- With so much live bait in the water it was challenging to catch fish the day before. So today I came out with a weedless underspin jig head to throw in the grass and above the oyster beds. My fishing buddy was not using an underspin lure. And although we both caught a few fish on a traditional jig head, I caught almost twice as many fish so I have to give some credit to the underspin jig head for my success.

Great Video. Simple fishing but great pleasure. Keep it up
I fish in St. Augustine too, and I like the idea of using a spinner on a paddle tail, or perhaps even better putting a dirty boxer curly tail on it. Redfish and flounder can't resist
Great video and thanks for the advice.
Z man spinnerbait and chatterbaits work wonders!! Me and my buddy fish them all the time , west of you in the St Marks area… keep up the good videos!!
Thanks, I have a few chatterbaits that I really have not tried out in saltwater and will give one try.
@@FishingwiththeOz I use the Zman chatter bait gold with no skirt , just a paddle tail or curly tail 👍🏻
@@CreekDonkeyFishing I do have some of those as well, just don't throw them enough so I will see if I can remedy that. Thanks.
Oz I have fished ther ebefore when I was down in ST Augustine . Do you mind telling me were you put in? We slide in under the bridge and it was very schetchy. Do youknow of a public launch?
Can put in at Princess Place Preserve or at Faver Dykes State Park. www.paddleflorida.net/pellicer-creek-paddle.htm
