I swear if I ever win the lottery I will open a club exactly like this one. It doesn't even have to make money, it just has to be a place for my friends and I to dress up and sip cocktails and listen to French jazz.

Janice Rule was a PhD, so...Dr Rule! She was a psychoanalyst after her film career. Her last husband was Ben Gazzara. She died at 73 in 2003.
I guess she had it all, beauty, talent and brains!

I get that look all the time when I think about how I'm going to "get" evil corporations and media conglomerates, and yeah, they better watch out for me.🥰 And if you get on my bad side and I give you a look like that, sit down, cause you're good as done. Love this movie!

Janice Rule originated the role of Madge in "Picnic" on Broadway. Kim Novak took it over for the movie version. Then Novak's character decimates Rule's character here in "Bell, Book and Candle". I hope there were no hard feelings between the 2 actors away from stage/screen.

I've always lovedI this film - esp during the holiday season (for me, this IS a great holiday film). The cast - with Ms Lanchester, Ms Gingold, and Messers Lemon and Kovacs doing great work in supporting roles, and Ms Hunter - probably my favourite film of hers, outside Vertigo. Last, but certainly not 'least'; the incomparable Pywacket. I'm not a cat person, but Siamese are so loving. It's such an unusual use of colours the film's palette is so unique. It's a very..uniwue-looking Technicolor film, a lot of blue, with complimentary browns and beiges being used a lot, and emerald greens, and pastels are used , as well. It's not common. It only adds to the whole sense of...uniqueness. Ms Hunter, if you read this, you're so wonderful in this!🐈‍⬛
