No way! My car has been saying my key has a low battery for months, came across this and happened to have an extra battery and was able to replace it in 60 seconds because of you. Thanks!

Saved me. Thank you. Small videos like this helps so much in everyday life.
Glad it helped!
Thank you so much! Requested to have my battery "replaced" while in for a service at Ford dealership. Low battery indicator came back on two days later. So I'm doing this myself.
You're Welcome!
This helped me a lot. The car kept saying the battery on the key was really low and I didn’t know how to change it so I went to youtube. Great video btw

Such a very simple technique. It's not like everyone knows these, including me of course. So thank you very much!

Great video. I was only able to find one other video for this and that video made it look like the notches were on the opposite side of where the key goes when it is folded down into place. Once I saw your video, I was able to open my key fob in just a couple seconds. Thanks for the great video.
You're Welcome! Glad it helped
That is exactly what I needed, and short and to the point thanks

Thank you! All the other videos I found (including oe from a repair shop) just glossed over putting the screwdriver in the notch without actually showing where to find the notch. (They just showed the fob with the word "Ford" side up and the screwdriver going into what simply looked like the side of the key fob!) I was so afraid I would break it (because I had no clue where this "notch" was and only saw the seam where the two sides come together) that I was about to give up. Then, fortunately, I found your video, and was able to confidently change the battery in less than a minute!
Great! Glad it helped
Thanks for this video, i was told by ford that they had to replace the battery and reprogram the remote.

Why in the world did I have to watch a video to change a battery? Thanks for making this. Ford has poor design on every step of the way for this car!
How do you reconnect the fob to the car after?
it does not require programming after just changing the battery
Thank you
You're Welcome!
Thank you for this video. I replaced my battery but now my car is not registering my key. I could not remotely unlock or unlock it now is there any way to fix this? I have to use the side code to enter the vehicle now.
I would double check to make sure the battery is good and installed properly
Thanks handsome
Yazzzzz Thank you!!!!
You're Welcome!
Is this for a 2014 ford fusion
yes
So… um… really dumb honest question from someone who knows next to nothing about cars: so I replace my battery and it’ll just work again? There’s no switch that needs to be flipped (like when they change the oil) or repairing? (like with the old school remote starters, when you put a new battery in, there’s something you had to do to re-pair it)
Thank you for this video, I’ve been terrified by the warning of low battery and panicking on what to do. I didn’t want to break my key fob!!!!!!
There is no reprogramming needed after changing the fob battery. It may take driving the car a few times before the fob battery warning light goes off
Can we use cr 2016. Instead
no
Does it need to be reprogrammed?
No - it should not need to be reprogrammed after just changing the battery
@@PYR-Auto thank you
I have a 2015 and it's nothing like this
Do u have keyless entry? Maybe thats why it looks different
Mine only works with the new battery if the back cover is off. As soon as I put it on it stops working. Technology hates me 🫠
interesting - I have not experienced that that
Thank you!
