Very informative. Always good to know the little tricks on these tools. Might have to get one of these. Wish it had a flashlight thanks again keep up the good content!
I’m a Toughbuilt fan. I’ve got quite a few of their products. I don’t really care for the bulk of the big utility knives like this. But the exception I make is for the Toughbuilt dual utility knife and scraper. It’s a clever and elegant design.
There are only 2 utility blade tools that Toughbuilt makes, that I don't have. The scraper/blade one and the type you change the magazine for different blades. I will probably pick them up after the holidays, and do a review of them a few months down the line.
@@Survival-gyver the one that switches to the scraper honestly is too bulky without a pocket clip. You need a knife pouch if you want to carry it. I do drywall, and it gets gunked up and doesn't want to work right. The magazine one is much better (again with a pouch) but for drywall and dirty work, it's a better option.
I can’t find this knife at any store, I wound up buying the knife with pry bar, I like it a lot, as I like all my knives, Fastback and Hart versions as well. I bought the TOUGHBUILT scraper knife with paint can opener, it’s bad ass. I love all of these knives, it’s my latest passion.
@@Survival-gyver There's one site in England that has them for £28.91 - $37.61 USD + shipping 😳. Otherwise, Ali Express is your other option for $22.??.
I wish the driver could lock at 90 degree as well. It just needs to have one more small notch at that position. It wouldn't interfere with swinging out the driver all the wall to straight position. But will be very helpful when you need more torque. Also the 60mm double ended bit is less common than the 65mm ended bit. They don't have much choice since they need to put the button for the blade and the pivot as well. Luckily you can fit a 2inch double ended bit which is common.
Get the Milwaukee Impact Phillips and Flat Double Sided Bit, That has been my modification to mine so far. Let me know how the notch works out! I use the heck out of this knife and it's literally almost entirely metal colored at this point lol so I'm super down to start modifying it to be even better! I'm planning on drilling out the magnet and buying different magnets and experimenting with how much stronger I can get the magnet to be at the same size the old one was! I'd love to hear from you about that notch because I legitimately think that'd be such a good modification for it!
@@cbee213 I have spent some time to take apart the tool. You only need a T15 and T8 to unscrew screws on both sides. The small T8, there is 1 that is longer than the others. To pull both side apart you need to extend the screw driver out first. The blade holder has stops at 0 and 180, they are locked by a cylindrical part. You need to dermel/take away some metal from the holder to make an extra stop. I have not yet do that. The cylindrical part is 6.4 to 6.5mm in diameter
@@Kaevinlaw thank you so much! This information is so good to know! I'll likely take my knife apart in a few weeks and experiment! I'll let ya know how it goes

I agree, a flashlight would be nice.
Best design yet ive seen.
If you open both the pry tool and the screw driver at the same time it makes an excellent cap lifter/bottle opener.
awesome, thank you.

I've been looking for a few days for you, I too cannot find it. I've emailed ToughBuilt about it, just waiting on a response.

That blade has a hole in it that standard blades don't. Does it need special blades?
No, though ToughBuilt has their own blade design, that extra hole in needed only for the scrapper model to hold the blade in.
Where can I find this knife?
Lowes home improvement. There is a link in the description.
@@Survival-gyver it’s says that it’s out of stock and I can’t find it in my local Lowe’s, im out of luck haha
@@rudyrw4146 I also checked, they are out. I did check Amazon as once in a while they will have it, but no luck. Sorry.
Where can I find it?
Its currently out of stock in Lowes, you may need to do a google search to find one still available.
Too bulky for me, I like the pry bar but Milwaukee fastback 6 in 1 is my shortlisted pick.
