- Today on our 9 month Royal Caribbean Ultimate World Cruise we show our 2nd to 4th day of our 274 day adventure. We visit the Royal Caribbean private island of Coco Cay and Visit our first World Wonder Chichen Itza from Cozumel Mexico. We had an amazing trip, but we did have a real suprise coming back on the ferry. Be sure to watch till the end for that.

I am living vicariously through you two. I’ve never seen the ocean and barely been outside Kentucky. I lost my boyfriend of over 20 years last January…we had always planned to take a vacation to the ocean in some way…things just didn’t happen for us😢. Anyway, I love your videos..very interesting for me😊

Damn just come on down here to florida, book a hotel by the beach, bring lots of sunscreen, hell move here! Down here the beauty never gets old, pro tip, make sure your house is near central florida, I4 may have a bad reputation but if you get used to it it’ll make everything else seem easy as pie!

My hubby & I were lucky enough to visit Mexico (we're in the U.K.) & did a short tour which included Chichen itza. Loved it. Seem to remember our guide called it Chicken pizza !!!

WOW! I can’t believe how commercialized Chichen Itza has become 😢 my mother and I visited there in 1979 end. It was so amazing and natural. None of the touristy type things…

I have done many cruises but never considered actually living on a ship while cruising. I am a widow. It would be great to be with other people. Have a great time!!

Living vicariously through you guys! I love Cozumel! This site is so beautiful. I was lucky enough to go once and see some of the mayan ruins and hope to go back and see more as there’s many different places in Mexico to see them and I know there’s some in Belize and Nicaragua as well that I want to go see. They are amazing in person it’s a super bucket list trip. Even if it’s only a quick excursion I still really want to go and see this! Cozumel was also a really cool poet once I got past the aggressive salesmen. I’m so glad you guys got to do this! All the Mayan ruins are on my bucket list for sure. So many of us are watching in awe and living vicariously through you guys, thanks so much for sharing. My goal is to do a world cruise one day too 🚢
It would be cool if you could make a video showing us some of the solo activities and the solo meetups - I know you guys aren’t solos but a lot of us watching are probably solo travelers (I know i am) so I’m very curious about the solo experience on the world cruise!
The ship looks really beautiful at night. I’m a big fan of the buffets too when it’s not formal night!
How often do you guys have a formal night on the world cruise? Is there a schedule so you know when to dress up?
We're only going to have about four formal nights in the first 20 some days of the cruise. So most the time we're Caribbean casual. As to Cozumel go back and check out our video on the Cozumel bar hop. I think you would really enjoy that. As to the solo Travelers we have some friends that are Solo but haven't really gone to any of their events yet but will keep an eye out. Thanks for watching

My husband and I did a Western Caribbean cruise in January '23 and did that "fun" ferry trip to Chichenetza, (barf bags were being handed out all over...my husband and I didnt require one at all but many people were not so fortunate!) and that fun trek to get to our bus...all in the pouring rain! I'm sure you noticed how NARROW the bus aisle was!!!
Interestingly, we had the SAME tour guide on the bus that you had! Unfortunately, with the lack of time, we never got to see the temple before it was time to head back to the bus. We didn't even have the time to stop to souvenir shop, pose for a photo with a monkey or whatever. It was too rushed.

I would love to do this, but I’m a solo traveler and I wonder if that many days alone would be a problem for me. I’m an empty nester and about to retire in May 2024. Love your honesty and tips.
There are over 100 solo travelers. Royal has done an amazing job with getting the solo travelers together. The group we have gravitated towards has several solo travelers in it.

Hi you guys, its lovely to see you enjoying that next phase of your lives, my husband and I are just beginning to get our next phase feet started... although our sons have additional needs and require to stay at home, they are all older and are big enough to allow us to venture out... in 2019 we first sailed on Independence of the seas... how I wish I had you both then :) Anthem is our ship from 23 and again this year ... your tips are fab.. and ill be sure to watch your other videos...

I am so glad I found you two. I have two friends on this world cruise. I will be boarding the ship on April 8 (Beijing) - April 24 (Singapore). This is a gift I'm giving myself after the unexpected loss of my husband almost a year ago. Haven't cruised in 20 yrs! My first trip solo.

Back to the gym after that lunch!When i went to Cozumel in the 70s. Much quieter and the ocean was sea thru!I went on a dive trip. Wish youd showed the ocean and beaches............ maybe they arent seathru anymore.
Still beautiful beaches in water in cozumel. Take a look back at a few videos we did in the past like the ones where we went to the Cozumel bar hop you can see how beautiful it is there.

hubby and I did Chitzen Itza this past June on the Allure of the Seas and we had that same guide, he was amazing. What a wonderful adventure despite the long, very hot day.

Great WC vlog # 2. That certainly was a long hike to Chichen Itza. I enjoyed a trip there, but it was only a short trek from a Tulum resort. Perhaps you already know, but it'll be great if, along your journey around the world, they have location-based local cuisine options in the buffet & dining room.
They are doing that, we had a Brazil night and if they don't do local to the area we're in they have international options every night focusing on a different area of the world

Yes, we did Cozumel, ferry and bus. The had a major clean up to do after our way there on the ferry. But I got mind ready for the trip back, but the waters were much calmer and a clean return.

I'm back for more. This is so exciting. I'm glad you two were able to see the Ruins. I've visited some Ruins in Progreso. It was breathtaking. I hate that the seas were so rocky on the Ferry ride. Curacao is beautiful. I've visited there. I can't wait to see more.

Not all the passengers are doing the full world cruise. 665 of us are doing the full world cruise. Yes, we are on the same ship for the entire nine months.

This is so exciting! I didn’t know about this adventure until I heard all the “drama” (from people who probably have never cruised!) so Im excited to find you the real cruisers!!! I always love the cruise shows so I wonder how they are going to do since they can’t repeat the same every week! If they bring other cruise groups but they dont have the scenario set ups!

We are so enjoying coming along your journey with you and we find your videos so informative and interesting! One question, what opportunities are there on board for religious observation? We are Catholic but assume Mass isn’t said on board? On other cruises we’ve been on they just have a non-denominational service but wondered if that was the same for your cruise given how long it is?
They did bring a priest on board for Christmas mass. It was very nice. They're also going to bring one on board for Easter. Other than that, we use an app called mass times, so we're when we're in port, we can find a local Catholic service.

I love how you include all the details that bring the trip to life: you mention how the food is (and I'm really interested to learn if RC stay on their game there, and change up the menu, or if it starts to get tired).
I really appreciate you not prettying up the experience ie, mentioning how high the swells were, seasick on the ferry, the length of the walk, the length of the bus ride and the length of the stay at Chichen itza. A 4+ hour journey for a 1 hour visit is a lot - but as you say, a bucket list item.
Oof, the ferry rides sound brutal. How long were you bobbing around without power? Not much fun for you while being seasick!

For the most part, it’s been really good. Even when we were in Antarctica, we didn’t have trouble other than it seemed a little slow on those days.
I came across your videos yesterday and am so excited to follow along! Is the entire ship filled with world cruisers or are there others on there as well? I’m also curious about how you planned your tipping for that entire cruise? You might have mentioned it in your planning videos but I haven’t made it there yet.
There is more information on some of our previous videos. There are 665 passengers doing the entire world Cruise, and the remainder of passengers are doing either segments or mini legs of the cruise.
