After five years, I'm here watching this video and truth be told it is helpful for me a lot as I didn’t know the difference between these two tenses properly. Thanks BBC learning English for teaching us in a sarcastic way Take love💖
" I'm your host Leslie, but I'm not less ! And, of course, let's not forget Will, our all-knowing voice in the sky ! " I've never happened to watch it. It would be fun !
Hi there- 'I have been working as an accountant for 8 years' (present perfect continuous) or 'I have worked as an accountant for 8 years' (present perfect simple).
This video is so misleading. Present perfect simple and continuous are totally different. You can only use two verbs with both: work and live. As for any other verbs, it’s completely different. U say: ‘It’s been raining since yesterday’, u can’t say ‘it’s rained since yesterday’.

thank you
I don’t know if I had any other ideas
Funny
Can I say “I’ve been wanting to do sth.”?
Is it just me or does Leslie sound a lot like the mirror from Shrek?
"I have been studying English Literature for 5 years" and "I have studied English Literature for the past 5 years". Are they correct?
Yes, they are both correct! 👍 Well done.
@@bbclearningenglish Thank you 😇
Was it only me? or did anyone else focus on his tie too? lol
he has been written letters for two hours and He has written 24 letters
A slight correction. We use -ing form of verbs after "have been". So, it should be, "He has been WRITING letters for two hours."
What!!!???
After six years I’m watching here.
