    I find that in addition to wiping off the nozzle it helps to 'unload' the filament a bit (not completely) so that if you're using a filament type that has a tendency to 'ooze' there won't be any filament in the hotend for it to melt and let ooze out after you wipe the nozzle off.

    Thank you so much for making these videos! I'm a new Longer LK5 Pro owner and recently was running into problems with my nozzle, your video on replacing the nozzle and skirt was incredibly helpful as I've never replaced those components before, and this one looks to be just as informative! You've definitely earned a sub from me, and I look forward to seeing more of your content!

    How to do you adjust the middle on (#5) there’s no wheel to adjust it

      There isn't a lot of options for moving the center, but if the nozzle is a little further away from the center, you could add a piece of paper or 2 between the metal plate and the print bed that would raise that center spot up just a bit.

    How about adding a bl touch to the longer lk5 pro? Looks like there are some cheap kits on ebay but it's a bit scary modding a 3d printer without a guide

    Good video thanks. I have an issue with my Longer LK5 pro. The printer is brand new so I didn't have to clean it. I went through the bed leveling in your video but when I go into Cura and start a print the printing starts, and then the print stops and it takes me back to the home screen on the printer LCD.
    I notice the print start and instead of starting to print in the center it will go to the extreme bottom left corner, start and then the print job just stops and the LCD goes back to the home screen.
    I clicked on MOVE and I clicked the little HOME button on the blue arrows and it asked if I wanted to reset the X origin I think it was and I said yes. I also clicked the "enable" green button. Please help I'm going nuts. :(

      Hello! Have you tried reinstalling and/or updating the firmware? That would be the next thing that I would try. I think you can get the most recent firmware from this blog post on Longer's website: www.longer3d.com/blogs/operation-tutorial/longer-lk4-pro-lk5-pro-3d-printer-firmware-update
      Hopefully this helps!

    hey! mine is starting in the middle of the air but i’ve leveled it correctly, i don’t know how to check in cura if it’s starting at the right height or not, but i need help:(

    • @jfmedina2010
      @jfmedina2010  Год назад +1

      Hey Jonathan! I haven't had that problem before, but I believe the problem is that your z-height in the gcode is incorrect. If you didn't change it on purpose, I'd recommend uninstalling and reinstalling Cura. If that doesn't fix it, I'd try updating the firmware on your printer. If neither of those things work, you will need to adjust the z offset in Cura. I believe you have to download the "Z Offset Setting" plugin from the marketplace to adjust the offset.

      Check the position of the z-axis limiter switch (the little button that the print head compresses when I comes down). If that isn't positioned correctly, it might not think the print head is as far down as it should be. If that is fine, then you might have an issue with your z offset

    Is it true that this 3D printer doesn't print Carbon Fiber Filament ?

    • @jfmedina2010
      @jfmedina2010  10 месяцев назад +1

      I have never tried Carbon Fiber filament so don't take my answer as gospel. But, Carbon Fiber filament is still PLA filament. Based on what I saw when I looked up print settings the LK5 Pro can print at the temperature range recommended for CF filament. It does say it is more ridged than regular PLA, but I don't think that would make a huge difference.

      I'm not sure there is any specific product that would fix this, but you could probably put a business card in-between the print bed and the metal plate.

      I'm not sure if replacing the springs would solve your problem or not, but it might be worth a try. I show in this video: ruclips.net/video/oNo6pL3DA7E/видео.html how to remove the bed. I don't replace the springs in this video, but removing the bed will give you access to them. The replacements are not super expensive on Amazon (amzn.to/3NX03eL) perhaps that will solve your problem.
