I tried this on my latest Bandai AT-ST build, but was not convinced on the outcome. Maybe I need a better quality oil paints, anyhow my experiments with this technique are not over yet 😅 Nice tutorial Tam!
The quality of the paint will affect the outcome. The better quality, the less grainy the paint will be and the better the result. I was using relatively cheap paints for this and you can see some graininess on the result, however if you look at some of the other oil works I’ve done the result is less grainy because I’ve been using abteilung paints, which are made specifically for scale modelling and have less oil in them
cos i had a brain fart at the beginning of the year to try to sound more professional, so i used AI to do the voiceovers for about 2-3 months, till it became clear the audience didnt like them. A little experiment to make things easier that failed lmao
