- After a pod of feeding Dolphins blew up my fishing spot I decided to fish a different area and ended up catching a personal best Snook. I refer to it as a 'monster' in the video. That that may seem like an exaggeration as much bigger Snook are caught in other parts of Florida. However in NE Florida we don't get many Snook, especially this size. Caught on a paddletail using a Medium Power Bull Bay Stealth Sniper Rod paired with a Daiwa BGMQ 3000, I0lb Braid, 20 lb Mono leader tipped with additional 30lb Mono leader.
Congratulations Oz! That's a monster snook! Especially for around here! Shoot yeah!!!
Thanks CC. I caught several more fish that day, including a couple of slot reds, but that Snook was such a thrill.
The amount of Dolphin in the area continues to amaze me. Always cool to watch. Nice Snook!
Thank you. I see a lot of dolphin there as well and occastionally some gators and manatee.
Beautiful Oz. I fished opposite side of you and saw the pod of dolphins. The guy I fished with jumped a big one but it spit the hook. Congrats
Thanks Franco. Good to see you getting out on the water again.
My man Oz... perty snook!
Well i guess they are back👍👍
What shoes are those?
They are a brand called Crosskix, made for the water and easy to find online. There are a few guys I know that wear them and love them. I think they are OK but not the most comfortable shoe for my feet.
@@FishingwiththeOz they look great for peddling the lynx drive. I mainly wear nrs boots but would like a sneaker type for performance with my Lynx
where were you fishing?
Sorry but I am not divulging the exact location but it is in NE Florida.
@@FishingwiththeOz I didn't realize a launch area was such a big secret, but ok.
