kappa midrange. I also have a 2018 but I have a pioneer 8600 headunit and amplifier 75w per channel. If you got a aftermarket headunit set the loudness to Medium and the HPF TO 60 hz 24 db slope to get the most midbass without distortion. I’ll make another video later on the setting I use to get the best sound. Also the crossovers are huge but waterproof so I mounted then inside the door behind the window track. @@mildaudiophile3879 Appreciate the tips. I might end up throwing the kappa 693c's I have in the front and putting the perfects in the back doors then. I have the 303s midranges already and they sound great. I wanted to swap to the 6x9's to 6.5's because my two JL Tw3-10 D8's throw off more than enough bass for me but I can turn down the 6x9's bass with my amp so I am sure I can make it work. If you don't mind letting me know, when you get the 303's in if there is a major sound difference between those and the 3.5's. Thanks!
@@brianhoffmann8466 sounds like we have the same setup. I also have 2 jl 10tw3. I’ll keep you posted. Just keep in mind the front stage is the most important and you want to blend in the midbass or it will sound weird and you’ll have a bull.
I have the kappa perfect 300m speakers, completely mismatched drivers, supplied crossover is garbage and does not match tweeter level to the bass unit. I'm only happy with higher frequencies from the tweeters, midrange is blary and I'm only happy with the low range from the bass units, punchy but the midrange is absolutely horrible. So, I'm looking for the best 2.75-3" mid. It's all electronic crossover seperate amps on each driver mostly to be able to balance the sensitivity differences and crossover points. I tried the kappa 20MX, those have amazing clarity and detail when not using the supplied crap crossover but unusable as a mid due to cone breakup ringing at 2KHz, to the point your ears feel like a needle was stuck in them at that one note frequency. Thinking about the JBL dome mids, they have two lines one with aluminum dome and one with soft dome but otherwise identical to the Kappa 20MX so I'm not sure if I want to throw the money at them to find out just yet. I have tried many different driver types, Dayton, bose factory dash drivers, dub high end paper with phasing cone, Dayton 3", etc. What I found is the bose has the best tonal sound but no punchyness or detail clarity, the dayton has a smooth vocal but no high frequency or punch. SO in your trials, what of those two drivers had the best tonal and what had the best clarity? I think the kappa perfect might be worth the try but not impressed with the perfect tonal sound, carbon just seems to have a boring mechanical sound to me with no natural sweetness at all. Thoughts?
I have the Bose factory set up & I grabbed some 3.5s to replace the factory rear 3.5 mid tw in the back . I have also tapped the wires for an 4ch amp . Which crossover should I use for theses 300ms or do I even need one .I honestly think the Bose not that bad. I also just got in the infinity kappa 93xi, was playing them free air I noticed they where not as aloud as the Bose is that because of the ohms ? Highs sounded fine tho just no bass like the Bose .
This why I got rid of them bc I couldn’t get to sound like I wanted to. Some speakers you pop in and listen and don’t take that much to tune them. These kappa though took a lot of work. I would try the audiofrogs
I believe they recommend 250-500 24db but you can call infinity and verify it will take for ever but better then nothing just know these get loud and you might need to tone them down.

Wroooong! Illusion audio makes the carbon series that smokes either of these. Also, the kicker is great for the price. You can't afford illusion audio haha don't speak about what you don't know there buddy
@@zbandick yeah put that crack pipe down. I love kicker solobaric subs, but kicker doesn’t even make a midrange made for teh dash. They only make a full range which doesn’t even compare to a well built midrange.

The 300m can be had for under $100/pair; the C3 is 8-10x more expensive (comes with crossover and tweeter, but still). If you think the C3 sounds 10x better you're kidding yourself, and experiencing "buyer's remorse justification" because you fell into the "price-quality heuristic" trap that IA set for you. In an all-out SQ comp? Sure, the C3 would probably win, the 300m isn't out to win comps anyways. But I bet the SI M3 would be at least as good as the C3 for 1/4 of the price. Just enjoy what you have and let other people enjoy what they have. Nobody thinks you're cool for wasting way too much money on a system nobody but you cares about in the first place. If your system was as good as you are trying to imply it is you wouldn't be on RUclips trying to make other people feel bad about their own system or opinions.
Paper is one of the best sounding materials for speakers
I just got mine today what capacitors. Should I run with them? Or crossover. They are for my rear deck that would be with infinity 93i in the back .

It’s not a tweeter adaptor. It’s a 75rms midrange

Kicker are garbage. The 300M is the best midrange there is. I have the 300m in the dash in my ram. Also running the 600M mids and tweeters
