I love small gift projects like these. I'm going to add these to my Operation Christmas Child gift boxes. I make sewing kits for the older girls-pin cushions, needle books etc. Fun sewing!:)
Really good tutorial: clear, beautiful, with tips for a great finish... So simple an so good... And useful. Many thanks for your video 🙏😄 The cat... the king of the place 🤣🤣🤣 beautiful and cute as can be...
A friend just messaged me with a pic of one similar. I think she wants one 😃 Super easy and cute too! I hope your sweet Jax is being a good boy as always.
I have made a few of these and used a tassel made from half of a skein of embroidery thread, on a twisted cord made with a second skein of the same colour, which I also used to bind the tassel. Then I sewed on a button to wind the cord around. I sewed the tassel into the top point of the flap. I made a scissor keep from fabric covered, cardboard hexagons, and some more cord and sewed a 2" circular fabric piece, with cardboard inside to use as a pin-holder. All of these fit inside the extra pockets. I did add a small triangular pocket inside the back lining, to keep my sharp scissors centred, so they can't poke holes. You have lovely ideas, thank-you.
Hi Erica - thanks for ANOTHER GREAT VIDEO, I look forward to your weekly tutorials. By the way, the snaps are Male and Female for obvious reasons LOL - I'll leave that one for you to work out ha ha. I shall be making a few of these, I especially like the last version that has a couple of pockets. Once again, thank you for all your hard work and for sharing. Linda xx
These are adorable. Thank you for sharing all three patterns, and how easy in one template. I think the little one with the snap will be good way to keep scissors safe in a knitting project bag. As always it is nice to see your sewing buddy, Jax!
Very cute project. New to your channel love all your videos ,love how you get right to the point and no extra talking about stuff that doesn’t relate to videos
Erica, thank you for this easy to follow tutorial and your generosity in sharing the pattern with us. These scissor pouches would definitely make great gifts. I look forward to making them.
Love these. I use small emboidery scissors like your stork scissors. I put a scissor in each project bag. Could you do one of these for scissor and with a pocket behind to either a pockei to slide needles or needle minder with the closing top . Happy to see you doing well!
Thank you Erica for your great video's I have made your sewing machine mat I am really pleased with it I am going to make these scissor holder's too , greetings from Queensland Australia xxx
Hello from the UK erica. Lovely scissor keepers, best I have found. So neat and tidy. Unfortunately I cant download the pdf pattern. Have been to your website but no pattern there either. All other patterns I find use an a4 sheet of paper, folded and then fold the keeper the same. However paper folds nice and crisp, good fabric, double thick with interfacing, does not do good origami. Do you still have the pdf on file? Please???
Ty for this tutorial but when I click the link for the free PDF template it won't open to find the download...if doesn't do anything....I've tried several times to get the template....don't usually have any issues....could you pls let me know where else I could get the template so I can download.,..I did go to your website and tried there but wouldn't download but I saw on website I wasn't the only one who couldn't get it...tysm....I can't wait to make these....love your videos and I look forward to seeing them.,..tks
