One more trick. Once the cake is done, wrap it in plastic film till the next day. That is the key to get a really MOIST banana bread (it's the Hawaiian way).
For those wondering about why their butter hasn't solidified, It does take a lot longer than 10-15 minutes. The pan has to completely cool down. At that point, the butter begins to solidify. Once it begins to solidify, I start gathering the butter into the center of the pan using a silicone spatula. It takes about 30-40 minutes.
I’d recomendable taking the butter out of the pan once it’s done so that it doesn’t continue cooking and can cool down more easily. To cool it down even more quickly, I placed the butter in a medium bowl, which I then placed inside a larger bowl containing iced water. Check on it every now and then though because it can get too hard without you even noticing. I also recommend giving it a mix or two while it’s cooling because the edges of the butter touching the bowl harden quicker. I haven’t done an official comparison but I think this is quicker than putting it in the fridge because it cools down the plate immediately.
One of the best banana cake recipe! I made one today and added orange zest to it, my house was smelling so incredible. And the bread turned out to be so flavorful. Thank you tasty for giving us such amazing banana bread recipe.
I was a little skeptical because sour cream was listed as an ingredient. However, this banana bread recipe turned out to be a hidden gem. My whole family loved it. I would highly recommend to everyone.

3:14 Quick Tip, if you're already using a hand mixer, you can use that to mash your bananas. You're gonna be adding it back to your batter anyways so it doesn't matter if some of it gets into it plus you get mashed bananas in seconds.
I have been putting the turbinado sugar on top of my banana bread loaves for as long as I can remember, before I ever saw it on a recipe. Really great addition to banana bread.
Oh my god this banana bread was 10/10! I baked it for about 50 minutes and it was a bit underdone, but it made it soooo moist (almost like a mix between a cake and brownie and banana pudding) and the flavor was absolutely amazing!!! I used less flour and accidentally set it on broiler for the last 10 minutes which made the top charred but holy cow the layer underneath was actually incredible??? My parents love it~ Will definitely make again!!!!! edit: I also used only about 3/4 stick of butter without browning(lack of time) and just used a cup of strawberry greek yogurt Still kind of amazed that it all worked together so well LOL
I tried this recipe and mine turned out to be extremely sweet because I had used very very ripe bananas which were completely black on the outside (forgot them in the fridge) so if you're going to use those I recommend adding less sugar or adding only 3 bananas instead of 4. I poked some holes in my bread and drizzled some instant coffee mixed in water to decrease the sweetness. Hopefully it works. Otherwise the bread is very soft and the browned butter smell is really nice
I have tried so many banana bread's ...so far this is the best one is the one !!! Great one, is did substitute the sour-cream and still was delicious. Thank you !
