      We can not and must not leave this important value and teaching to the schools. It's our responsibility to pass on and impart in our children that God is the Creator and we are His creation. In fact, every time we pray with the children we start by acknowledging God as our Creator, Father, King, Lord, and Savior and thanking Him for creating us making us exist in the first place and giving us the opportunity to know Him through Jesus Christ the way, the truth, and the life.

    One of the reasons for the cultural decline is the rise of "creators" vs. artists. The stuff the people with such a lofty, self-appointed title "create" is of course mere "content" (not art); I have never seen a content sandwich on any menu anywhere (w/ the possible exception of a high school cafeteria), and even postmodern content galleries call themselves art galleries. There are "creative" solutions to accounting problems, mechanical problems, etc., but no artistic solutions. This indicates a rise of the EGO, since what's important is the fact that a person considers him- or herself a "creator;" it's also an inclusive term, since to upload a cat video to YT you need to hit a button that says "create," but the term "artist" is exclusive to people with artistic talent and ability. Incidentally, all "art-"ifice is inert material, and the most brilliant depictions of creation by the most brilliant artists in history are still just pieces of stone, or colored pieces of paper or canvas. Creation is a truly divine act. The most "creative" people in the world can only ever hope to approximate its shadow, at best.
    Fortunately, the real Creator is still in charge.

    Humans by nature it seems are quite delusional. This desire to be a God. It effected Adam and eve. All it took was a simple lie and that was enough, the temptation to be godlike was too great.
    Yet, we cannot be like God. We cannot create a universe, or be infinite. Yet somehow we like to walk around thinking we are Gods and want everyone around us to treat us as such.
    It takes sermons from preachers to keep the human mind on track, grounded back to reality, to know our place. Every generation of human needs this reminder. The Jews in old testament strayed from God very quickly.
    Once the rapture happens and all of God's people are taken to heaven, the remaining people on earth without any christians to guide them, will be in a living hell that will get worse and worse as each generation passes i believe.

    Men invent gods who then bestow us with various obligations, according to the whim of the inventor. They even invite us to become god-like, immortal, like them. Thus arises the holy man, the man of god. Women are rarely offered this honor.
    BTW on page one of genesis god is already plural (but not yet triangular) and they say "let us make humankind in our image, according to our likeness". This the first of three contradictory creation tales in genesis. Adam, or somebody, gets made three times. Eve is not made from dust but from bone, an organic material.

    • @MichaelWilliams-eq4kt
      @MichaelWilliams-eq4kt 3 месяца назад

      "They even invite us to become god-like, immortal, like them. Thus arises the holy man, the man of god."
      The biblical account shows humanity created as image-bearers of the Creator in an immortal, set apart for God's purposes of governing the earthly realm. This is the both original and final design for humanity.
      ""Women are rarely offered this honor."
      The woman is an image-bearer of the Creator from the beginning of creation, just like the man. The equal status of women as image-bearers in scripture is continued when the Creator Himself becomes man and He treats women with the same dignity, going so far as to make women the first witnesses to the resurrection in a culture where a woman's testimony was devalued by men.
      "BTW on page one of genesis god is already plural (but not yet triangular) and they say "let us make humankind in our image, according to our likeness"."
      The Most High God is speaking to the gods, the divine He created to rule the heavens with Him, which is elaborated upon in Job. The rebels of this divine council presently rule over the nations and enslave those who either do not yet know Christ or who reject Him.
      "Adam, or somebody, gets made three times."
      Two accounts framed in different ways, the first in the context of the creation week, the second examines the creation of humanity in contrast with the rebellion of humanity via chiasm in chapters 2 and 3.
      "Eve is not made from dust but from bone, an organic material."
      In the image of God and therefore afforded exactly the same honour as the man, an equal partner whereby the same term 'helper' describing her relationship with Adam is applied elsewhere to the Creator Himself.
      "Men invent gods who then bestow us with various obligations, according to the whim of the inventor."
      Men worship the creation rather than the Creator. Some worship the gods, others nature, or animals, but many of them today worship themselves according to their whims and base sensual desires, following in the same footsteps of the adversary who leads them in the path of destruction that he himself paved. The scriptures describes them saying "Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is set on earthly things."

    • @rf7477
      @rf7477 3 месяца назад

      @@MichaelWilliams-eq4kt This is a good example of the man-made nature of religion, complete with all of its contrivances, and a multitude of divine beings, some of whom are rebels.
      Human societies have been inventing this stuff for thousands of years.
      So, the monotheistic god of abraham makes humans (three times) by imaging a polymorphic group of gods who are all suspiciously human like, but male and female. Please note: you cannot make a female in the image of a male. An "image bearer" is deliberate obfuscation which allows men to declare themselves god-like. A bone is not an image. It isn't even a symbol.
      The fact that an omnipotent god would plan and create multiple gods, some of whom would become rebels, is an appalling contradiction that defies omniscience. This sort of unreason can only come from the devious minds of men. The fact that it is all invisible compounds its dishonesty.
      There are about 5 billion theists in the world today. They all demand worship of various gods, usually on dire consequence. They almost all insist on gods divine plan, prophesy, predestination or providence thereby producing another fatal contradiction, the mirage of free will.

    I've been trying to get a solid answer to the question; why is it that AiG uses almost all of Genesis 1, but switches to Genesis 2, for the creation of Man? I mean it's Genesis 1 & Genesis 2, not 1 and 1a. You don't make your own edits. Also, when you speak about Cain and his wife and where she came from, why is it that you completely "ignore" Genesis 4: 16-22 (LSB) to promote the "sister" narrative?

    • @glennmerriman8382
      @glennmerriman8382 3 месяца назад +2

      Genesis 1 is a broad account of the six days of creation, and Genesis 2 is a more detailed account of day 6, the day mankind was created. This is a self evident from the text. What are you implying here?
      The numbering of the chapter and verse was not in the original text. It was added later by man purely as a point of reference. So we could call it whatever we like. Whether it be Genesis 2 or Genesis 1a. This in no way edits the original text, but only serves to ease referring to it. What are you implying here?
      How does Genesis 4 16-22 contradict the implication in Genesis 4 16-17, that Cain took with him one of his sister as his wife? Genesis 5,4 says that Adam lived 800 years after fathering Seth, fathering other sons & daughters, but not mentioning them by name. Between the births of Abel, Cain and Seth, Adam also most likely fathered numerous daughters. What are you implying here?

It doesn't say Can traveled with anybody to Nod, least of all his sister. If you have a version that says otherwise, I would be curious in a citation for it.

    • @glennmerriman8382

      @@kennethswenson6214 You are correct that Genesis does not explicitly state that Cain married his sister, or travelled with anybody to Nod. Nobody is saying this, and the Bible does not need too. It is simply inferred from what is recorded. It is a simple logical conclusion, as simple as 1+1+=2. Cain would have had to take one of his sisters with him, as there is no other conclusion that can be drawn from what is explicitly recorded.
      Are you implying, that unless something is explicitly recorded in the Bible, it could never occur? That the Bible can never hint or imply? That 1+1 cannot ever be inferred to equal two, unless the Bible explicitly says so?

      @@glennmerriman8382 Which version of Genesis 2 are you talking about. The LSB that I am looking at, starts out with an epillog or summation. And then in verse 4 shifts to a re-telling of the story from almost the beginning. Genesis 2, also discusses the fact that there are landmarks (rivers and cities) beyond Eden. Looking at other "Jewish" texts, it is evident that the verses where Cain left Eden to find a wife; are written in the tone that they are in, because of the Mosaic Laws with respect to marriage, etc. It is commonly understood that Genesis (no matter who you consider was the author) was written after other books in The Pentateuch; even if chronologically speaking it occurred BEFORE.

    There is some problems in what you are saying. Bible verses about submission in marriage and Jesus saying sexual immorality is the only ground for divorce has historically led to women historically being abused, treated as children, under the control of their husbands and unable to leave a marriage when there has been domestic violence. I have have six friends in Christian marriages married to Christians experience terrible dv and I shudder to think what would happen if society was more Christian. And the interpretation of these verses is not just due to man's sinfulness or unreasonable interpretations. I have found it depends as well on the emotional intelligence, life experiences and how far along the autistic spectrum the person is. We live in a society that values the experiences of women and that has led to an interpretation of these verses but back in the day there was no such worldview. There are no verses specifically on domestic violence in the new testament and that has led to terrible suffering. We look at the good but ignore the bad. As a woman I am glad I live in these days. Also there are some problems in the Bible. For example did Judas or the Pharisees but the field - compare Matthew to Acts. While I believe I can't deny the Bible has led to things. Just something to think about. Not said in a hostile way but I find you don't reflect on these things. Thanks Alicia

If only all these people are more Christ like then they wouldn't hurt others in any way shape or form. My dad was born a Christian died in his 40's. He was a drug addict, even though he never physically harm my mother but indeed emotionally. He gave in and succumbed to his selfish flesh addiction instead of focusing his life on God and his family, I think that is very un-Christ like. Christ's teachings are to humble yourself, teachable, patient, long-suffering, merciful, etc. I do believe if more "Christians" including myself are more Christ like in the way they behave, the world would see Christians in a better way.
