You don't even need to publish your wallpaper to Steam. If you press "prepare for Steam", take a snapshot and then hit cancel the snapshot will still be saved. It's an easier and faster method. Other than that I have nothing else to say, it was a really good video!
Thanks for the tutorial videos. I enjoy making the wallpapers, seeing what I can create with it, my only problem is all you can do is use it on your own desktop or publish it for others to use. This nice software is limiting itself and amount of users I would say by not allowing people to convert there finished product into an mp4 video file so they can share it with other people. If I'm taking the time and putting in all the effort into creating a live wallpaper and want to use it in another video as a background, I can't because you can't convert them. I'd say this may be the biggest drawback to Wallpaper Engine and why others may not buy it, if I had known beforehand the created wallpapers couldn't be used else where I wouldn't have bought it, even at only $4.
Is there anyway to change the particle color to black without making it translucent? I want to change the snow asset to black to resemble falling ash but it just disappears when I select black.
So is there absolutely no way to apply an effect to an asset? It's really annoying because I'm trying to add a Iris Movement to the image so it has a shaky-cam look. But all the assets I've added do not move together with the image
@@ArtemisWE Heads up, someone on the Steam Forums told me how to do it. You can add a Post Processing asset, it's a transparent layer that you can add effects to. Every Asset under the Post Processing layer will show it's effects.
I haven't worked with the new Date and Time functionality they recently added, but if I recall correctly they made a post on steam explaining how it worked. As for battery percentage, I don't think that is possible. It might be with scripts but I have no experience with that either.

Hmm, make sure to double check the item's visibility is on public in the workshop. Otherwise it could be your profile's privacy settings that hide your workshop from the public, maybe check that place out as well?
I genuinly do not know I'm afraid. It could indeed be that you haven't spend money on steam yet but I've never heard of this system, so I can't tell you for sure.

Right click a wallpaper and select "Play in Window" and record it with obs. From obs you can select to record a windows and it will be fullscreen.
Just use obs like OP suggested, such an easy drawback to fix imo.

Sadly, no, there is no way to apply an effect to a non-image asset.
