Michael Vick, Ed Reed, Ray Lewis the OGs of this game
Terrell Suggs, all time leader in TFL ... 🙄
Holati nagta
Jacoby Jones
hell no your delusional
@@Cum007 nah
And to think the Eagles went 4-12 while the Ravens won the super bowl
War eagle ur right
Yup 😂 GO RAVENS!... Eagles won the battle but we won the war.
2009-12 eagles home openers were all against eventual superbowl champs.. lol
2009 Saints
2010 Packers
2011 Giants
2012 Ravens
@@corndog6269that's interesting
😅😅😅😂😂😂@@corndog6269
This was Ray Lewis last season in the NFL winning his 2nd Super Bowl.
Yes, you felt smart commenting this or something? Lol
@Marie Madison nope, just wrong there bud
@Marie Madison no, he and the ravens have only won 2 Super Bowls. You can just google that by the way lol
@Marie Madison you on crack or what
@Ryan Irwin- Diehl flacco isn’t elite
Such a promising start to a really bad season for the Eagles
What caused their downfall?, Was it the death of Andy's son?
@@NillyNilly546 I think that had something to do with it
Nah that team was fools gold. Fuck was a turnover machine in that cleveland game and this one. Easily could've been 0-2 and that defense was terrible.
I remember being 3-1 but beating teams by less than a TD. We were talented, just poorly coached on defense
Foles rookie year
This was the season of Jacoby Jones. He was so fun to watch.
The final year of the Andy Reid era in Philadelphia!!
If vick had never did the dog thing he would be talked about alot more
That's a low bar.
actually no, hes still considered THE greatest Quarterback yhe Falcons ever had.
@@lordinfamous1438 but do you think other players have done worse
@@abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz4839 No it was Andy Reid. He had a coach that could maximize his talent.
Vick would have never blown that 28 - 3 lead that's for sure 😂
Dang I remember this season. Philly started 2-0 and ended up being trash it was so upsetting
Hope that doesn’t happen this year
@@tyb7943 oh and it didn’t 😂
@@shaun123862yes and no, great regular season, couldn’t bring it home against one ankle mahomes😂
Started off 3-1 and finished 1-11 🤦♂️
Ravens lost the battle but they won the war
6:20 aye that Vick tackle on Ray Lewis lol
10:30 that catch by Djax too
I remember Vick sending polamalu flying... in a preseason game
Man this game wasn't even a decade ago and I feel nostalgic seeing some of the names out there.
Early 2010’s Michael Vick (2010-2012) became a really good passer! We all know how fast and ridiculously athletic he was, but he became just as good as throwing the ball as well as running it too. Too bad it was short lived because the injuries and his age finally caught up to him…once he went to the Jets, that was the beginning of the end for Vick…
Naw just his skin color caught up with him!
Same old narrative black qbs play till they 30 of age and old white men can play till any age!
Had he stayed out of trouble he could of been great.
He was also a turnover machine
That interception to Ed Reed was because Ray Lewis Tackled the Tight End before the ball even got there , but bc its Vick they let it go. The difference between good and great Qb’ing in the NFL is often how the refs favor you . Smh
This was the 4th season in a row that the team who the eagles played in their home opener ended up winning the superbowl that year.
2009 - Saints/2010 - Packers/2011 - Giants/2012- Ravens. Even more remarkable because the ravens only play in philly once every 8 years.
The Ravens won the belt this year.
Damn right
Didn't even have Suggs this game
@Marie Madison sike Achilles injury was out until they played the Texans. Good try tho ;)
You already know 😈
@Marie Madison Show me.. I am waiting
VICK SLAMMED TF OUT OF RAY he was pissed lmao
I remember from 2011-2012 Philly went crazy in FA and everyone considered them a “super team “ Even though they went 8-8 and 4-12
Pollard out there smashing the hit stick every single play
underrated safety for sure
Even tho Vick is a scrabbling QB his pocket presence is insanely good!
Despite what he did off the field Vick was one of my favorite QBs !
I absolutely loved those deep passes from Vick to Jackson man good times
Ray Rice was one of the best RBs in the league for a short time and Shady in his prime is one of the most underrated RBs of all time
Oh 2012 the year were the ravens went to the Super Bowl and year were they had this is my opinion the best defense in 2012 with Ray Lewis, Ed Reed,Terrell Suggs thanks for the video NFL throwback oh and by the way this was Ray Lewis last season before retiring and Ed reed last season as a raven
And Eds last season with Ravens.
@@NillyNilly546 sorry about that I didn’t know about that
@@speedyeagle2.25 No problem man, I was just adding to it.
Then reed was a semi Texan lmao played like one game
The season Flacco had the juice...one of the best post season runs ever! 🔥🔥🔥
And then got way overpaid following that season
@@DR.K14payed him but not our defense flacco deserved to get paid but not all that money especially when we knew ray was retiring and ed reed was probably gonna leave if we didn’t get a deal done which he did that contract started sm mediocre seasons luckily we hit the jackpot and drafted lamar along with retooling the roster to get some better pieces
did yall see how vick man handled lewis to the groud tho lol
I'm STILL trying to learn that dance Jacoby Jones was doing
I hated having Nate Allen and Kurt Coleman on the team. They sucked so bad. Just like Nathan Gerry.
Don’t forget Asomugha. And DRC was mediocre at best
@jaboo82681 for us panthers he had like 8 INTS for us in 1 season man was a baller for us
Coleman eventually became a decent player, but that was several years after his time in Philly. He was a deer in the headlights throughout 2012, and I don't miss him at all
@jaboo82681 Oh I dragged him plenty when he was an Eagle haha
Allen was better no doubt his 1st year but other than that nothing impressive.
As a Ravens fan this game pissed me off lol
Everytime Shady runs the ball all I hear in my head is “CRAZY WORK”😂
He gave them some “CRAZY WORK” too 💯😂☠️
The Eagles should start wearing their green pants more often! In my opinion, the white jerseys look better with green pants than with the white ones.
Me too, I like it better myself.
Fr. Didn't they used to wear them more often anyway?
The all blacks are killa 🔥. Same for other squads (Ravens Saints Falcons sports em the best)
Damn its feels like an eternity since Andy Ried left Eagles
I remember this game, actually was just thinking about this one the other day. Thought the Eagles were gonna be something this season, and I remember really missing Suggs this game... But at least the Ravens won the Bowl ✊🏾
The way Vic threw that 60 yard bomb to Jackson was effortless
5:26 that dance tho was firee
Fun Fact: Everytime the Eagles would open up at home against a team. That visiting team would winning the Super Bowl which would be a pattern for 4 years.
2008: Steelers
2009 Saints
2010 Packers
2011 Giants
2012 Ravens
I love watching these old games. It keeps me sane during the off season.
I forgot what a nice ball Vick threw... I also forgot what a fun team the Eagles used to be to watch!
i was 9 years old watching this game and remember it like it was yesterday its the forst nfl game i actually sat and watched every play been an eagles fan ever since I seen desean jackson , mike vick , and lesean mccoy play together💯 psa : im from baltimore😭
7:46 This is when I knew we might have something special with Tucker. Cundiff couldn't hit above 50 yards, but Tuck did so with ease.
Man after this game it seemed like the sky was the limit. 2012 ended up being the least fun year I've ever had as an Eagles fan, except maybe for this one currently....
It’s always a HEATED moment when you play the Eagles in Philly lol 😂
Great commentary by the great Greg Gumble 🔥🔥🔥
You forget how good ray rice actually was
It's crazy to see future Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles on the sideline.
foles ended up becoming a starter after our 8 game losing streak and foles was the one to end the losing streak by throwing a game winning TD pass. Next season he went 27 TDs 2 interceptions and went 10-6
RIP Jacoby Jones
As a PA native & a Ravens fan, this was one of the best games I've ever watched .. A lot of greats on the field at once #TakeUsBack
Yea, Mike Vick, Desean Jackson, Ray Lewis & E. Reed, four Hall of Famers in my book!
The year Baltimore won at the blackout bowl
watching this after the passing of Jacoby Jones, dude was a beast, RIP
I remember this season for the Eagles. Although Vick couldn't get em to the playoffs after a 2-0 start...
8 game losing streak, then foles ended it after a last second win against the bucs 🐐 with a TD to maclin
or avant. I forget lmao
Michael Vick is the best dual threat quarterback in the NFL!!! Let's go Eagles!!! Fly eagles fly!!! I love Michael Vick!!! I 🖤 #7!!! Go Michael Vick Go!!!
Vick is crazy good!!
Good game
Brent Celek was a monster back in the day
I forget how good he was. And important to that team.
This was a great game. Vick was great this year. I hope Philly can recreate this mojo tomorrow
That ravens defense was just so mean back then, great football
Saw Vick up here in AZ. Dude was awesome in person. Absolutely fast AF.
Friendly reminder that this game took place in the REPLACEMENT REF era
That OPI call on Jacoby Jones was horrible. If it hadn't been called, Ravens go up by 10
6:17 who thought Michael Vick would keep this
vick nearly suplexing ray lewis :D
Opening day of the 2023 NFL Season I had to come revisit this masterpiece.. I remember watching this at Outback Steakhouse.. Ravens will return to the Super Bowl this year 🖤💜🖤
I think the craziest thing is that Michael Vick can HIT yo. 4:52 he flips Ed reed, it is also important to note that Vick has flipped polamalu in similar fashion.
Any one else see nick foles on the sidelines at a backup😂
Jackson and Vick were deadly
Celek was giving them the business
The Eagles and Michael Vick never were the same after Vick got concussed against the Falcons. They brought him back way too fast, they kept saying on the radio during the Giants game, Vick seems out of it, somethings wrong with him. The Eagles had to take him out of the game. The Eagles never recovered. They were cruising against the Falcon on the way to score and get a 2 possessions lead, season changing play.
Even though they lost, this was Justin Tucker's coming out party
Man I miss Ray Rice, I hate he put himself in that dispute but this is good old fashion football
I wish we kept giving him the ball in this game that's the main reason we lost but at least we got the Lombardi that season
Damn watching this brings back so many memories of that super bowl year…lost this game but we won when it mattered
Man I miss Ed Reed and Ray Lewis on that defense. Vick was a bad man on the eagles. Hell of a game
11:03 "Why do footballs just fly to Ed Reed ?" explains why 1/4 of the Earth is covered by Ed Reed.
The 10-10 tie game in 1997 was a classic
Ravens vs Eagles
The bird’s game
Classic Football game
The Ravens ended up winning the chip that year, while the birds missed out on the playoffs all together.
Foles took over at end before getting hurt I think
Brah did Vick slam Ray Lewis Vick was a animal
With all those turnovers and was still able to put up 24 pts on probably the number 1 defense at the time. It’s crazy what this team could have been.
So wish they would bring bring cheetah Vick back to show what it is at qb
Most of these players are retired close to 😢
Bernard Pollard was a menace this game
Shady with the greatest ankles in nfl history
Tucker is such a beast of a kicker. Even after all these years. Should be a HOFer
I bet Flacco didn't imagine in this point of his life playing the eagles that he would be playing for us now 😂 and trust I'm not too thrilled about it.Never been a Flacco fan never will.He will be a good backup backup tho I'm fine wit that.
Yo I remember we (Eagles) had a stat or record or something cause we won the first 2 games by 1 point while Turing over the ball like 3 or 4 times in each game lol
Heck of a game.
After watching these old games, the Horse-collar penalty was desperately needed *DECADES AGO!* I’m glad the game has implemented that at all levels.
So many pro bowlers and all-pros! Some Hall of Famers to boot!
Vick was that bul !
The fourth year in a row that The Eagles played the eventual Super Bowl Champion in their home opener. 09- Saints, 10-Packers, 11- Giants and 12- Ravens
i swear crowds back in the day used to be die hards now the atmosphere even before covid is just dull
Half of the hits in this video, would be illegal in today’s game smhh.
5:18 talk about throwing a LINE! A thing of beauty!
4:32 Love deSean 1st down point 🫱 😂
This was crazy
Probably the 2 best theme at the time
Hey NFL throwback, whenever you get the chance sometime next week, can you please upload Giants at Eagles 2013? I know it's not too special, but I would really like to see it, especially since I can't find it anywhere else in the internet.
I see that you gave my comment a heart. I really appreciate that. Here's a video of what I am talking about. ruclips.net/video/hy8SAJh6fiw/видео.html
One of the best parts is the no call at 2:50💯 today 20 flags would have been thrown
Damn @10:33 crazy throw and catch!!!!!! Wowwwwwwww Such a tight window!
Ed reed redeemed himself next play tho!! Damn so many legends
This season B-More was a power house they had Jones, Reed, Lewis, a Flacco on fire, Rice and Pitta....
That was a good game
I love the chippiness
So looking at the posts this year I’ve seen all teams that have won in the throwback so far won that Sunday. 🤔🤔definitely hope not this time. Glad you posted another Raven game to bad it’s another L. I’ll save it though just because it’s the Ravens. Thanks
Ertz is a great TE. But imho Celek in his prime was much much better top 5 TE of all times for me because the guy blocked and got a lot of yac.
Brent Celek was never a top 5 TE
