      Its actually an Eastern Box Turtle! They are a species of special concern so not endangered but certainly may be at risk.

    Great channel you got goin' dude, I like your 'film while looking' style with the gopro. Usually it's film after you've found something with most channels including mine lol. Cool finds as well. Keep up the good work! :)

    • @HudsonHerper
      @HudsonHerper  7 лет назад

      Thanks! Yeah I like it, imo it makes you feel like you're herping! I can't really do it when I look for rattlesnakes though as I don't want to reveal their habitat too much. And ive been mostly looking for rattlers

    • @FlipperDude309
      @FlipperDude309 7 лет назад +1

      Yeah that's understandable. It's best to keep Timber locations on the down low as best as possible. Too many illegal collectors out there and such. Btw your Timber vids are dope 👍

      I hear that man. I'm just over in CT, unfortunately it's a little TOO easy for people to find out Timber locations here, it sucks. And no prob! That vid of the 10 all rattling was sick. Can't wait to see more vids!

    I killed hundreds of copper heads and timber rattlers upstate on my property ever since they tagged my neighbors toddler one summer, now they are pretty much extinct around me.

      Hudson Herper well the snakes were bad for killing the toddler.

    • @HudsonHerper
      @HudsonHerper  6 лет назад +7

      @@dragon0361 so if said toddler was hit by a car would you go and dismantle every car on the nearby road? Awareness is all you need killing does nothing. Not to mention your story sounds very fake.

    • @craighealy6186
      @craighealy6186 5 лет назад +2

      dragon0361 thank you for killing those copper heads and timber rattlers. There is no reason why anyone should have to put up with that around their property and anyone else's property. A hospital visit for a venomous snake bite is upwards of $160,000. They bite our children and our pets and cause undue agony for 2 weeks or more. THOSE SNAKES SHOULD BE KILLED!!! NON VENOMOUS SNAKES SHOULD BE LEFT ALONE.

    • @deandavis8165
      @deandavis8165 3 года назад

      there is no record of a toddler killed by a copperhead in upstate NY so you are a liar. Snakebite in NY is very rare, deaths almost unheard of (3-4 since the late 1800's, one since antiserum invented). Timber rattlesnakes are endangered and protected by law, so I'd keep my loony tune rantings to myself. Only you thinks your some kind of genius hero.
