Thank you for sharing! I absolutely love your glow and spirit! Every time I see that you upload a new video, I get so happy! Your presence alone will uplift anyone. You shine so bright. God bless you and your family. I’m not alone with collecting rotary cutters……I have a ton as well lol.
I use just about every item you shared. FYI - I also made my own 12" square clappers. Just buy a piece of hard wood (like oak. I bought a 12" wide oak shelf) and ask the salesman to cut the wood down to size. they'll do it for free. I got 2 - 12" square pcs from one shelf for just a few bucks and it works great. I can fit several pcs under each or an entire block. Thanks for sharing!
Your suggestions are spot on! I make my own quilt labels. I incorporate a triangle in the corner of my quilt and sew it into the binding. Keep doing your videos, love them! 🩷
I got your quilt planner and am going to be using it on my iPad to track my quilting, especially since I am new to quilting and want to make sure I keep track of everything. Thanks so much for your videos. ❤
Yep, the Juki is one amazing machine, I had the one without speed control, it broke and parts were not available, I was upset until I updated with speed control. I got used to the first machine and didn't really need to slow down. Rulers do get pricey. Don't have the Tula scissors, but I did buy a pair of 10" ginger dressmaker shears and they are absolutely amazing, for serious cutting of fabrics, they are heavy but if you want "over the top" go for them! I also got a pair of Guggenheim scissors that I really like, there were so great prices online but I had already paid $80 for first pair, very excellent quality. Alpha bitties are a real help! think FQS came out with number-bitties! Your channel is so inspiring and entertaining!
The lettering A.B. C etc. idea to keep same size quilt pieces together. Gosh that would be so helpful on this log cabin quilt I am making. Good video, Thanks,G
I just recently bought a bobbin boat and some of the pegs to match bobbins to thread when I put the thread back up on the rack. I love it, it's so much easier than opening a bobbin box and the boat keeps the thread on the spool.
Thank you for your review of items. I have alot of the same notions so i know i am buying the right stuff. I live in Canada so importing from the US is expensive so it is good to have advice. Thanks again.
Hi Erica! Another great video! I am a HUGE fan of the Oliso irons and clappers. My husband has made me several clappers and they are a game changer. Also, the cluck cluck tape; worth its weight in gold! Thanks for sharing and giving us a glimpse into your sewing room!
I got into quilting when I rediscovered your channel last year (found you originally with homeschooling videos years and years ago but no longer homeschool). Have gotten everything you recommend including your planner, which I love. Thanks for great videos!
Thank you for sharing. I am new to sewing and it is so helpful to know what supplies seasoned crafters like yourself use. I love your pumpkins and trucks of the month. Thank you again.
Loved this video! It was very helpful for me as I am a beginner. I’ve been overwhelmed by what’s available and what I actually need. Thank you for this information! 😊
Hi Erica, I retired and have watched many videos this past year to start my sewing room. I have fallen in love with you and sewing. I watch you daily . I bought the Big mat and LOVE it. Also, I bought cheep rulers and now I realize I need the creative rulers. So buying them today. Thanks for your great guidance.
Such an informative video thank you for sharing this, thank you for your honesty about each product as a beginner it can become overwhelming with which items are needed which ones are “nice to have”
Thank you for sharing all of these wonderful things. T think I just might need some of these. I do have some of them but you put a bug in me for getting more. Great tutorial, thank you so much.
Loved your comments on the tools. I have a granddaughter who sews and designs costumes and I am thinking of doings a Christmas stocking of sewing tools for her. The rulers and scissors and many thing will fit in her sewing basket. So many good ideas for her and me I am a quilter and have most of everything you showed, but will print the the planner for both of us. Thanks you for you energy and joy you put into you channel. I have never written to you before but watched many times.
Erica, another wonderful and informative video. I like the description and suggestions for using your planner. So many great tools for gift giving ideas Thank you!
I LOVE my Gingher Scissors so much! All of mine are silver and I have the 8-inch, 7.5-inch pinking, 5-inch, the Duckbill for machine embroidery, and 3.5-inch embroidery. My 8-inch dressmakers are at least 35 years old. I have 10-in dressmakers that I don't use because they were my grandmother's and are super heavy. I love my Oilso Iron (Pink) I never thought about having a non-steam iron and a separate steam iron. I am guilty of leaving water in the tank. I always take a picture of my finished project with all info on the materials used. Thanks, Erica, as always wonderful video!
I also love the Omnigrid scissors from FQS. I use Lori Holt rubber tips on mine to make sure I don’t have any accidents with them. You’re right, they are very sharp... I use spreadsheets for documenting my projects, and also keep track of what I stitch daily in the Book of Days planner… Nice update!
I have your machine also! I sew all my squares. I quilt on a Bernina with the special foot for rulers. I use every thing else. I bout two lefty rulers. The others I had to turn them over, more difficult for lefty’s. Thank you!!
Hi Erica! I love all your suggestions. I will definitely be trying some them. I think your project planner will be my first. I’ve been looking for something like this for a while . I like that I can track of all my crafts in one place! Mary Ellen’s best press will be added next timeI order on line. Thanks for sharing!!
Love this video! I've learned alot watching your videos and have purchased several of these tools because I've seen yours. The irons, the clappers, the blessed diagonal tape, etc. Wish you would have a contest for someone to come spend a day at your house for a sewing party!
I love that you did this video.. I use a lot of the same things. But you always give me new ideas. I love all of you videos and vlogmas also!! I don’t use a planner but I think that is a great idea. I always take pictures of my projects.
Always enjoy seeing the things others use in crafting. You mentioned sometimes taking photos of projects and printing for the planner. I use a small Canon Ivy mini printer. It prints small approximately 2 x 3 inch photos as stickers right from your phone or tablet. I believe Polaroid has a similar product. I got mine on Amazon.
Thank you for sharing! I bought a Juki about 5 or so years ago like yours (I think 1 step up). It is the best machine I have ever used. I saw your video about it and went for it and just love it so much!!
So many great tools/supplies! I have many of the same ones. I have a juki 2010 that I got (I think off Amazon) about 4 years ago but I think they were having a sale and I got mine for $100 less than they were at the time. I love mine too. I keep my speed on halfway because it SEWS!! I can't really control that speed like some people. It's not a race (for me) and I'm satisfied with that speed.
Hey Erica! 😊 I JUST got my first clapper. I was of the same mind that you were..what the heck could be a reason to have one?! But boy do I love mine!!!! 🎉
Thanks for all the great info. I love the Cluck Cluck Sew tape as well. No more drawing lines! Funny, I said the same things about the "blocks of wood". Who doesn't love Wonder Clips, especially for those of us with cat supervisors. And your blooper answers my question about the Lori Holt jars being breakable or not. haha
I enjoyed seeing all that you have and have several things on my wish list that I don’t have.-the rose gold pin bowl and would love to order some labels and a quilt tee from sweet water(i saw this in one of your other videos). So much cuteness thanks for sharing
Love my Creative Grids rulers. 6.5x24 is my favorite too. I do love my Quilter’s Select rulers too. My other favorite trimming rulers are the Bloc Loc set.
Erica thanks so much! I always trust your reviews, I love that you show how you use them. Hardly anybody actually shows how things work. I have never seen anyone who actually described how to use a clapper and why. So kudos to you chickadee!!!! Thank you again and I can’t wait until your next video! Oh and I love your bloopers! It makes me so happy that I am not the only one who drops alphabitties everywhere. I started using them because of one of your videos and I LOVE them! They keep me so organized. I usually cut a quilt after I start sewing a quilt top so it will be ready to go, especially like now when I am trying to get all the things done for Christmas gifts. So I use ziploc bags and include in the bag a piece of paper with size of piece, color if I need to, what step in the pattern etc. and what pattern it goes with. Then I put the corresponding alphabittie for that piece goes in the bag also. When I am ready to sew I can just take a and sew to b or however the pattern says and pat myself on the back! Haha!
OK , so funny!!! I use all these products!!! I love creative grids rulers and have most of them. Love the clappers! Love the alphabet letters and use them with the clips. I cut out the Vintage Christmas Truck quilt today and used all my letters, so I need to order another set and numbers. Mary Ellens is awesome!!! I buy it by the gallon and have several spray bottles I keep filled. LOVE my Juki 2000QI , so I really enjoyed your favorite things. I think the only thing I don't have are the labels.
Wow !!! What a wonderful video!!!! I don't quilt but I found your suggestions very enlightening !! There are several items that I will be purchasing!!! Thank you for a very informative video!!!
We share a love of favorite things. Mine match up almost exactly to yours. I would add a small trash bin that I keep by my sewing machine. I made it and it’s one of my favorite, little things because I can pitch all the little scraps that I’m not keeping like sew and flipped corners right in the bin next to my machine.
Erica, I bought the same Juki tl2000q a few years ago. It makes sewing such a wonderful pleasure. Sometimes when I am sewing I will just yell out. “I love this machine”. I really like how well thought out the features are. It makes it so easy to sew. Best Wishes for a wonderfulThanksgiving!
You can get magnetic bowls for cheap at hardware/home improvement stores, too. (Only in silver.) Lowe’s also recently had 2-packs of square, silicone, collapsible bowls with magnetic bottoms in their holiday stuff. (Red with black.) I collapse one side only and keep it facing me on the surface of my sewing machine.
I love your bloopers 😂. I usually take pictures and file the picture in a folder labeled quilt projects. I’ve gifted many baby quilts and probably should have kept some kind of record. Thank you for your videos, I have a lot of the items you mentioned because of your tutorials.
I agree with everything you use ! I switched to magic pins because my dexterity isn’t what it used to be and I find them easier to grip- I use the extra fine. Hi Erica! I absolutely adore watching you and your super sweet family. I get so excited when you have a new video out. All of your video are my favorite! I’m currently making your vintage tree pattern.
I love the wonder clips! Another way I use them is clipping long embroidery projects so the cloth doesnt twist as you work on it! Not an original idea of mine. This was shared by someone in my embroidery class recently.
Loved the video….Maybe someone has mentioned this already but I always use distilled water in my irons stops the spitting brown/black junk coming out of the iron.
Hi! Yes, some irons work better with distilled. Oliso recommends regular tap water, but I haven't used steam for awhile since my Oliso is so heavy it doesn't really need it :)
I watched until the end and enjoyed it all. But what about your Singer Featherweight? It's one of my favorites and I take it to our Quilts for Kids workshops all the time. It's a wonderful machine for piecing.
Sew 🧵 much fun 👏 I was making my list and found that The link on the gloves says “page not found”. Thought I should let you know. Thank you for sharing 👍👍 Stay safe healthy and happy 🧵✝️🇺🇸
I love my Juki TL 2000qi too! It would be great to see a video of the full on tune up on the Juki next time you run out of pre-wound bobbins. Thanks for your awesome videos!! ♥️

Hi pretty lady. How are you doing today??
My favorite item you showed was the iron. (I'm going downstairs now to empty the water from my iron that I used this morning!)
I really like the way you share , I really feel like you tell it like it is. Thank you
Your suggestions are spot on! I make my own quilt labels. I incorporate a triangle in the corner of my quilt and sew it into the binding. Keep doing your videos, love them! 🩷
I love that the size of the rotary blade is printed right on the rotary cutter.
I got your quilt planner and am going to be using it on my iPad to track my quilting, especially since I am new to quilting and want to make sure I keep track of everything. Thanks so much for your videos. ❤
I love all your videos, you are a ray of sunshine! Thank you for this one ❤

I like the cutting mat and diagonal sewing tape!!! 😊
Thanks for sharing! I thought the same thing about the clappers and now have 5, and LOVE how flat they leave my blocks!
Very useful video! Love your idea about the bobbin boat and cleaning your machine, I'm stealing that one!!!
I love all your favorite things. I really need a clapper and the oliso iron. I also love the 505 spray. Thankyou for a great video. Have a great day.
Thank you for your review of items. I have alot of the same notions so i know i am buying the right stuff. I live in Canada so importing from the US is expensive so it is good to have advice. Thanks again.

Great video Erica! I learned a few new important tips from you as usual! Thank you dear!!
Thank you for sharing. I am new to sewing and it is so helpful to know what supplies seasoned crafters like yourself use. I love your pumpkins and trucks of the month. Thank you again.
Love the way you present your choices for quilting, have watched you for quite some time, thank you for being there!

Love clappers…. They are a must for flat seams and helps me square up my blocks. Enjoyed your video..
Adorable nails girl!!! Appreciate your input on needs.
The clapper was a surprise for me too! It makes a world of difference in how flat my blocks are.

So much helpful information!! Thank you for sharing! Love this! 💛🌻💛
Deb Pangle
I have several of your favs and they are definitely my favs too. But I really like your planner.
I’m also an Odif spray user! Love that it doesn’t stink! I go through it since I free motion on my sit down machine!
Wow, loved your video today! The end was cute and dang, the cat! What a character he is😉

Thank you for this handy list! I need a new Oliso iron and a clapper in my life! 🤩🤩
You could make your own clapper with a good-size heavy chopping board and a drawer handle to hold it down 🤗
Wow !!! What a wonderful video!!!! I don't quilt but I found your suggestions very enlightening !! There are several items that I will be purchasing!!! Thank you for a very informative video!!!
WOW! What an awesome list! So many fun things! I do love my Oliso big and small irons for the same reasons.
I love those cleaning brushes!
I wasn’t able to find them?
We share a love of favorite things. Mine match up almost exactly to yours. I would add a small trash bin that I keep by my sewing machine. I made it and it’s one of my favorite, little things because I can pitch all the little scraps that I’m not keeping like sew and flipped corners right in the bin next to my machine.

Love your videos!!! You and I agree on the products, we have most of the same. I enjoyed watching the video. Thanks!
Great list of favorites! Many are my favorites too.
Thank you for your tutorials I love everything you showed today. But I totally crack up at the end when your bloopers are playing.
The notion I love is the quilting gloves. Before my neck and shoulders would be so sore machine quilting
I love your videos! Thanks for sharing your favourites! Also adore your bloopers at the end!!! ❤
I ❤ your outtakes!!!!
Thank you for sharing! I am slowly trying to switch rulers to Creative Grid brand - love them! Definitely getting some of the tape!
Thank you for the review of products! I need a iron all mine are needing to retire. Always enjoy your videos. Thank you!
Love your videos Erica. Thanks for adding to my shopping list!
I agree with everything you use ! I switched to magic pins because my dexterity isn’t what it used to be and I find them easier to grip- I use the extra fine. Also , the iron I switched to is a Chi - love the heat and steam ! Only at Walmart - model 13101. Excellent for the $. Thank you for sharing!
I love this video, and I started using a planner and I am thinking to get yours.. thanks ❤️
The advantage of using the same brand of thread all the time is that once you set your thread tension, it is never an issue again. Even the same weight thread from different manufacturers can require tension changes. I can get really slowed down with fiddly little changes.
Finding scissors that are sharp all the way to the tip is really difficult. I’ve had the best luck at estate sales.
Great tips-especially on the rulers, a person could go broke and still find that they don’t have the best size for their project.
Storing tools where they are convenient to you, but not too convenient for other members of your household is tricky…
Love that organizer!
Thank you for making this video. These are helpful. I use several of these items and love them. I don't have any clappers. I thought the same as you (chunk of wood)! I'm going to now give them a try.
I don’t use a planner but love the idea.
Love it..keep your stuff coming..
YOUR NAILS ARE ADORABLE! ❤❤❤
Hi Erica! I absolutely adore watching you and your super sweet family. I get so excited when you have a new video out. All of your video are my favorite! I’m currently making your vintage tree pattern.
I love all your videos!! Your very informative. I trust your opinions.❤❤❤😊😊😊
Thank you for sharing these items! You are my favorite quilter and I love all of your designs!
Always love your videos. Funny a lot of your favorite things are mine! 😂 ❤
Great video. I love my Gingher scissors. I have had them for years.
I just put Alpha Bitties and a 12.5" square ruler on my Birthday/Christmas list! Your outtakes are the best, Erica! 😆
I have been using the pressing g blocks for YEARS...they are a necessity when garmet sewing.
Thank you so much Erica!! From Chile 🇨🇱👏👏👏
I watched until the end and enjoyed it all. But what about your Singer Featherweight? It's one of my favorites and I take it to our Quilts for Kids workshops all the time. It's a wonderful machine for piecing.
Oh I forgot to include that!!
I just got that mat too, haven’t used it yet as I am moving into a new space which is under construction.
I have added a few more things that I need. I have most of your favorite already, they are my favorites as well
Sew 🧵 much fun 👏 I was making my list and found that The link on the gloves says “page not found”. Thought I should let you know. Thank you for sharing 👍👍 Stay safe healthy and happy 🧵✝️🇺🇸
Thanks, I'll get that updated amzn.to/3U2WLI5
I love my Juki TL 2000qi too! It would be great to see a video of the full on tune up on the Juki next time you run out of pre-wound bobbins. Thanks for your awesome videos!! ♥️
