Lea Valley 3rd Track STAR update Jan 8 2019

Progres report on the work to add an additional track between Lea Bridge and Meridian water. This track will enable 4 trains per hour to run through Lea Bridge and provide a welcome boost from the current half-hourly service.
Most of the track and overhead line equipment seem to be in place between South Tottenham and Lea Bridge (north junction). But from the point where the Gospel Oak t Barking line crosses overhead, the overhead lines have not yet been hung. South of Tottenham Hale there is much excavation going on below the intended trackbed.
On probably the fastest journey I have experienced between the two stations to date - we see progress to date.
