Great review ☺ love the Filmation version of the Motu figures and I think this style of box is probably my favourite, love the art work on the boxes ☺ very cool figure 😍☺
Hordak is definitely my favorite from Wave 1. Looks like the cartoon come to life. But Super7 has REALLY got to get their paint applications under control! So messy!
As I understand it, all the parts used were either newly tooled or re-tooled. Super 7 does not have the Mattel molds. So, that Imp did not "come out of the mold differently" -- it came out of a totally different mold.
I’m almost afraid I’m going to either snap the peg on his arm and/or snap of where his bicep meets his shoulder to exchange that arm for his arm cannon! Any suggestions?
I have to say i love the figure, os very solid and it does have that filmation look unlike previous figures, still i wonder and hope someone can help me .... i cant remove any of the figure arms at all they are damn hard, would be much appreciated if someone could help with some ideas or ways to get it off coz i really need that canon arm on place ...hey its Hordak so yeah is a must xD
I have to say with the gloss and matte paints, it almost comes off as a custom. I swear you can see brush strokes on the black parts of the chest armor...
hola amigo pixel dan ojalá puedas entender mi mensaje. Te quería preguntar que si la pechera es removible o es un torso totalmante nuevo para este HORDAK FILMATION. Saludos desde México.
Hordak is the leader of the Evil Horde in the Masters of the Universe franchise. He's a ruthless tyrant motivated by sheer megalomania and an unquenchable thirst for conquest of Eternia and Etheria.
I really enjoyed this review! I like the new Hordak filmation (super 7 edition) because it looks just like the She Ra cartoon version. For some strange reason, he looks even tougher to me than the Mattel version. I love that he has the bones around his hood and that they got the feet right. I just wish super 7 had kept the same level of quality. It seems the small problems you have with these figures are sloppy paint, wrong firmness of plastic etc... Mattel got it right more than they got it wrong. Thank you again for the review!
Another solid review, Pixel Dan, but I just can't get behind the Filmation line's Toontown look. Many Filmation characters existed in the Classics universe before this formal line. Like the She-Ra, New Adventures, and 200X characters, the He-Man characters looked great with both the extra detailing and respect shown to their animated appearances. These new Filmation figures don't go well at all with the Classics collection I've gathered, though my wallet is grateful.
I had a few Masters figures back in the day, but they were never my favourite toys, because they were so limited in their articulation and ridiculously proportioned, especially compared to things like the Sectaurs figures. If we'd had Masters figures like THESE, I would have snapped them up. Wish I could afford them as an adult, but pieces on the secondary market - especially here in the UK, are ridiculous.
big bad toy store pre order or on e bay nyc joeblack but you ll have to wait for them to ship it to the seller on e bay. big bad toy store much better. if its sold out youll get him with teela man at arms teela.
I have to recognize that this is a quite decent figure, even though I'm no fan of Filmation's version of Hordak (always thought that it was pretty lazy on both Mattel and Filmation to not give She-Ra her very own antagonist and instead borrowing one originally intended for He-Man).
I had paint issues on my as well. I love super 7 and this is their first wave, so there's going to be some quality control issues, but hopefully this will get sorted out for the next wave.
You were overly polite with your review... It is obvious the paint apps are horrible. Thick, thin, sloppy, overly shiny. Makes the figure look cheap and the price tag is anything BUT cheap. Sad they couldn't match the quality of Mattel.
It has about the same level of detail as the other figures in the filmation subline IMHO. The paint does look a little sloppy, but no worse than we've seen on various MOTUC figures in the past. As for the increased price, at this point I think most of the increased cost is going to the overhead that comes from a smaller production run.
Love these filmation figures - I'll have to pick this one up!
So great to have you reviewing MOTU again Dan! ❤
Thanks for watching, guys! Next up: Quakke!
Nice! Very anxious for Man-At-Arms.

Great review ☺ love the Filmation version of the Motu figures and I think this style of box is probably my favourite, love the art work on the boxes ☺ very cool figure 😍☺
Imagine that head would look like on a horde trooper body just like in Secret of the Sword
Hordak is definitely my favorite from Wave 1. Looks like the cartoon come to life. But Super7 has REALLY got to get their paint applications under control! So messy!
Love your reviews! Great job! With this figure a 25 years old dream comes true!

Favorite Hordak figure by far. Looks just like him. Hope they get to do the rest of the Horde soon!
Im diggin the dramatic organ background music 😁
Dan - I didn't hear you mention anything about the head being swapable - do the heads still pop off? Anyone?
Bo Clarke Didn’t try it, but the head should be swapable - the bone collar isn‘t.
Nice, we're finally getting MOTU figures with ankle pivots thanks to Super7 taking on the license!
Awesome side by side. Very happy to have the Super7 version.
That's an awesome Hordak!
Hey Dan,
Did your Hordak had a hard time turning in the waist?
Finally pulled the trigger on Filmation Hordak..
Nice figure, cool review.
WOW, What a GREAT Hordak, I love this Figure :D
ALL HAIL HORDAK! Leader of the HORDE! Great video Pixel Dan!! Now I gotta buy this and begin my collection!!!

Love this version of Hordack!! 😉👍
Does the cannon work on the left arm as well?
Yes
Thank you.
why are the wrists/arms so thin?
I have to say with the gloss and matte paints, it almost comes off as a custom. I swear you can see brush strokes on the black parts of the chest armor...
Best hordak figure yet!
He's really great, sadly I cant find one at an attainable price now :(
hola amigo pixel dan ojalá puedas entender mi mensaje. Te quería preguntar que si la pechera es removible o es un torso totalmante nuevo para este HORDAK FILMATION. Saludos desde México.
Germán Parada Germán La pechera no es removible, viene en una sola pieza.

It´s a like!!!!

I can understand that. I keep my Filmation figures on a seperate shelf.

great review dan cant wait to get this from big bad toy store. and the rest
drawingbyhand - Where can you buy this figure?

It's a good thing you're not scared of hordak anymore.
I have to recognize that this is a quite decent figure, even though I'm no fan of Filmation's version of Hordak (always thought that it was pretty lazy on both Mattel and Filmation to not give She-Ra her very own antagonist and instead borrowing one originally intended for He-Man).
They should have made Catra She-Ra's main villain.
Mattel version body looks better imo, especially the arm cannon. Just pop the head and cowl off the super7 version and put it on the Mattel body
Two wild and crazy guys @10:35. :)
I want to open
they could have still made torso articulation
I’m amazed by super 7 Hordak
wow It cost $250 Buy him now
If I was to pull the trigger on a filmation figure It would be hordak.
I had paint issues on my as well. I love super 7 and this is their first wave, so there's going to be some quality control issues, but hopefully this will get sorted out for the next wave.
Ahh love it
I've always hated Imp.
😈💀😈💀😈💀😈💀😈💀😈💀😈💀😈
Hordak...Do you need to say more!?
You were overly polite with your review... It is obvious the paint apps are horrible. Thick, thin, sloppy, overly shiny. Makes the figure look cheap and the price tag is anything BUT cheap. Sad they couldn't match the quality of Mattel.
Terrible painting on my Hordak and Teela. Teela is even missing one eyebrow, I'm quite disappointed.
It has about the same level of detail as the other figures in the filmation subline IMHO. The paint does look a little sloppy, but no worse than we've seen on various MOTUC figures in the past.
As for the increased price, at this point I think most of the increased cost is going to the overhead that comes from a smaller production run.
Hordak is actually female. The ladies of his race just look that way.
Personally I prefer the original Classics figure over the de-make Filmation line.
$35 price point, 9 month wait, and we can't even get double jointed elbows and knees? So far I am not happy with how Super7 is doing things...
Eric Sartin - Where do you buy the Hordak figure?
These were preorder only so third party is all that is available now unfortunately.
Don't like this Hordak at all!!!!! Super crap
