Thanks for checking out my lesson on Bob Dylan's "Knockin' on Heaven's Door!" Stick around to see how to play this classic song 3 different ways! Thank you. I have struggled with guitar for a while. I even took lessons for a little while but I didn't mesh with the instructor. They wanted to play it at full speed over and over and would get frustrated if you wouldn't catch the subtleties. I quit until I ran across your lessons. I can actually play in front of people without being stressed now. I've been following you for about a year.
Greetings from Isle of Wight,UK.Bob visited here back in 69 for the festival of rock aristocracy but sadly before my birth.Don't get better than Bob.''It's alright ma,i'm only bleeding'' is my personal favourite but very tricky to master... i'm finding.'Wedding-song' too is terrific and easier to play.So much choice from the Bard.Good to see you back btw.
Thanks for the different options Angela. A fresh way to playing this great tune. I’m an older learner to Guitar. So many thanks for my first song played through. 👍
Missed yesterday. Watched this today. That was my first song ever I played on guitar. Great lesson, thx Angie! Learn the solo on e- guitar guys! Cheers from Munich everybody 👋🎸
my fav from Dylan is the "Girl from the North Country". Thanks so much for your video, your energy, vibe and great tutorial of the heaven's door Dylan song. Would love if you could do a tutorial on that "Girl from the North Country". Cheers.
really really good. I am more than just a beginner, but not a whole lot. I love the more in depth discussion about intervals and notes and alternative way to play things. I am a fan with 1 lesson!
Awesome lesson as usual! It’s a great classic tune and one of the first songs I learned. Later on I learned the GNR version which I still like to play - but it pretty much has to be done on an electric. I have an acoustic version that I play all the time which is pretty much a cross of the Dylan and GNR versions. I always enjoy your videos!
Hi Angela, I’m Frank and I’m tuning in from Holland. My favourit Dylan song is Idiot Wind as performed on his bootleg albums. This has to do with the melancholic atmosphere, the remarkable text, the beautiful chords and the length of this song. Your lessons and the way you connect are great! Frank
I Love Your Tutorial ! Very Few People Know That This Song Is From The Soundtrack Album, Pat Garrett And Billy The Kid, Good Old Western About Billy The Kid, That Bob Dylan And Kris Kristofferson Are In. I Have Had This Album For 50 Years, For Real .
wonderful lesson!! Hello from Frankfurt Germany. Fav BD Song - there are so many beautiful ones but if I had to pick one it's "Girl from the North Country"
Thank you Angela for including the "less than Supple Fingered" of us with a great older song,... Your dating me here... I heard this come out on the old AM radio of the day...
First time watching Angela. Excellent video. I will try these options. Surprisingly similar mannerisms and style to Lauren Bateman. You're not sisters are you?
A good go to at a jam where others can pretty easily play aong to. I used to play the clapton version, but the reggae beat is a little harder for others to play along if they haven't worked on it a bit. Thanks AP. DW
Hello from Padova, Italy. I recently discovered this channel so I'm a new subscriber. I'm a late-beginner guitar player, and I would love to learn how to play any song from Hall & Oates.
As a 3rd year beginner, I'm wondering if you could clarify the strum? I've slowed down the playback speed but still don't have it. Looks like there's a strum within a strum.
Good morning miss Angela Do you have lesson on Jim Croce ( operator) I love the way you show & Explain Lessons easy & simple have a great day & God bless 🙏🏽
Love this girl very very talented she certainly explains it that you can understand....doint mind me I'm a beginner I wish she was in the town were I live
Hello Angela. I was looking for a good version of this classic song - this is it. I have one suggestion - please include a tab for your songs on RUclips that has the strums/picked notes, i.e. in a '1 & 2 & 3 & 4 &' format. Each bar I'm hearing a strum on count one, then four 1/8 note strums - are they on counts 3&4& ? Or is my counting all wrong?? Thanks.
Tuned in from Thailand, favourite BD song is from the Desire album, Black Diamond Bay. There are plenty more great songs on this album so well worth buying if you don't have already. WARNING!!! Plenty of electric guitar, pissed off a lot of diehard fans, not me though.
Your fav tunes are universal. Keep going. At first, I thought you talked too much :), between lessons but realize slowwww practice and patience is the way. Thanks offering your free time.
4 those that can play this using Barre chords: it's not far removed from "SweetJane"(which is much easier). Whistle or sing around the campfire. Most will B impressed!
I literally only click on these because Angela looks cute in the thumbnails and my man brain goes "Aooga", but I always end up staying and learning a new song 👍 so thanks!
