Big Fish Came Back For Seconds!

- I had a big fish hit my weedless rigged paddletail but it didn't get hooked. I made a quick switch to a paddletail on a traditional jig head with an exposed hook, took a cast, and the fish hit again. Turned out to be a big Snook and a new personal best by a 1/4 inch.

One of my all-time favorite places to fish. Fished there since I was a kid. I really enjoy your videos. Gotta love the sound of braid whistling through the guides! That was a stud of a snook, especially in there. Nicely done 👍

How big was the paddletail
The Snook first hit a 3.5 inch paddletail that was rigged weedless but didn't get hooked. I switched to a 5 inch paddle tail that I already had rigged on a traditional jig head- I think it was a Zman trout eye jighead - and that's when I got the good hook set.

nice snook, where did you launch?
I launched at Faver Dykes State Park which has a nice boat ramp for my trailer. A lot of guys that transport their kayaks in the back of a truck will launch at Princess Place Preserve which actually puts you closer to some good areas.
Which net brand do you use?? Seems better than mine for kayak fishing lol
I have been using a Black Paw Fishing Net - fixed pole 16x16 hoop size I found on Amazon. I have tried several nets and this is the best one by far.
