Thanks for tuning in to my lesson of Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Have You Ever Seen The Rain." Be sure to subscribe to my channel to keep up to date on new episodes of the Riff Rundown! Happy Playing!
I've learned several songs from you. I love your enthusiasm. You're the best guitar teacher for staying true to the original song, including emphasizing all of the nuances and details.
Your a really good teacher taking time to call out the notes on the riffs so you're not just learning to mimic sound but you're actually learning the notes on the strings which is very valuable in the scope of walk-ups walk downs and solos you're the best I have seen teaching this song for sure thank you for sharing you have a very kind demeanor and you make it fun for this old man from Louisiana to learn a new trick or two enjoyed it Angela !
Your repetition over and over is the key. The best teacher in statistics I had, years ago, used this technique and all in class passed with honours. Looking forward to completing this and moving on to more of your lessons. 💐
Hi Angela, at 70, I finally decided to try to record myself using something better than using my iPhone 😂 I bought a Macbook, Scarlett 2i2, Rode condenser mic. As soon as I figure out GarageBand I’m ready to go. So the first song I choose to record is this one. Your excellent attention to detail in playing this song from the intro all the way through is really great. You are my fav person to learn from on RUclips ❤ thanks Angela
Hi Angela, I’ve just found your channel. Your strumming is smooth and beautiful. At your young age, if you grew up listening to CCR, that just illustrates the timelessness of Fogerty’s music. I grew up listening to CCR in the 70’s. Have You Ever Seen The Rain has always been one of my favorites. Now if I could just learn to sing like Fogerty! Thanks for doing this, Steve from Georgia (USA, not Russia)
HI Angela , my name is Malcolm Bernardo from Cape Town South Africa. I wish that I could have met you sooner. Back in the days my music teacher used to hit us on our knuckles when we made mistakes. You have a wonderful way of teaching your music and it made me pick up my guitar again. Thanks for the inspiring me. All the be
Hi Angela, thanks for a great lesson on one of my favorites! Lots of videos out there on this song, but I think yours is one of the more comprehensive and the one I keep coming back to. I can play it (I even have a book of all of CCR’s hits so I have a reference) but I can’t change to the F chord - regardless of how I fret it - and stay in time. And I can’t get the chorus walk downs to sound as good as yours but you are way ahead of me with guitar talent. I will say I’ve been playing less than two years so maybe I’ll eventually get there. Keep up the great work to teach us newbie guitarists! I’m in southwest Georgia, USA and 70’s music was some of the best.
Hi Angela! Watching you from Japan. The band that broke my heart when they broke up was Styx. Listening to them since '77. Saw them live for the Paradise Theater and the Mr. Roboto tours.
Not old enough to have lived through it but when i found out the story behind Peter Green in Munich, Germany and that leading to him leaving Fleetwood Mac it really broke my heart.
I was working on the riffs and intro to this song earlier this week, so how timely you chose to teach this song. Thank you for the lesson. You are so great at going over the various parts to the song, making it much easier to get it right.
I agree the music from John Fogerty & CCR is timeless. I play it lot an special music from the 50 s, 60 s and 70s Although I am an intermediate Guitar Player I enjoy your lessons.
I ❤ the way you Teach...!!! Your fun, friendly " talking " makes learnings more interesting. ( You never give a chance to feels Bore during the whole video. ). 😊👍🏻 Hiii ... Here I am... 🙋🏻♂️ Your New subscriber.. Your New student....!!!!
Angela, thanks so much for the great lesson. I was not familiar with your work until I viewed you doing a Martin SC-13e guitar review for Guitar Center. Intrigued enough to do a search, and so happy to have found your youTube channel. "Have You Ever Seen the Rain" has always been a favorite of mine. I am picking up the guitar again after a long hiatus, and your lesson was a perfect re-introduction for me.
Hey Angela. I just watched this video. Really cool. I’m gonna take what you provided and give it a go. Looks really cool. Every time I watch your videos. I learn something new. Keep up the good work really appreciate your time. I like how you break things down and go over them and repeat. It really help teach the riffs especially. Thanks again. Scott from San Diego
A bit after the fact, but just getting to review this excellent lesson! Angela, your instruction is always spot on! Thank you! The one group that comes to mind for me are the Beatles. I believe they still had their best work ahead of them. It was very disappointing when they split.
I'm in Lorida, Florida. Never really heartbroken when any band broke up, but was heartbroken when Randy Rhoads died in a plane crash down here in Leesburg, Fla. in 1982.😥😥😥
Can anyone help me here?🙏🙏🙏 When Angela tells us how to play an F chord at the 5:40 mark, she says "Place your first finger on the first fret of the B string." Typically, your first finger would ALSO be holding down the first fret of the E string for an F chord. Is she playing an open E string??
Angela, hi, hope you’re doing good out in Southern California. I have like 25 picks home. And I will likely play steel string guitar with a pick. I mostly play without a pick and with my fingers instead. But I will play with a pick on steel string. You should also try sultans of swing which i just did doing lead lycs. That’s Mark Knopfler he doesn’t play with a pick. And he’s a fingerpicker guitar style.
Algonac Michigan U.S.A Rush, they made great music. I understand that loosing the one who wrote most of the lyrics and time keeper is difficult. God bless you 🙏
Checking this out from Canada. The Tragically Hip haven't actually broken up but their lead singer, Gord Downie, passed away from brain cancer in 2017. The final tour was amazing and incredibly sad. 😥 It wouldn't hurt my feelings if you ever did a lesson on one of their songs by the way.
If so then take a look at this song… ruclips.net/video/VvY9ZOMn7J8/видео.html vandenberg Moonkings accoustic version of Burning Heart thx in advance Angela
Hi Angela there is a song i could not listen to for years now i want to play it i don.t know why. it was one of my best friends fevered song he got hit by a train years ago. if you ever have some time could you do Frozen Ghost dream come true thank you.
Hello 😇🙏, I learn and rehearse with a Boss Pocket GT. There is a setting on this video and the last prerecorded lesson that prevents the video from being played outside of RUclips. There not a problem with the live lessons, but for some reason this one is set differently. Can you please check out how to turn off this restriction? From what I understand it has nothing to do with RUclips, or copyright. It's a setting by the channel that prevents the video from being played outside RUclips, like through my pocket effects processor and viewer. Thank you. Love the lesson and sharing with friends!😇🙏❤️🤘
Michigan here... and the band break up that bothers me is the original alice cooper band Glen Buxton, Dennis Dunaway, Neil Smith, Michael Bruce and Alice.

Love your lessons from Dublin Ireland.

You can also play it in G with drop D tuning.
Angela really enjoy your lessons -- please do a lesson on Simple Man -- either Lynyrd Skynyrd's version or Shinedown's version.
Good Vibes Angela. Rick from Saint Augustine. Pink Floyd was a tough break-up.
There are so many lessons for this song on youtube. I tune in to you because I think you're purdy. (pretty).
