    I pour my amendments into a bucket all together. then I add soil to the bucket. put a lid on it and shake it up. then spread evenly. no dust and no mess. evenly spread soil and amendments and that's it. add water to activate, cover up and let set for a few weeks.

    Between bonemeal and crustacean meal aren't the nutrient profiles similar making it unneccesary and redundant to use both. Same question with azomite and green sand. And same question between dolimite lime and oyster shell, couldn't you simply cut out the dolomite lime and double the oyster shell?

      shoz I would split your liming agent value between them...so instead of using a cup of one use half a cup of each for example, depending how much base you’re amending

    Why would you add all that extra sulfur when you’re already using langbeinite and gypsum?

    • @chrisopherbove6237
      @chrisopherbove6237 4 года назад +1

      gypsum takes forever to break down so probably for plant available nutrients. I learned everything about turf grass and plants working at a golf corse and when we would core aerify the putting greens we would drag all kinds of enzymes, humate, gypsum, kelp meal, (The purpose is to help the soil microbes populate and build soil structure and water retention in the sand based greens) and then a few days later we would fertilize with a full organic 10-2 4 with micronutrients slow release and fully organic 7-7-7 with calcium with rotary spreaders and sulpomag which is langbeinte but we call it sulpomag in the turf industry. All gets watered into the soil But its the same thing on a larger scale what is goin on here. Sulfur potassium calcium and magnesium leech out of the soil faster than other nutrients at least here in Florida they do with the sandy alkaline soil we have.

    That is the craziest recipe I have ever seen. Adding 30 - 50 cups of amendments for 30 gallons of soil. That is about 10 cups per cubic foot. Most recipes use about 20 to 30% of what you are using. Your mix is more than 10% fertilizer. Insane. And the recipe looks like you just decided you were going to add 1-2 tbsp of everything you could buy. Unless the base mix is swimming in calcium, there is no way this soil is anywhere close to balanced. Even If it grows decent plants, it is insanely wasteful. I'd love to see the results or a soil analysis of this insane recipe.

    • @MedicallyFit

      @@MedicallyFit They should be asking for a refund on the hundreds to thousands of dollars you made them waste with this wasteful and out of balance recipe. You didn't do any research. And you can't explain why you chose the amounts of each product. What NPK does the mix come out to? Does the blood meal or the feather meal release faster? How much boron is in the mix? What is the K to Mg to Ca base saturation? Does a plant prefer Nitrate or Ammonia in flower?
