Wallpaper engine - How to add blinking with shake tool

I'v had a few people ask me how i do blinking, the answer is the tutorial available on the wallpaper engine wiki. This is simply a demo of this tutorial.
near the end of the video i say there are 2 alternate methods i know of to add blinking then only talk about making a gif. The second way is to use those gif frames and load them into a particle system but that is by far the worst way. you cant make a particle system match an image layers movements.
