After looking at some other hair wallpapers, I figured out that they weren’t in depth, and the same applies to me, but when I come back to this video I realize how much better it was, the flow of the hair and the different value settings is a really good skill that you taught in this video. I give huge thanks to you for making it.
a suggestion about fixing the parts that aren't supposed to move: pick a smaller brush and press the show mask mark and then you can paint without spilling over and saves you time too. hope this will help you
Thank you, I searched on RUclips for a guide, but I didn’t find it in Russian. (I'm from Russia) But your guide is very detailed and understandable. Thank you very much.
thanks! my videos are kinda low effort and i don't exactly post very often but there weren't many beginner wallpaper enigne tutorials, so as long as the concepts are somewhat clear and they help people learn im happy.
ya sorry about that, i dont link to my steam profile just because the majority of what i make is mature animations, so i dont know how friendly youtube is with that. i imagine i should pop up if you google vell wallpaper engine
Water waves is kinda werid, the first time you click paint it automatically fills the opacity mask with black which hides everything. you can either select 255 for your strength and hit the clear button to get everything back or just start painting on the hair areas with the white value.
I know these are two strange questions but here goes: #1 how do you get a Dark Mode for Wallpaper Engine? #2 How do you zoom in and move around the picture while editing assets on layers? I can zoom in but I can't move it over.
open up the settings menu and go to the about tab, then input the konami code with the arrow keys ( up up down don left right left right b a enter) which unlocks a bunch of different themes. the one im using is obsidian. you can move your canvas around just by holding right click
Excellent, well explained. Just starting to dig into WE and this is incredibly helpful. Am I really the 1000th subscriber? Or do you actively keep the sub count at 999? :)
what is the name of the Program , man?? i really want to make animated Wallpaper but dont know what system i should use , because using on AE only movement of the Character ,and that, i can do but the rain , or storm or small drop or anything add to it is kinda difficult , or maybe impossible for me to make . Recently i found your video , seem like this Program can help me with it . So what is your suggest ?? Thank u
you can try setting your brush strength to 0 and pressing the clear button, that should fill it with black. then switch back to 255 strength and try painting again. if that doesnt work then just press the ok button to confirm your mask and then hit the x button on the mask (in the right side menu) to delete it and try adding a new mask
not in a direct way, it can be done but its more like. make the animation in wallpaper engine. use screen recording software to record the animation. convert the video file into a gif use image editing software to edit the gif into a loop and then upload that gif to steam. its possible just really annoying
@@VellAnimations i was about to request a video how you did your artwork xd welp i think that it's annoying af but ill give it a try accept me on steam i like your work :3 steamcommunity.com/id/mou7cif
with aftereffects you could in theory cut apart and animate each piece of hair individually to get a really complex animation but the problem with after effects is you need to export your animation as a video which means you cant include the mouse tracking layer parallax movement that i like to add to my wallpapers. you can only do that with a scene type layered wallpaper. You can use multiple layers of hair in a scene wallpaper too but wallpaper engine starts to consume a lot of memory if you use too many layers.
the video or the wallpaper? youtube videos youd just have to google youtube video downloader. Wallpapers cant be saved as mp4s the only way to get a video of them is to record your screen. you can right click a wallpaper in wallpaper engine and play in a pop out window, then record that with something like OBS
@@VellAnimations Thank you, Vell for your help. Yes, I want to download the wallpaper as mp4. If I want to play the video for 30 minutes (loop), then I just record it for 30 minutes? THanks again brother.
hello If got it from Steam account Can i install in on my different computer ? Will i have install Steam & log in with that account only :( or how will i be able to use it on different Laptop ?
you would need to install steam, then install wallpaper engine then you can close steam on that other account. you dont need steam running to use wallpaper engine but you would need it to use the workshop to browse wallpapers
you cant, you would need to use some form of screen recording sofware to record the animation and save it. wallpaper engine wallpapers are built to only run within wallpaperengine
