Hi bro, nowadays for AWD, we can switch on/off manually. So that it will not affect mileage Example: XUV 700
They name it as AWD ... But it is actually 4x4

Wait mostly in AWD cars you can't switch it On or Off.Only in full 4x4 we can channel the power to Rear or both.
But in Awd only the car detect and changes the power to it.
AWD are mostly front Biased car with optional support in Rear wheel when it's slips
@@cars2wiki899 You are correct! The system will detect and determine it. But Now we also have an on/off option. I have booked XUV 700 AWD, it has an on/off switch.
@@aravind4028 the On / Off button in Xuv is torque biasing switch what it basically does it it provides the same amount of Torque to front and rear unlike a 4x4 it provides power to front and back in here it tries to maintain the Torque as equal.But I just want you to look after the Awd variant bro cause I seen some people complaing about some vibrations and wobbling in 50 to 80km in Awd variant.So kindly look into that before taking delivery of it

@birlasparvai one doubt. 4*4 WD la cornering apo differential work agama car rotate aga chance irukunu soningala. But differential irukura reason ye far side wheel speed increase and nearest side wheel speed decrease panradu dana. Apadi panalana adhu irukuraduku ena use

Sir your explanation is very good and informative. I am looking for a 7 seater car. Budget 25L and prefer diesel. Shortlisted Tata safari, scorpio, Carens,xuv700. Mahindra cars have long waiting period and they are not even giving cars for test drive. So between Safari and Carens which is good.
