There's no way! Just like an NFL player here that had never played Rugby wouldn't stand a chance of playing professionally if they went to Europe and tried out with only a couple of months of action. I honestly felt that by the 3rd game, LRZ had a couple of decent carries, one he actually gained around 10yds...He also had a good kickoff return too. I feel as though LRZ probably learned about as much as a player could be expected to in 6 weeks. I don't think Veach and Reid in KC saw no longterm potential like what's said in the video...I just think the Chiefs and Jaguars are in different places as an organization. KC can't afford to have a long term project hanging around and Jacksonville can. Plus, the Jaguars play multiple times in London every year so this can help them sell jerseys. KC doesn't need any help selling jerseys.

It's very difficult to play an elite sport if you haven't done it for a long time.
Frankly, some less notable rugby players than LRZ like Nate Ebner and Stephen Paea have done better than other crossovers after switching codes in high school or college.
For Rees-Zammit, or anyone else to do it in their 20s would be incredible.
But he might do it through sheer determination.
@@robmcrob2091 elite, big sport 🤔 there are 79 thousand registered rugby players in Wales a country with less than 1% of the population of the USA, 340,000 players in England a country with about 12.5 % of the population of the usa, , 38.500 rugby players in Scotland with just over 1% of the population of America, 95,000 players in Ireland, a country with around 2% of the population of America that's 552,500 players of which only 37 made it to the last British and Irish lions tour of south africa something that only happens once every 4 years, so you tell me how elite do you need to be to be one of 37 out of 550,000 dreaming and playing for that opportunity since childhood and doing this by the age of 20 when most of your elite American football players are still in college and managed to score the opening try of the tour within 3 minutes 👍 oh and the numbers I've given are adults not kids that's a far greater number, there are 550,000 male adults playing rugby in just the tiny British isles that's a 1 in 3.4 million chance of achieving what lrz had achieved by the age of 20, that's elite👍 not to mention most of the chiefs fans are only chiefs fans due to Taylor swift 🤣 and there were as many people watching France in the quarter finals of the rugby world cup as there was watching "the biggest show on earth" mostly adverts and half time show 👌 American football is not an elite sport , it's the 3rd most watched of the most popular sports in America behind baseball and basketball, in fact field hockey, table tennis and volleyball have a bigger world wide audience 😬 American sports are big in America, other sports are big all over the world
@@richardstuart3882you are a delusional corn ball
He has less chance than a snow ball in hell.
As a Chiefs fan, I watched him play and wasn't surprised to see him let go. I didn't expect him to be able to stick. He's a great athlete but learning a whole new sport in just a few months?
It’s like mma going to boxing
NFL inactive salary is better than a Rugby stars... LRZ is famous back home but hes smart too
None of this is actually accurate, maybe ask an NFL fan first how cut days work or at least check how the IPP spot works for the practice squad 😂 it’s like someone writing a book report by skimming the crib notes. But good luck LRZ, rooting for you even though KC didn’t work out.
4.45 is not that fast. And the states love stats.
Yeah he admitted it was not his best. But the picked him despite that. I think it was the preseason that killed it
@@sports2hedz542having a free IPP spot on your team, being able to get more publicity outside the U.S for your team and selling shirts is what got him on the team. Rugby is more forgiving when you lack performance. NFL is highly competitive and performance based from the first snap. You better be perfect or play close to it. For LRZ as a RB, he needs to make 10 yards per attempt consistently.
CEH was competitive and consistently?
Sometimes you need some luck to stay.
@@javimarulu4247 luck is when preparation meets opportunity. You don't blindly throw your arm out and hope to knock out Mike Tyson. What is CEH?

@@javimarulu4247 i know enough to know that Tuisova is built like NFL Running Backs, and LRZ is not tackle breaker. Feel free to search Josua Tuisova. He is the type of rugby player that will drag people or brush them aside.
@@javimarulu4247 I'm a Dolphins fan. I know the type of rugby players that are suitable for NFL transitions. Take Josua Tuisova for example, he is built for Running Back role in the NFL. LRZ is not gonna fight your yards, and hardly break tackles.
Easier for rugby players to convert to NFL than NFL players converting to high level rugby
Great backhanded comment yes let's go from the league that rakes in billions of dollars and pays their players an extraordinary amount to a league that gives their players pennies in comparison...... rugby is a wonderful sport but there's a reason why the NFL is so popular around the world.... I understand he was the best of the best but that doesn't always translate to a different sport. Serena Williams got almost shut out and complete sets when she played the 120th ranked male in the world..... USA womens soccer team that wins the gold got annihilated by a boys high school team in soccor friendly...... no sour grapes. The guy is talented but he needs more time to cook

Jaguars are playing in London…coincidence?!
Nope
Jags play two games a year in the uk as expanding the franchise so they are classed as a UK home team. So in away makes sense he goes with the jags. However, will he play a regular season game, most likely not. But it does help expand the nfl across the pond with a good looking young buck thar the uk seem to have alot of hope in. All them notes rolling in. He'll his no.9 jersey was the best selling nfl jersey in the UK a month back.
So he is now just a publicity gimmick.
@@MooseUK KC gave him a real look but the Jags they are all about the PR so yes now he’s just a gimmick. He should not go to the jags and just go back to rugby.
@@MooseUKdefinitely just a PR toy. I would bet they put him on the active roster for a UK game, get loads of people excited, let him run a few plays or return a kick, it would be worth it just for the shirt sales and publicity.
I don’t know how the NFL works but could he not play competitively at a lower level and then make the jump once he’s got som real game experience?
Why would he do that? He’s a pretty boy winger and it’s best for him to be in the public eye for his brand and his sponsorship. Being on a practise squad away from the public eye won’t sit well but maybe it’s worth a go in order to try and make the squad and make millions. He’s earning more on the practise squad than in rugby anyway.

The Jaguars practice squad is the best place for him to learn.

rugby pkayers always want to play rb or wr. they should be trying to play safety. Same as jarred hayne. they arent fast enough for offensive side but they have great tackle and int instincts.
Can we ever see an honest pundit say that he didn't get a chance to show what he could do and the only chances he really got were with the 3s and 4s all players fighting for their own spot so for example remigio not blocking for him on a kick return or he would of made massive yards if not gone all the way, these things are simply overlooked, remigio made special teams but after what he did to lrz I'd say he's not much of a team player as a coach I'd cut him ! I hope it comes back to haunt the chiefs
Rugby is his game not the NFL and it shows
Horrible take! He was playing with 3’s and 4’s because that was his level..he’s actually below that level. Nice kid but he needs to go back to rugby.
@@cjboyer4355 bollocks, chiefs didn't know how to use his skills so sold some shirts and moved him on
@@richardstuart3882 what skills? He had no backfield vision, he ran with his pads in the clouds when he had the ball, when he didn’t have the ball he ran with his hands down by his waist, he was completely clueless when it came to blocking, had no clue how to run routes. You’re right though the greatest offensive coach in NFL history just didn’t know to use him I’m sure that’s it.
You know who the Jags coach is? He’s one of Andy Reid’s former assistants who runs a similar offensive scheme he just doesn’t win like Andy does.

Not good enough... And that's no disrespect to the player...
