Beautiful!
Where is the ‘after video’ would love to see the final reveal of the Renovation!
Unfortunately no major work has been carried out just yet, as the owners are awaiting planning consent. However, we hope to be underway soon!
Hi i am in the process to buying a listed grade 2 shop with flat above. Do the planners allow us to insert RSJs to make the shop bigger?
how do you see it that the wall hasn't dropped ...
Like my old Series II Landrover, and experience of living in a listed nightmare, never again. However, good luck; vast amounts of money can solve almost anything so long as the Council aren't complete ..............
I wonder if it is Finished ~ I would Love to see it ~
Not yet, Fiona - some issues with the foundations meant that the renovation stalled. Hoping it will be on track soon!
Is there an after video?
Hey Sean, I'm afraid there isn't yet. We're still monitoring the project, and the architects contribute regularly to the magazine... but sadly the project was beset by planning / structural issues and it's very slow going.
With ground that unstable it should be walked away from. Good luck!
any update on the renovation ? and you mentioned a "leantwo sp?" What is that and did I spell it correctly ?
I am interested in taking on a similar project (at some point) so interested in learning how things are coming along
We're hoping to visit again soon - the renovation hit the brakes due to some fairly heavy red-tape and significant groundworks... Lean-to is the thing you mean - it's basically an outbuilding that fixes on to the wall of the main building - sometimes timber frame but occasionally more sturdy.
"once we have permission" I know where you're going but good gawd it's your house and your trying your best to do what's right for this building. The day I have government telling me what to do with the interior of my house is the day I leave the place for someone else or let it rot back into the ground.
Great don't buy a listed property. These are important buildings and need treating property inappropriate use of cement etc can cause serious damage.
Any update?
Unfortunately the project hit a planning hitch, and we're awaiting the nod before the owners can proceed. Frustrating, but all part of the process!
Any updates yet?
I hate that they don't show the result 👎👎
Unfortunately the renovation hit some red tape issues, but has recently re-started, so hopefully we should have updates from this project over the next few months.
