This time we’re exploring a true hidden gem. In the middle of the woods, we discovered this former manor. You need to look twice to notice signs that this place is truly abandoned. This half-timbered building was constructed over one hundred years ago. Even though most of the interior furnishing has been removed by now, it was all the architectural details which fascinated us in particular. And there are no traces of vandalism at all which delighted us even more. Have you ever wanted to see a hauntingly beautiful abandoned castle? Well, here you go!

One of our viewers told us about this abandoned manor. It’s so cool to see how the community is thriving! Thanks for all your likes, your messages and for being part of our project BWT!
Broken Window Theory your videos are amazing. Keep it up!!
The basement art is so unique. Really makes you wonder
Yes, it's some kind of pacifistic and anti-war art.
You are very nice and beautiful !!!! 😎😋😍☺️💞
Broken Window Theory im u fans.. I hope someday you can come to my country. I come from Indonesia
What i like best about this channel is how they focus on the actual location and not on taking rolling selfies
It is always so heartbreaking to see such fantastic buildings like this left to rot.
Your story telling technique is fabulous! Such beautiful estates and mansions just left to decay us so sad. The architecture is a work of art! I love to see them and imagine what they used to be.
I can only imagine how exquisite this house was! All those rich, gorgeous details. I think it's still beautiful. Great find
The detail on the stair bannister and mouldings were simply beautiful. True craftsmanship is (has) becoming a thing of the past. So much beauty and skill is rotting away in these grand old places.
I find it heartbreaking that these incredible mansions of history are left to decay. Thank you for showing us what remains. I would LOVE to explore with you. You have a wonderful voice and the history that you tell adds so much to your videos. Keep up your excellent work......
ok, I saw your latest and now this one.. I'm sold.. I like this channel.. This is one place I could see myself buying to renovate.. But it is to far away and i am getting to old to travel far any more... it would be a lovely place to live for awhile... Bring it back to it's old glory.. live in it for a bit then give it over to a park for people to enjoy... to many places left to find and fix and I am running out of time... oh well.. some one has to pick up the slack don't they? How can we let things like this die...
tinkmarshino may i ask where you live?
I wish i could do the same i am younger would love to do this maybe you could show me how?
@Yes No Well son, I am rich enough to own a couple of pistols and have taught small arms tactics in the corp for years so I say.. come on over and take what you can.. if you dare
@Yes No Thanks for the schooling ma'am.. even at 70 I still open my mouth when I should keep it shut! Have a great year.
Thanks! I love to watch same videos over and over again!
Your respectfulness, fine sense of noticing small details , of beauty, imaginations, gentle heart's narratives and more over your fine sense of selecting great classical background musics! You bring out lots of empathy from the viewers heart to the by-gone people, things and yes.... the beauty and emotion of buildings, landscapes!!!!
It's great to see a place like this, with no vandalism- so many places in the U.S get trashed.
I lived in a Kinderheim in Sigmaringen on the Danube in western Germany till 1956. It would be great if you could do some video there of the Catholic run orphanage, in the northwest part of town, and also the Hoenzoleran castle on the river. I am retired with very little income so cannot afford to contribute anything right now but maybe later can send something. Also, I lost my German very quickly since no one around me spoke it and learned only English.
Lovely music, really sets the scene nicely. Its amazing how much society has changed, and how many different people have walked through these doors. Great video boys.
It seems that gracious architecture and western culture are being abandoned everywhere. Thank you for your wonderful respectful and artistic tour -- a masterpiece!
Out of all those who find these treasures you are up there as one of the best of the best. The way you film what you are seeing is beautiful, at times what you have captured is beyond words. I rarely subscribe to anyone and my list is small but brilliance doesn't happen everyday. Thank you for sharing these lost magical finds of architecture.
It kills me when I hear of forced occupation in homes after WW2. Its always down hill from there to fall into disrepair. Unless a rich buyer can rejuvenate. You must be in awe walking through history and saddened at the same time while exploring. I'm grateful you research and include a story behind the owners. Keep up the good work and thanks for the shoot!
How wonderful it was that you were able to share this. What beautiful woodwork and tilework! That place was splendid.
Thankfully not vandalized and beautiful building that should restored.
I feel so sorry for this house. It was once a loved sweet house and then it was taken over by such bad people. It could be so beautiful again.
@@Aerin-Lena1 You have absolutely no idea what state was the property in at the time you mention, so you'd better shut your mouth, right?
@@Aerin-Lena1 You're obviously a mindless parrot. We're not discussing whether it was good or bad for a part of Germany to fall under communist rule, but about what shape is a particular building in. While its expropriation might have been unfair, I don't see any reason to believe the building itself suffered any kind of damage during that time that would have been spared if history had turned otherwise, and let's not forget that era ended a very long three decades back and the property returned to private hands that much ago. Of course, saying so will turn me into a diehard communist in your mind, but the only reason for this comment is that I cringe when I meet such ignorance and stupidity as yours is. Peace, and may you die a little bit less dumb and ignorant than you are at the moment, though I'm afraid it'd take a miracle...
Bilis Negra, ignore them. Enlightenment can not be forced. This chanel is supposed to be about urban exploration, not the exploration of racist freaks in comment section. Communism isn’t equal nazism. People who think otherwise are seriously deluded. Second, I don’t blame them for not studying hard enough, therefore not understanding causality and historical processes. It’s quite a common thing today to be ignorant but full of attitude like Aerin Lena and Lori Stevens. As if it’s not sad enough, Lori has a foul mouth as well.
@@Aerin-Lena1, You throw everything together in one pot. All we've got is porridge. Let's be a little bit more systematical. Trying to simplify all the complicated events happening in post revolution and civil war country where there was a lot of starvation and banditism happening due to changes in political regimes. Are you aware that there was about 7 wars in that period of time? We get the maximum number of 5 millions repressed people during communists regime. 799 000 were executed. 600 000 died in forced labour camps. More than a million lost their lives during deportation and dekulakization. All together it will be around 2.6 millions. The other half survived repressions. Do you consider all the repressed people innocent? I mean in THAT time frame that we are talking about. Because yes, traitors and those caught in espionage were executed during repressions. After many years, less than 30% were rehabilitated. It means that more than half are considered to be guilty even by a new liberal government who tries to get rid of communistic history of their nations. And some additional statistic for those who compare communist tyrants with Nazis. Way more than 26 millions of Soviet people lost their lives during nazis occupation. Many still missing... I have never met a family that suffered from repressions untill the moment I purposely searched for those family for my work. On the other side I don't know any single family who survived WWII without loosing their family members. See the difference, please. And while I grieve over every single life that was forcefully taken, we need to be openminded and learn about two truths that happen simultaneously in world history. Because seriously, there is nothing wrong with communist ideas of Karl Marx. It was just poorly interpreted. Can we really count all the massmurders during IMPERIALISM eras or perhaps you want to discuss democracy? Because bloody communism is just not bloodier than any emperors' or democratic presidents' greed really. If you open the pages of history of the USA that was not communist and compare their loss of human lives during the same communist era in USSR, you will be surprised. 11% of population was erased compare to less than 2% of bloody communists. Any process can be broken down and explained. There are reasons and consequences. We need to learn how not to throw judgements based on a few articles read out of boredom. I'm not saying anything good about Lenin and Stalin. I don't justify what happened under their reign. However, it's crystal clear WHY it happened. Oppressed and starving people could take no more of their last Tsar. They needed Lenin and they created him. Just like Germany that was in depression created their leader. All of them used force and propaganda to get where they got.
@@Aerin-Lena1P.S.: we just compared Soviets. I don't know the loss of whole world to nazis regime. So really comparable? Every single country do the things that benefits their own interests.
BEAUTIFULLY DONE! I love the thoughtful pacing of the video, how you linger on the beautiful details, and appreciation of the architecture. What a treasure! Your delivery is very thought-provoking and your respect for the memory of those who lived there and the history is commendable. Thank you for a lovely experience. This is how these videos should be done.
Carona Ward você é uma gatinha linda demais 😍🤩🌹🌹💋💋💘👍
I 💯% agree. So many urban explorers go through abandoned places like a lightening⚡ bolt. Their number one goal is to go video the next location. Missing interesting items and often even rooms, I know I would have liked to see. For the majority of explorers this is their only source of income. Therefore, the more places explored in a day, brings about potentially more subscribers, likes and comments which eventually adds up to big dollar💲 signs. Which is a crying😢 shame for their viewers when it is really obviousthey are in a hurry.. So, thanks😏 to explorers who truly enjoy what they do🙃 and are honestly seeking their viewers satisfaction. Like these peeps!!💜

The details found in the wood and architecture of the main house are lovely. Amazing, with such decay, the homes beauty still remains. Thanks for the tour.
*BESTER LOST PLACES / URBEX KANAL EVER!*
STUNNING is the best way to describe this place. Someone has GOT to own that.
Man you guys are great! A real breath of fresh air amongst the cookie cutter Urbex videos. Thanks for your work. Cheers from Florida! New subscriber!
Thank you for giving us a glimpse into this beautiful old home. It is so refreshing to find that there is no graffiti marring the walls.
Beautiful, beautiful building! Beautiful music, this is got to be one of my favourite videos of yours! It's such a shame this wonderful building is going to waste....
Love that you find the personal touches that went into this home, so beautiful!
SUCH BEAUTY FROM ANOTHER ERA
I have not watched lately this is amazing. I love how you show the details so gently. Music camera all wonderful. Like I said a while back like archeologists with care and respect.
What a beautiful place! The architecture is so interesting, and to think of the craftsmen who worked on this home! It so sad to think of the families and lives that have filled its rooms with laughter and tears, but it only has its memories and is left alone and forgotten.
The pan shot starting with the stairs at 5:09 and ending on the ceiling gave me goosebumps.
Haha cheers! :D
Another great video.. I love the woodwork, the staircase ect...
The writings on the walls was interesting & the chandelier too.
Was probably a beauty back in the day when families lived there, would like to see a picture from back then.
Thanks for sharing, be safe out there.
Hi
I live in Qingdao, China. A city which was ruled by Germens 100 years ago. This is my dream style of house I since I was a child. There are many houses like this in the center area of Qingdao. Looking from afar, countless houses are dotted in the hills, like children's toys. This is so beautiful! I so adore it! I wish people can protect this piece of jewelry.
By the way, can anybody tell me what style of this house is? I will build myself one if it's not impossible!
Great work as always guys. The out of focus-into focus shots are so nice. Awesome video :)
I love these videos (mostly the forgotten beautiful architecture and woodwork). Please guys, for some of us older people, please don't do that too much. I have to look away. Broken Window Theory, thank you for keeping the camera from jumping all around. I got sick from someone else's video because they did that. Thank you!
wow guys, what a fantastic place and some really impressive camera work there. also love the milli vanilli posters on the wall, those guys were HUGELY popular in the GDR back then!
Well, this was long before our time. 😂
see! that's why you guys are young and i am old and grey - but wise ;)
Such a beautiful home wasting away. The woodwork on the staircases is beautiful. So is the ceiling work above the fan. What I liked the best was that beautiful tile work on a floor. Very colorful and well done. Would love to have a home such as this.
It's very Sad that it's not being taken care of and restored it's so very beautiful!
What a remarkable mansion! And you do a exquisite job in telling its story .I really love that you have researched the history of this lovely place. I always look forward to seeing your next exploration .
Great production, cinematography and editing.
I just had to pause video long enough to mention how much I love the piano movement you made for this! Back to the video!
Who ever does your camera shooting and editing has one of the Best Eyes for it. I love the angles that have been shot. Your narrative is extremely well done. I find it very relaxing but exciting at the same time. You take your time on the shots to allow me to take it all in and enjoy the beauty of the carvings and wallpapers. I'm amazed at all the books on the shelves. I really do appreciate your art forum. Until I see you again.
Now I know how Till envisions hell: a room covered in flowery wallpaper! :D
Another great video, guys! I'm going back in time watching all your old uploads. Interesting to see how your style changed but also how you fundamentally remained the same people: still full of curiosity and always wanting to give "more" to your viewers. That's probably the best thing about you all!
Your commentary is perfection and the manner in which you shot it is so very professional and interesting. Good for you
I have to tell you that you do an awesome job with these videos. The history and narrative you provide is great. Also, your choice of music in these videos adds a certain emotional impact that contributes to it greatly. Thank you so much for all the time and effort you put into making these videos. I truly enjoy watching them. Thank you!
I could listen to your voice all day. You’re videos, editing, photos and music are wonderful. Enjoy watching your hard work. From Canada
Thanks a lot!
Ihr Typen! Was fuer eine Qualitaet, was fuer eine Musik!!!Respekt!
Danke! Schau dir auch mal die aktuellen Videos an.
Another beautiful place and equally beautiful video footage. Great job guys. You don't even have to ask me for a like, i just give them out of my own volition since all your videos absolutely deserve them. Keep up the good work!
Such wonderful craftsmanship! I'm in tears! This Beauty is calling out for some love!! If you darling, young Germans ever decide to step in and restore and take over this part of your country's heritage, let me know. I will work for FREE to polish up this old girl! Thanks for sharing. I could feel the "vibe" of the manor right through the screen! 🌎
Absolutely stunning. If I could just hear the walls..
Only a German could understand the beauty of abandoned places.
Thank you guys! ❤
GREAT Find, Fantastic Camera work. Your Videos just keep getting better and better... Jim >>>>
I bet this place was fantastic when it was first built. Thank you for sharing this video...
Vc é uma gatinha linda demais 😍🤩💘🌹🌹🌷❤❤💘
What a beautiful place with such workmanship. The filming was outstanding as was the editing and background music. Really nice.
Thanks, Nonya. We hope that you like our other videos as well!
Beautiful place and love the history you shared!
Absolutely breath taking! It’s as if you were reading my mind. Each detail from the cameos to the spider webs to the different wallpapers were perfectly depicted. I was fascinated every second and the narration was charming. Thanks for a wonderful trip to a faraway place. Just magical ❤️
Great work, great channel. Top notch quality cinematography with awesome soothing music. Euphoric! 💖
I really enjoy the history of these mansions, etc. It makes your videos much more interesting!
Era una mansión, muy hermosa!!! En sus tiempos no habría palabras para describir su belleza... Así es esto, todo tiene un principio y un final. Saluditos desde la Ciudad de México 🇲🇽 felicidades
This is another superb exploration, with excellent photography, narration, and choice of background music. Here in the US we have several Urban Explorers who think we prefer looking at their faces and listening to their prattling comments, with music that spoils the mood completely. Wunderbar! (When I was a younker, there was a popular song by this name, though most of it was in English. Oho, I just looked it up and it's from "Kiss Me Kate," sung, in the clip I played, by Howard Keel and Katherine Grayson.)
It's sad that this castle was taken ,then was used and abused it's beautiful and the scalloped roof is amazing.
You have the perfect voice for narration. The places you visit are pretty amazing too.
You have a wonderful eye for the detail of the beautiful architecture of your explores! I think the scribbled names on the walls are from people who may have been affected by the GDR occupancy !
Thanks! Yeah, we think the same about those names on the walls.
What a soothing accent i could listen to your voice all day..Love the Walking Dead song never heard more then a few bars of that song beautiful..The castle and other's like it I just love them all..But sad that such care went into the build of it..To only sit and lay in waste of time gone by never to repeat..Very sad this castle was so beautiful in it's day the crown molding in the ceiling is so beautiful like a painting..Thanks for sharing this beautiful time capsule..
I LIKE WATCHING THESE VIDEOS MORE THAN ONCE CAUSE YOU ALWAYS NOTICE SOMETHING ELSE YOU HAVE NOT SEEN FROM BLINKING OUR EYES
sure wish that some of the urbex people would get down to the basements of these buildings so we could see some of the old mechanicals - boiler rooms, etc. seems like no one wants to do this. i've watched 100's of these videos and only one so far has done so. having said that though, this video was spectacular and the sound track made it even more wonderful. thank you!
Your videos make me want to move back to Germany! I miss finding castles in every other village!
Just beautiful....when you saw the flies on the wall and ceiling it means something or somebody is dead, you should check just in case. Nice video and thank you.
I just love your voice! I'm from Kentucky so all I hear is country slang All day.
😂😂 Awesome, thanks dude!
Broken Window Theory lol your welcome. :)
brooke lynn I'm also from Ky.
But moved away (to Indiana) when I married due to lack of jobs then, in the 1960's.
Shirley Harrison There is still a bad lack of jobs here. I'm from the Paducah area
brooke lynn. I was born & raised in Columbia, Adair County. But in the 1960's it was a lot smaller than now. But I was raised back in the hollars & hills..lol
I'm old now & a widow but all the family I have now down there are dead, excep for nieces & a nephew & cousins, so no reason now to move back. I got married at 15 & only lived there abt 4 or 5 months.
I've been here ever since, raised my 2 sons here & retired from a hospital after 21 years as a nurses aide. .but I still talk the same..lol
Got teased about that, but people seemed to like me just like I was.
My 2nd husband died almost 2 years ago & I travel down there by myself ,& my dog in the summer months.
I wouldn't last a day without watching a videos you uploaded. Thank you for providing us treat thru your quality videos this quarantine period. Stay safe folks 😉
I just came across your videos for the first time. I'm in love! I really appreciate the history you give, the excellent camera work and how much you respect the properties. It also really makes me want to go to Germany and explore.
Thank you for the honest feedback!
Thankyou very much for showing us the details. Top marks. Brilliant video!
This was really well filmed and edited. Great Job, guys. Thanks for giving us a glimpse into a piece of the world that mste of us have no chance of visiting.
I loved seeing this place. It really is nice the way it’s built. A lot of charm.
Seen a few videos. Very soothing, interesting and well filmed. No drama and no attention seekers. Subscribed! Keep it up
Thanks for the feedback!
Love how you tell the history during the video! Great music and great find! Thank you
Thanks! You will probably like our other videos as well!
@@bwturbex Yeah, I subscribed
What a waste of a beautiful building. It's nice to of captured this piece of history on camera before its lost forever.
Great explore guys. Always excellent. Better and better every vid 👍👍
Gracias por enfocar detalles, es lo que siempre busco ver en estos videos. estupendo!
This place is beautiful. The architecture is amazing.
Loved❤️ your video with the attention to detail.

Thanks for sharing with me this video about the Found Mystic Abandoned Castle Hidden in the Woods - Urbex Lost Places Germany I really enjoyed it I am from the united states and I like watching your videos on here when I can and I can't wait to see your next video and God Bless you my friends and thanks again.
Wow. So amazing. I know living like this can never happen again. Very nice video.
👍🏼
I was so amazed by all the hand crafted details of this distinguished property. It looked like a skull under all the white stuff on the floor of the one room you hurried through. Didn't see any kitchen or eating space. Thanks for sharing. 🖒
Yes, all the kitchen stuff had been removed. Thanks for your comment!
Subscribed! I like how you focus on the details. Then you added some facts, which is enlightening for the curious, like me. Fantastic exploring.
Another great video! Germany is truly beautiful.
Thanks for watching!
I just subscribed to your channel, majority of my ancestors came from Darmstadt, Germany and find it fascinating of the work you guys do in exploring these remarkable abandoned homes.
CONGRATULATIONS ! GREAT, GREAT ESPECTACULAR VIDEO ! OR SHOULD I SAY PERFECT VIDEO ? PERFECT VOICE AND NARRATION, PERFECT AUDIO, PERFECT SCENERY ! THANKS A BUNCH ! AND OF COURSE BIG THUMBS UP ! !
Thanks and have fun with our other videos!
One of my favorite places! Thanks 😀 👍👍👍
I love your video ! I feel like I'm really there with you as you go through through mansion ! Great shots of the architectural features in the mansion. I don't have a passport but I can still see beautiful places in the world through your camera lens !
I just have to put it in here, get an passport. Even if you can't see any travelling in your future, just get it. It feels great to know you COULD cross borders if you wanted/needed to, and it's a solid proof of identity no one can despute. (Well, I guess authorities could claim you had a fake passport, but it has lots of watermarks and such)
I amazed with all your work, I love the way that you make the videos and how do you narrate wile Im watching the video., I love Urbex videos. one day I would love to go inside to abandon place and fill the sensation of been there. regards from Toronto.
Hi Erika, thank you for this great comment!
Great video! The wallpaper montage was hilarious. Thank you for the great attention to detail.
😂👍🏼
Great photography. The narration is wonderful.
When the rooms with the names & dates were being shown, the thought came to me that maybe those rooms were used to either hide people or imprison people, esp. given the time period.
Agree
At that time people weren't arrested in someones home. It was just the architecture style that was favored back then. Sorry for the English, I'm German
Hexanne Thorium I think your English is great! :) I couldn’t speak/write another language to save my life
@@Creativelytati oh, thank you 😊 we get to learn English since the thor grade, and French or another language in the sixth grade, soo... 🤷♀️😂
i felt good energies in this place... it brought me so much peace! thank you
WOW ....what a BEAUTIFUL PLACE!!
SO SAD TO SEE IT DECAY AWAY!!!
Your narration is captivating.
Great find as usual quality vidioes. Thanks for your through research on these finds. Love your work . Until next time . Thanks for the explore.
Beautiful details, nice photography!
Your video was art, stunning, exquisite. The level of class, I don't see this in U.S. videos. I absolutely loved it.
Thanks a bunch and check out our other videos as well!
Love the chair room and wallpaper number 1. Thank you for this beautiful explore
So sad to see it decaying, so beautiful. The woodwork, especially the banisters/railing are totally awesome, they don't do craftsmanship like that anymore. Would cost a fortune if they did. Doubt you could find someone with that kind of skill and talent. Thank you for sharing. Blessings to you all.🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀
