I traded a 2016 LRS and got a 2018 Lowrider. Near the same power (butt dyno) and MUCH better/easier to ride. Only downside was it didn't sound as mean as the LRS. Looks are subjective.

Harley-Davidson is my brand but they got to step up a bit more. I had to add a gas assisted oil cooler to my M8 street glide when it’s standard on other models.

They do! On their website, they say they are offering the chromed-out model but with the smaller 107 motor. One was just delivered to Denney's Hd in Springfield mo. so I can say it's true. This is great! The Heritage is my favorite Harley but no way would I ever buy one of the blacked-out models.

Being 2020 we wondered what new equipment an innovations but are we disappointed by just new paint?! Also, the fenders either seem too big or too small on models, the red paint seems to have too much orange in it. All these bikes need LED lights in all positions! An lot of these styles have gone back the same for years! Everyone of these bikes will be water cooled in future, might just do it now! Thanks, Tim p.s. Ive purchased 5 new Harley's since my first in 1982 and loved them. I do believe Harley has made a serious blunder the last 15 years by not sticking to the basics. They continue to make too many models (as seen in this video) which has saturated the market and dropped resales on used bikes. Most Millenials don't even know how to ride a bicycle so you are wasting your time trying to create something they like.

I don't know if I have lost my taste or what, Ya things change and I am older but I sure loved the 30's-60's bikes. You had to know how to turn a wrench, but every body did then. The new bikes are vaguely familiar, but the mostly look like they are made of plastic and most were baggers, I don't leather, but over priced plastic. It makes me wonder if the older cow boys felt the same way when they saw a car or an air plane.
I love HD's, I have a 1986 FXRT I bought new, just sold my 2009 FLTR which I also bought new. But to me, correct me if I'm wrong, but all the new bikes are way to "flashy"..Not my idea of cool "stock" bikes...Don't jump all all over me people but I think Harley is makin the bikes way to expensive for the average person these days...I'm gonna stay with my old RT..

No More Dynas Im no longer interested. Never paid more than 15 grand either. Bought 5 new bikes out 10 I owned. Guess I will explore the used market. FTW
If you've never ridden one of the new softies you should at least test ride one. Unless you're going for hard core it will surprise you. They handle better, accelerate better and are lighter off the kickstand. Sound isn't as good as the twin cam (subjective) but they are better to live with on a day to day basis. Had both new. Just an opinion.

Why change? I look at Kawasaki vaquero and see Harley. If it aint broke don't fix it. All I see is metric bikes trying to be Harleys. My 2 cents.
