I have one its the same frame, suspension, brakes, with a new engine and transmission, though the 2020 previous gen was used to test the engine and trans. Only thing i wish it has was front parking sensors, smaller shifter, and electric power steering so it could have lane keep and fix the turning radius and the pro4x should have a locking front diff and better skid plates for its price
I have a 2012 Nissan Sentra S with over 226,000 miles on it. Never had an issue with the original CVT. I changed the fluid every 60,000 miles as required in the owner’s manual. Nissan is capable to be reliable as Toyota and Honda. You haters should learn how to read a manual and drive a car properly and you won’t have any problems long term.
I love Nissan's & Infiniti's engine notes! Owned two Maximas personally and the wifey currently has the G37. Always use an excuse to drive her car all the time lol.
Just to clarify for accuracy, each build of the '22 Frontier has slightly different tow and payload capacities: King Cab Towing = 6720lbs Payload = 1610lbs Crew Cab (including the Pro-4X in this video) Towing = 6570lbs Payload = 1480lbs Crew Cab long bed Towing = 6460lbs Payload = 1360lbs
MasterCraft lists this 22 foot X15 at 3575 lbs, including the inboard engine and outboard drive. The painted steel double axle trailer is about 1,000 lb., give or take, probably a little less. The 45 gal fuel tank is 270 lbs full and two batteries are 90 lbs. That's 4935. Not sure where the other 800 is coming from, maybe the spare tire. Still, very nice tow job.
I swung by Nissan dealership just to take a look at the new Pathfinder. They had only 2 of them and both marked up about 8k above MSRP. I think you can forget about getting one for 44 at least until automotive supply chain is restored, which is months away if not couple of years. No way those sleazy bastards would ever get a penny over msrp from me
If you think the stock billstien shocks are nice if you opt for the upgraded nismo/ billstien shocks with resivoirs in rear & 2.6 diamiter in front youd really really be impressed maybe more so once coupled with the nismo leveling/ 2.5 in lift kit does both off & on road itll perform significantly better
If you add the upgraded Nismo shocks it really improves ride quality both on & off road & if you tow id suggest the road active suspension ras to install on your leaf springs the truck will feel like a sports car with the Nismo shocks & the RAS road active suspension those two upgrades compliment each other extremely well
I want Nissan to profitably survive and they have decided to keep their product offerings lean and rely on trusted components whenever possible (engine, architecture, etc.). Once production stabilizes, they may offer a manual option.
You can definenty tell in the video that that boat is a heavy load for that Nissan Frontier, we usde to have a Rinker 232 Captiva Cuddy that we towed with my dad's 2001 Dodge ram 1500 with the 5.2 318 and that boat was around the same weight as this one and it was a heavy load for his truck as well.
I have a 2022 frontier, no tow hitch from factory or tow mode button. I'm getting a tow hitch installed. I'll need harness, adapter between harness and RV. Now does my Frontier 2022 have a brake controller? Can I tow without a tow mode button? Thanks.
Yes you can, you can easily tow what he’s towing with just a weight distribution hitch, trailer brake controller, and overdrive on. You’ll be just fine. I have a 2017 frontier V6 4.0 liter and it does just fine without the tow mode button
Yeah and the next second a crowed of old farts swoops in with the comments on bow shitty TT’s are and how only NA engines are worth anything. Just go to any Tundra discussion lol
I agree, he hit 5,000 rpm in this video more than the entire 9,000 miles I've have my ranger. Pulling a 4,000 RV or a flatbed full of timber. I love low end torque.
Need more specification. What're you towing and how much? A 3000 lb pop-up camper and a 3000 lb boat will burn very different fuel numbers. As will a 3000 lb boat vs a 6000 lb boat. The forums are probably a great place to get more specific information.

You’re in Utah!! You should meet up with TheStradMan
That dodge challenger you are towing is HEAVY.
I'm really impressed with Nissan here, also the the V6 sounds really good.
Never thought i'd say this...
Nissan trucks are underrated.
Nissan's are underrated in general
@@bobbykimble6358 Their CVT cars aren’t, but the Frontier and Titan are underrated
They really always have been
@alh06 that's true, but you also have to remember, everything surrounding that cvt is fantastic
Yeah frontiers have always been the best midsize trucks ever especially the previous 2005-2021 gen frontiers. Very impressive Nissan.
Nissan is starting to turn around, I like the new frontier and 400z a lot!
It’s true, they’ve developed a solid truck with this new frontier. Very excited for the new Z too.
@@TheTopher I'm gunna wait a long while for this small truck competition to kick up. Looking forward to seeing you review the new Maverick.

I quite like the look of the new Frontier. Enormous step up from the ancient previous model even if the underpinnings aren't 100% new.

I own a 22 Frontier that I bought back in late 21 and I LOVE IT!!
that’s a really nice looking interior tbh, it isn’t flashy or expensive but it still looks good idk why

With that wake boat and rig all you need now is a white monster ultra and ankle height cargo shorts🤙
That’s actually really crazy to me that a V6 can haul that much. I drive a ram 3500 and don’t usually tow more than 10k, and that thing is a diesel.

a lot of people with that boat add ~1200 lbs of ballast bags in the back and ~600 in the front for skiing. Possible the weight included that?
Ayyy welcome to Utah man! We have great outdoors
After all the options and destination, 44k is a really good price for what you get

Do you have a brake controller installed? Or, is that not needed on this?

I wouldn't tow that much without a trailer brake controller
I was wondering how these things would handle towing an NC Miata. Good to know ;-)
I always use navigation with no sound.
That’s the only way to use it!
Yes sir
Wish they put a turbo on it for more torque, similar to the ranger. 310hp is great however it's the torque that really matters

NA are better engines long term AND a V6 with 310HP trumps the competition.
