Thanks for the video. Would be nice to hear before and after. I'll search your other videos. Most of the bass blockers I've seen have an overall heat shrink to prevent any possibility of a short.
You do realize there's already a high pass filter on the tweeter. By putting another larger capacity capacitor before the inline hpf, you've changed its tuning. You should cut the in line hpf and rewire it before the cap you put in so the woofer has its own hpf and the tweeter has its own hpf. Both receiving the stock signal.
No. At 0:37 and at 1:11 you can king of see there's a capacitor for the tweeter already soldered onto the positive terminal from the factory. If you need to add another bass cap for the woofer, that's fine, but both caps should be getting the raw speaker signal. So unsolder the factory cap from the terminal. Then, add the woofer cap to that terminal. Finally, split the signal speaker wire (positive), one goes to the woofer cap, and the other goes to the tweeter cap. Does that make sense.
@@_.Dave._ I think the factory instructions have the supplied caps wired in just as he showed for that particular speaker, and didn't direct the user to cut the preexisting one...the replacement model of speakers, the Infinity Reference REF307F have wiring instructions that duplicate what was shown. Crutchfield in their Q&A section list the Infinity Reference REF307F as the "replacement model" for the the Infinity Reference 3032CFX shown in this install video. Crutchfield posts the user manual for most of the speakers they sell, so you can verify the wiring instructions for a given speaker if caps are included.
@@JDMRightHandDrive mine arrived today, and capacitors in the box as described. Nice and beefy for tweeters (and mid) I will say. Been a long time since I did any audio stuff. Thanks for all the massively indepth info.
Yes the "E" is pronounced! Can't wait to get rolling on mods for my new '22 I picked up a couple weeks ago. Think I'm going to stray away from the norm and go more overland style🤷. #TOTHEEND 👍
To the end, thanks Stuart. Overland will be cool. My friend at work is going that route as well. He is going to lift his and put some smaller rally wheels with big beefy mud tires on his.
It's legit, Steve you won. You were announced in my video today. ruclips.net/video/C6a-KvVsnII/видео.html Thanks for watching my channel and congrats man!

Capacitor value..?
Is there a set of dash speakers that don't need this done? Just plug and play without distortion?

Dave are you saying to just run one hpf ? Ether the small cap or the big cap . Not both . I'm I understanding correctly

Thanks ::) Started the kit buy getting the tweeters first. Hopefully they also come with the capacitors in the box :)
Mine came with capacitors in the box. Thanks for watching and have fun with your install.

Wow great timing, I did your other tweeter video and I noticed when I turn it up high it’ll completely distort. Thanks for the video
Glad the video helped you out, thanks for watching.
Agree with ROBI, would love to see an amp addition.
Maybe once I finish all my horsepower and suspension mods.

Whats the spec on the cap. UF?
100uF
Appreciate the shout out! #ToTheEnd
No problem Jim, thanks for the support.💪
Hello. Did you have any issues with STARLINK after the tweeter install?
That helped me a lot thank you
Glad to hear it! Have fun with your car and thanks for watching.
Thanks for the video it helped about
Glad it helped, thanks for watching.
Hello! My speakers did not come with the capacitors. Do you know exactly why Hz capacitor it comes with/Ill need?
ever planning on getting an amp ?
I have been thinking about it. Once I finish all my HP mods and suspension stuff, I might do an amp.
What size capacitors did you use?
These were the ones supplied inside the box with the speakers. Not sure the exact size and frequencies.
Yours infinity's came with those? How? I've ordered both the 6530CX and 6532IX, neither had capacitors in the box
Mines came with these too. I was wondering what they were for. i got distortion in my speakers and now i know what to do. Thanks alot for the video!
Those larger speakers can handle a lot of bass without distortion@@KelvinTan133
Which capacitor do i need for an 800hz high pass
do you have to solder them
Does the capacitor have polarity?
Legit art work! Thanks man #totheend
Your welcome Brad, thanks for watching!👍
Can this be connected between the amp and the speaker wire?
no, you want this as close as possible to the speaker
Capacitor link?
These bass blockers came in the box with my speakers. But depending on what you need them for, you can buy them from Amazon. amzn.to/424nUyh
