- A group of juveniles, including a 7-year-old, are wanted for robbery in north Seattle after an incident earlier this week.
On Monday, five 15-year-old girls were riding a King County Metro bus headed southbound on Wallingford Avenue North when a group of about 10 juveniles between the ages of 7 and 17 got on the bus. Police say they began to make biased comments about the girls' race and privilege.
The teen girls decided to get off the bus at North 82nd Street near Green Lake because they felt intimidated, according to Seattle police. The suspects followed them and surrounded the victims after getting off the Metro coach.
The suspects demanded money using "foul" language, according to police.

Race, gender, age, height, weight, are characteristics we all have. All should be part of descriptions regarding any criminal activity. Descriptions of victims should be included when they are relevant to public safety. KING 5 needs to do some editorial soul-searching with respect to their responsibilities and obligations as decent people to help protect our community.

Allow me to chime in as a former Seattle native who has been a victim of major hate crime. I'm a Black woman so you all can imagine the names I've been called & those names, were screamed at me. With that said PARENTS please refrain from having your precious kids take any metro bus ANY KIDS. What I would suggest is get your kids on a Uber account I'm sure that you have seen those commercials with the kids in them. AVOID taking Metro it ain't safe! I've lived in Seattle for 40 years riding the bus for all but one year of that & I've seen a rapid decline myself! From gangs who wanted my cell phone luckily I dress badly so I lied, to a mentally ill woman screaming at her mother like Linda Blair from that famous movie that scares you. Only to turn her wrath on me. Buses are not safe. I was also threatened with grave bodily harm.. Just a suggestion. I couldn't take it I now live WAY out of state thanks to a friend of mine. I still love King 5 & Joyce.

What terrific parenting. Kids aren't afraid of zero punishment. When I was growing up, an adult wouldn't hesitate to slap some sense into a punk kid acting like an idiot. Now kids are bold, empowered, and have not a care in the world of consequences.

Why are you guys never talking about the parents? How are these kids able to get so out of control? How is their home life? Are their parents at fault? Some may have no clue what their kids are up to, but I find it hard to believe that most of the parents of these kids don't know. It's more likely that they just don't care what their kid does, or they lead a lifestyle themselves that increases the chances their kids turn into sociopaths. It's not normal for kids to do this, especially if they have a healthy family environment.
A 7 year old could be tough to catch because he can act or be a baby and dress differently not many photos and info and he is small! And seemingly hard to charge a 7 old with any crime!
