Great Video.Myself being born in Canada by Scottish parents from Glasgow. Had an uncle John Carmichael ,but the strangest thing is my Mom was named Mary Brunton McQueen They were close cousins, Both of them are long gone now but Im sure this would have given my mum a laugh.Love Scotland and one day I shall visit.
Very nice 👌 explore, the inside the next ten years will be down but the outside has held up pretty good , it will last a long time. Thanks for your time Wallace. It was awesome!
Still an magnificent looking house on the outside, a shame it's dangerous on the inside to walk around. Thank you both for tour, and glade you're all safely got out.
Rachael Conway it's classic Scottish baronial architecture of this time period in the 16th Century the style draws on the features of Medieval castles, tower houses and the French Renaissance châteaux. Thanks Rachael
Thanks for the explore. Closeups are not always the way to go. Please consider a wide angle lens and some powerful lighting. I am sure you are, at times, trying to create a feeling for the explore using less lighting but after that please light it up so we can see what you see. Thank yuo for the risks you take to show us these abandoned.treasures. Thanks again. Be safe.
OMG, Can't believe how bad this place has got. There's a few videos of this over the last few years and it's now on the verge of collapse. You were very brave to go in. It's Eastend House, near biggar. Amazing place. The owner is meant to be bit of an ass. Such a shame it's been left to rot.
She definitely is she's usually the first going in and can scare me sometimes, but she knows her limits and it's great to share hobbies, I'm glad she enjoys what I do and gets involved I'm a lucky guy. Thanks Jacky ATB
Loved, this wonderful video. The age of this massive castle was quite obvious inside and out. Although, you speak so soft it is very difficult to hear your voice on my cell phone during the tour. Still a great tour. Thank you for sharing!!! :)
So sad to see this what must have been a beauty in its day. Love the so many rooms, so many doors leading from one room to another. Love all the windows w shutters. Just love it, but again, sad.
Thanks for your exploration. Sad to see the decay, but kind of you to take the time to document it. I imagine the still images would be quite powerful. I'd have to agree with the folks who gave the thumbs down to the music. It cheapens the experience and gives it a low budget paranormal element. (Minor quibble). Cheers Geoffrey
This video has got to be your best one. The wood work in there is just awsome. Too bad the structure has rotted away. I did like the sound track you used. Really sounded creepy. Great job.
Edward Kellogg thanks again, glad you enjoyed it was a great place to explore and was glad we managed to get inside to see the interior, it must of been beautiful in its day sad to see it's in such a bad way today. Since the video I've been informed on my social media that someone has spoke to the son of the owner and it would take approximately £6million to restore and so why it's been left 👎🏻
Look at that Range it’s fab.Solid stone stairs. At one time those windows would have been leaded.Wow that’s a staircase and half.1930/40 light switches.
What a stunning Georgian building. Such a shame it's been abandoned! Demi said she could imagine when they used to play the piano there, she said it would have been grand. 🎹🎶 Love the staircase, funny about the light still hanging in the room with no ceiling 😂 grate video Ross! 👍Had a couple of problems with the volume.
Charlene Wallis definitely it's a shame it's been stripped bare, it didn't have one key even on it, would of been a grand place in its day with all the wood interior but may of been part of its reason for being so expensive for the repair of the dry rot, since posting the video I've been informed from someone that's spoke to the owners son it will cost £6 Million to restore 😳
So this property had two staircases.Beautiful stone staircase.Has beautiful Victorian shutters. These were part of a much later modernisation. The upper floors the stairs would have been wood ground floor most likely York stone.
Beautiful place... I had trouble hearing u.. I didn't know if you were purposely keeping your voice low as to avoid detection... But beautiful place.. I hope someone will restore it...
If I didn't make a mistake by my hearing, you told us the castle was abandoned in 1991, was it? Well, I don't think so, mate. It sure had been abandoned for decades. Firstly, I would like to ask you. Is there any world war in Scotland during the time? I think it is probably abandoned because of the war. Thank you so much for sharing I enjoyed it very much
Once the roof goes without being repaired quickly enough thats it, the repair bill will sky rocket the longer it is left. The lime mortar in the stone work will start to saturate and wash out making the walls more fragile and unstable although the stone work can still stand for a long time. Old houses did not have pressure treated timber like modern builds so they will rot like mad once enough moisture gets in, they eventually rot anyway. Scotlands windy and wet climate is actually quite brutal on building materials, the wind and rain erodes bare brick, sand and lime stone if not maintaned. That house is rotting from the outside and inside, best way to fix that place is get the roof repaired then gut the inside and renovate from there. Or douse it in petrol and start again. Fix the roof, seal of windows and point the masonry to prevent damp ingress and it could be salvaged, long tedious and expensive process.
Needs internally stripping of the wooden floors..and some heavy restoration..which will be expensive. That was one dodgy place to be in..even the slightest vibration could caused a collapse .
Just wondering..... Where the beautiful main staircase is, would that area be the old medieval keep? Love the windows and stone work. Nice to see nature taking back. Sad.
There is a wealth of history in that house.. I would love to hear more history please. Any chance of that? Otherwise it's just old bones in abandoned graves with unreadable headstones. Music appropriately spooky. But can't understand what you're saying most of the time Thanks for the effort but can't give thumbs up sorry
Big, big project, but if those rock walls will stay up, (I'd reinforce the rock- vertical I beam, rebar and mortar, interior, some, same, buttressing outside. The interior is mortar and lathe, anyway, and one could opt for wood over the top, (I like walnut, panelling and floors,) etc). Well, if the rock can be kept intact, completely empty the interior (save some nice stuff, too, but roof down to the basement, clean it out! Get ready for top to bottom, -new. I like these videos because they inspire imagination and appreciation of people and architecture. Do-able, though, maybe. Beautiful, huh?tw
@@carlaflynn3590 Sorry. I dont remember. It will be somewhere on You Tube I expect. I think it was from about two years ago & it was a lot more intact. Hope you find it. All the best.
First time viewer. Really nice house. I would like to see more of the rooms with better light and less of you and the lady. You kept yourself in the viewfinder a bit too often.
You need to work on your camera skills. Show what a whole room looks like. I was kinda disappointed I couldn’t see more. But thanks for what I did see.
yes I think exactly the same , he talks too much and photograph himself too much , I saw another video of this house which is much better, but can't find it anymore !
I don't get why people build these big buildings without thinking about their sustainability and maintenance 100 years down the line. I don't understand because I live in a small hut on an island and talk to a coconut called Nene all day.
You need to speak more loudly and cut out the background music and special effects, it overpowers your narration. When you talked to us at the beginning, and then decided to look the other way, we couldn't hear half of what you were telling us, and made it frustrating to your viewers. You also mumble quite a bit and we can't make out what you are saying. It was a beautiful place and you do nice filming, but the quality of the film's audio level needs to be considered. Look forward to seeing other lovely places such as this!

Ross Wallace Adventuresgo.
Thankyou for sharing. Very sad to see the further deterioration in the last few years.
In Scotland Ireland and. UK areas?
Not so good video hate the creapy music it's awful
Yet another lovely and historical building left to rot and decay ??how many more our we going to lose ? Hope it's saved .
I like how you move slowly and show outside as well great job
This house was someone’s dream once! Now their lives are over. How was it allowed to decay to this point?
They need to salvage some of those wall panels, grates, window frames, fixtures, stair railing.....
Why do people that place just go like this. Sell it and have someone restore it. This is so sad and so much history.
You can almost hear the home crying out to be saved. That is such a huge shame.
Beautiful but so sad
I stayed on that Estate in Scotland for a couple of months a few years ago. It is a beautiful place! The old lake/pond is awesome!
How beautiful and clear you speak. You make a good narrator
From America great stuff. Wow really old house. Thanks for sharing.
If I had the money, I would restore that place! It's beautiful!!!

Very cool place. I want the blue front door. It would have been something when it was first built with all the furniture. Thanks.💖🇺🇸
Aloha MD absolutely, I liked the door my favourite colour 👌🏻
I agree on the spooky music. Not really needed because your video is amazing!!
Much better without the music. Otherwise we'll done.
Great video again here Ross, What an place it has a castle look to it. thanks for sharing

" if I had a million dollars" or 3 or 5 million this could be my dream home....thanks for sharing...great video
If you had between 3 and 5 million you could buy a beautiful NEW HOUSE OR CASTLE!!
What a beautiful old home. If I were a rich woman I would buy it & make it the home it was suppose to be.
Thanks for the explore. Closeups are not always the way to go. Please consider a wide angle lens and some powerful lighting. What a beautiful house this must have been in its day. So sad to see it decaying away.
Your videography and your photography is supreme! Absolutely gorgeous video and besides a lot of dust I’m sure I saw a few spirit orbs!♥️✨👍🏻

Interesting video. The sound effects are perfect. Well done.
it's a shame the family did nothing before the place was beyond saving now a beauty mansion is lost
So sad to see this what must have been a beauty in its day. Love the so many rooms, so many doors leading from one room to another. Love all the windows w shutters. Just love it, but again, sad.
Thanks for filming your adventure. I really enjoyed this. Also..for having class and dignity. I like your nice low key approach..😄

WHAT'S WITH THE CREEPY MUSIC?...DOES NOT ADD TO THE VIDEO...IF ANYTHING, DETRACTS FROM IT...SORRY...;)
So sad! Was once a beautiful home!♥️
such a shame to see these lovely old buildings just falling apart...
Awesome place. Would like to have seen it about 200 years ago.
Very amazing video well done
rburnswallace2226 rburnswallace2226 thanks man Wallace clan ✊
Ross Wallace Adventures you are most welcome
i enjoyed this one what an increadable place, shame it been left to rot..
Simon Richmond thanks Simon
There was some kind of TV crew in the way when I visited this place. It's really cool to see the inside at last. Has to be my favorite so far!
So this property had two staircases.Beautiful stone staircase.Has beautiful Victorian shutters. These were part of a much later modernisation. The upper floors the stairs would have been wood ground floor most likely York stone.
i usually enjoy videos like this. i was very interested. however, i couldn't watch. the music was too loud. you speak too softly. thanks anyway!
Didn't care for any of the added audio. Say "cheese" please
That's a nice place and I love the artchitecture!
Wow what a cool house! Wish we had buildings like this in 🇨🇦!
Beautiful place... I had trouble hearing u.. I didn't know if you were purposely keeping your voice low as to avoid detection... But beautiful place.. I hope someone will restore it...
Brilliant find well done one of my favourites
I just don't understand why these historical sites being taken care of... Restore them for heavens sakes.
Love the front door! Love the home!
Great stuff !

What a stunning place mate, well done, great find and awesome video as always
Lost With Lou thanks Lou you need to get your self up this way dude loads more like this 👌🏻
Good job filming though! 😀
Needs internally stripping of the wooden floors..and some heavy restoration..which will be expensive.
That was one dodgy place to be in..even the slightest vibration could caused a collapse .
It will always have dry rot, left to the elements and abandoned. What a sin and a shame.
Anyone know what house this was?
the blue door is cool
Excellent.
Hello.. were did you fund this home?
Wow that place looked super dangerous!!
So sad to see it in such a sad state

I’d hope your right and it can be, it’s a shame it’s left like this. Hopefully someone with your mindset and with the £££’s saves it.
@@RossWallaceAdventures Anyone got Six Million +?
Like to see a whole room and can drop the guys. Otherwise great. Thanks
Dry rot is a fearful thing. That place has deteriorated since the last video I saw. Sad.
Hi Sarah Strong, who did the other video you watched of it, do you remember? Would love to have seen it in better days.
@@carlaflynn3590 Sorry. I dont remember. It will be somewhere on You Tube I expect. I think it was from about two years ago & it was a lot more intact. Hope you find it. All the best.
i like the decay!! but at the same time i feel like it should be renovated!!
Thios is very sad. Why are these p[laces abandoned? Surely there is someone out there who would dearly love to fix this up.
ONE OF THOSE PLAQUES ON THE OUTSIDE WALL WAS STRAIGHT OUT OF BIBLICAL SCRIPTURE...A BEAUTIFUL VERSE...;)
Loved this house but the audio is horrible. Can hardly hear what is being said.
First time viewer. Really nice house. I would like to see more of the rooms with better light and less of you and the lady. You kept yourself in the viewfinder a bit too often.
Que maravilhosa
Deveriam reformar
É lindo!😃
Truly disgraceful! 😭 To survive hundreds of years! Now left to rot. In a century where we have so many resources to restore it 😠
Going back to the sixteenthcentury, this is an archeological site,s not merely a hostirical site.
If I had the money I would buy i and restore it this instance. What a shame!
You need to work on your camera skills. Show what a whole room looks like. I was kinda disappointed I couldn’t see more. But thanks for what I did see.
CHARLIEM1010 agreed!
Would like to see more scans of each room, and less of the explorer. No offense, it's hard to picture rooms.
yes I think exactly the same , he talks too much and photograph himself too much , I saw another video of this house which is much better, but can't find it anymore !
Great video, I had to turn the volume down, but then I couldnt hear you. Lose the music please..
Good vid, did not need the sound effects, though, honest.

brighter lights would be nice 😎
killerorca1 not long bought a olight, will be lit better in future videos
Have u looked in Tartarian architecture interesting stuff 👍
Seems like such a shame that this piece of history has gone to ruin. Would have loved to see it in its prime, bustling with activity.
Shame you could only show a small part of this. The turrets were not accessible. And would have loved to see my of the ceilings.shame
House or castle?
There is a camera 1.35 up side the blue door
OH MY GOODNESS!!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰
