The Steelers/Ravens rivalry was so fun in the late 2000’s/early 2010s. I always loved tight defensive games with high level play on both sides
Some of the hardest hitting games in nfl history
@@colinhawkins4656 facts
It's good now too, i'm excited for this week.

Ill never forget this game...i miss these flacco/ben ray lewis/polomalu matches so much...it was thr golden years of ravens football!
Ravens and Steelers rivalry are always one of the greatest in history
I know! So psyched for next week's game! 6-0 Pittsburgh at 5-1 Baltimore!
No the greatest rivalry in NFL history
@War Productions relax and enjoy being undefeated for 3 more days you bum

One my favorite rivalries with Ray Lewis, James Harrison, Ed Reed and Troy Polamalu🏈💯🔥
@@QuiltHoncho Someone is upset
My favorite rivalry was Ray Rice and his wife's face
@@QuiltHoncho Ray Lewis is the best linebacker of all time. And a top five defender of all time
@@QuiltHoncho cope haha
Can you imagine Harrison if the Ravens didn’t cut him.......with the defense we had.....
Like every year, the two meet again to gain an edge in the division. 18 years running and these two can never outduel the other without playoff implications.
As a Ravens fan, I still get nervous even when watching the highlights of old games between the Ravens and the Steelers
Me too
As a Steelers fan, same. Ray Lewis and E D REED were terrifying.
@@mattymack894 And Troy Polamalu was Joe Flacco’s lifetime bully on the field
@@Marcelo-jw8pf lol true.
Same haha
Oh damn. This is when Torrey Smith catches the game winning td, isn't it?
17:46 damn it
Tell me why I got mad like I was watching it live 9 years ago 😂
That was a Push on Torrey total Bs
@@camdenmacek43 me too I'm yelling at the tv and its 5:30am
The first touchdown pass he dropped luckily he had a chance to redeem himself
As a Ravens fan, this is my personal favorite game from the rivalry. Not only because it was the first time we swept Pittsburgh under Harbaugh and I got bragging rights over a friend of mine at the time.
But to me, this was the moment we got over the hump and broke through. Even though we would win the Super Bowl the next season.
It took an act of God for em not to go to the super bowl that year
Agreed 1000% i believe this was the first time Flacco beat Ben on the road? It was a huge moment in the rivalry for the Ravens.
In 2015 , our 5 & 11 injury riddled team's only bright spot was sweeping Pittsburgh, accounting for 40% of our season's wins ! 😂
It was perfect in that no matter how bad our season looked, no one from Pittsburgh could say shlt ! 🤣
Unfortunately it was also a year I thought the team would win a superbowl.
So I made a $1,000 futures bet when the odds were at 30 to 1
So sweeping Pittsburgh was a small bright spot on the season from hell !
Man these 2 used to go at it in the 2000's & early 2010's
Short hiatus and they're gonna be going at again
Name something better that watching ravens vs Steelers at its peak in the late 2000s and early 2010s
@Ryan Irwin- Diehl especially the 3 times they played in 2008

I always noticed this matchup gets the Sunday Night Football slot.
Its deserved too
Also, shout out to a fellow Houston sports fan
As it should
And still does to this day
0:37 NFL could see the future they knew what Ray Rice’s future profession would be
They liked it, lmao savage asf
LMFAOOO
That game was crucial for the Steelers season. Because they were swept by Ravens, they finished second in AFC North after both teams finished 12-4 (Baltimore won the tiebreaker head-to-head). Therefore Pittsburgh was forced to play at Wild Card Round at Denver. And then Tim Tebow and Demaryius Thomas showed up, but that's a story for another NFL Throwback episode.
Yes sir
Absolutely nothing better than watching Ravens-Steelers games during the late 2000s/early 2010s. Just two great teams going at it with everything they got. Best rivalry in the NFL.
Growing up this was my absolute favorite matchup to watch. Steelers fan, but mad respect to these Ravens teams. This game was always an all out war.
Billy Cundiff... that name makes every Raven’s fan shutter.
Till this very day my blood boils 😂 I saw him in the vid and instantly got pissed
I got goosebumps watching this all over again. If I remember correctly there was a lot of chatter about how the Flacco/Harbaugh Ravens couldn't win in Pittsburgh the previous three years when Ben was playing. This night got rid of that criticism. Ed Reed throwing his hands up in the air is an image that sticks with me. Loved this rivalry, and it looks like it's heating up against this weekend.
As a Steelers fan that Joe Flacco throw to Tory Smith was the most demoralizing moment I have ever experienced. Just seeing that ball float to a wide open Smith with no time left killed me , this game was the definition of the Steelers Ravens rivalry as the one loss felt like two.
Miss these Steelers throwbacks too, end of an era too because this was the last Steelers Ravens game with both Hines Ward and Ray Lewis
Loved these games. Defenses were amazing
Torrey smith was electric in Baltimore, too bad he never had great success afterwards
He is who Darius Heyward bey should of been
At least he won another ring with the Eagles, great player
Niners fan here. I grew up in a family of Cowboys & Steelers. I remember being just a kid watching this rivalry clash & you would always be in for a good game every time
I love watching these two teams play.
I remember this Game thoroughly!!
I was running up & down the steps screaming We Won...We Won!!
I adore Steelers/Ravens matchups!
Flacco is so disrespected, Dude is clutch as hell. One of the most clutch drives ever
This is the 4TH Ravens-Steelers highlights the Throwback has ever uploaded.
It seems some guy in the Throwback is fun of Ravens or Steelers...
Haha they play some really good games!

Remember this game like it was yesterday. Torrey Smith was a rookie that year and had his issues with drops. Was so happy for him to come back at that last drive and catch that Game-winner from Flacco
Can’t wait for next week I hope we get a great matchup between both these teams
Me too ravens all day
Aaron cook Steelers all day
I vividly remember watching this, one of my all time favorite games for sure!
I remember watching this game live 11 years ago. When Flacco threw that last second touchdown I screamed "YES" at the top of my lungs. I'll never forget that moment.
Ok but can we take a second and just admire James Harrison’s dominance... dude was in the backfield every play
And to think, the Ravens cut him......smh
the height of this rivalry man every game used to be close and was always back and forth
War damn eagle
As a ravens fan I wish we could go back to this era fr even tho we got Lamar the ravens from 2008-2012 was the best to me😭
Ravens vs Steelers game is always full of hard hits.
Being in the field during a ravens Steelers game in late 2000s and early 2010s there’s gotta be scary there’s so many legend on that field
Sunday’s matchup will be a rebirth of this rivalry; can’t wait!
This game is interesting because that week John Harbaugh decided to play Renegade at practice all week. That was an advantage because when it was played for real we never quit nor felt sick.
Thanks I'm a big Steelers fan an to see this game makes me smile :) (even though we didn't win)
So many great games between these two in the early 2010s when there where at there Peak🔥🔥
The 2009 Rodgers big Ben matchup was the best big Ben performance besides 08 super bowl
Congrats on 400k ♡♡♡
Thanks!
A Raven fan here, and this rivalry is something not seen in any other sport when you look at the margin of victory/defeat going back many seasons..I don't have the exact figure but it's an astonishing 3 pts or less average, like I said going back many seasons. It doesn't matter what each other's records are, how much better one team is on paper, IT ALWAYS COMES DOWN TO THE WIRE..simply incredible
This was one of the games that stuck with me the most as a Ravens fan
My favorite part of this game is 12:47 , when Foote and Harrison jump in and rip the Ravens player completely out of the way. AND Harrison made the sack and fumble! THAT is the spirit to win!!
I miss these throwbacks
Steelers WR core was insane cotchery, ward, brown, Wallace the year before Randle El and Holmes, Nate Washington. Crazy talent
One thing we all know would happen in this Ravens/Steelers rivalry was a Joe Flacco sack/fumble. I swear this happened at least once per game, and at the WORST times too.
Torrey Smith was so underrated.
I enjoy watching BAL & PIT play each other
These games was so lit Ravens fan here
Greatest recent rivalry IMO
All these hits 😮💨😩🙌🏿🙌🏿
Outside of the Superbowl run, this was Flacco's finest moment.
0:01 Terrible towels twirling haha
I JUST LOVE THIS RIVALRY MAN. As a lifetime Ravens fan I hate/RESPECT the Steelers. Gonna miss Ben now that he’s gone too.
Big Ben the most underrated Quarterback of all time.🏈
4:08 real football right there
The iron bowl of the NFL!
I love these rivalry games and I'm a NY Giants fan
DAMN I miss those ol' game intros. All rock! So epic!
#TITANUP 😂🗡🛡
NFL throwback, congratulations on reaching 400k subs!!👍
Thank you!
man these late 00s early 10s ravens steelers games were different.
I'm kind of new to football, this last super bowl really got me into it. So whenever I'm watching this type of old videos and see the bengals #1 on the conference, I can't help but laugh
Dennis Pitta had magnets in his hands and you can’t convince me otherwise
Always one of the meanest games of the year
Damn!! Love those Steelers uniforms
Its unbelievable how many people are trying to hold Harrison and he still gets to the qb!
THANK YOU SO MUCH, I have been waiting for u to post this one
Imagine Lamar Jackson with this team
But Flacco was good with them tho
Those Yellow Helmets are 🔥. NFL should repeal the 1 helmet rule
I miss this football
Rod Woodson said it best ravens are molded after Pittsburgh just different colors
Yo, Jericho Cotchery was a beast on the Steelers. Totally forgot ab him. STEELERNATION 🔥🐐
Former jets legend lmao

This rivalry has so many good ass dog fights, every play somebody getting they head cracked. #BigBoyFootball
People forget how much of a blue-collar, monster of a receiver Anquan Boldin was
LOVE IT!!!!!
This game made me a Raven's fan. Nobody covered Big Ben like Ray Lewis. Polamalu was the BANE of Flacco's existence. Damn good rivalry. Let's go Ravens this Sunday! Repeat Repeat!
Haloti ngata better be first ballot hall of fame, was like vince wilfork mixed with jj watt in his prime people forget how elite he was at a 3/4 defensive end and would play the middle also
2:46 watch Hines! I love itttttt boyyyyy
I hate gerogia but I respect him
I have a Ray Lewis, Troy Polamalu & an Ed Reed Jerseys 🥺🥰
Wear them with pride, hate the Steel but much respect for the man with fiery hair
It'll decide first place this weekend too. 6-0 Pitt vs 5-1 Balt.
Legit been waiting for years for this game to be posted
Looking forward to being 7-0 on Sunday!! Should be an epic game 🏈
Looking forward to shutting down the Steelers. It's gonna be a legendary showdown.
@@frostedicepharoah7723 I personally don’t think you’ll be able to shut down the Steelers, but I’m looking forward to the Game! It’ll be a good one!
Non American here, watching AB play is the thing that got me into the NFL and being a Steelers fan. Seeing the comparison of him in his prime and now is just depressing. Anyway I hope him and Bell will return someday.
Angel of death in the C gap
13:42 yessir
This is also the game where Ray Lewis ended Hines Ward career. Luv it!
14:36 AB would’ve been pissed if that happened today
He would of fought juju on the spot lmao
In my opinion better rivalry than 9ners vs cowboys can’t wait for Lamar and Ben to play next week
Joe Flacco... HOF! CPOY was the cherry on top.
I loved when the ravens and the Steelers fight and Antonio Brown is my favorite WR
I was coaching this would be played to remind them of the physicality of this rivalry!!
As a Ravens fan, this still gave me nerves and I knew what the outcome was. The most over-achieving defense we ever had.
The 2011 Steelers WR core might be the deepest in NFL history:
1. Mike Wallace
2. Antonio Brown
3. Hines Ward
4. Emmanuel Sanders
5. Jerricho Cotchery
Also, they were a weird team. The offense had decent efficiency but were 21st in points scored, possibly because they had 28 giveaways... But also because, despite the defense being 1st in yards and points allowed, PIT was medicore on 3rd down/4th down/redzone D and 32nd in takeaways!
God i miss ray and ed man😭😭😭 these moments are precious and priceless!! Thats why as a ravens fan the Steelers are the only team i respect as opponents! Our rivalry is like twin brothers who are naturally competitive.
Can't believe Cincinnati were actually good during that year
Ray Rice was trouble
I miss these days
It’s weird… nowadays I really can’t even say I HATE the ravens anymore. Especially how I did in the early 2010s. To me, I feel like the rivalry died when all of those legends from both sides retired. Was a once in a lifetime experience as a fan
why every time y'all upload a Pittsburgh vs baltimore throwback game it's always in pittsburgh?
