The 'Southern 100 road' races in the Isle of Man features mass starts on a pure road circuit which is 4.25 miles long and lined with concrete walls and hedges.
Only the bravest of the brave are willing to take on such a challenge, but the promise of adrenaline on tap and one of the greatest thrills a motorcycle racer can experience, attracts hundreds of competitors every year.
