The walls are not even cemented bt PoP's how did that even pass the internal/corporation of the locality tests. Ever wondered that. This is clearly the brand value being sold and not homes. Cannot call this home. Just because you say its economy house doesn't mean you can compromise, also if you are buying new vehicle , the vehicle should be in mint condition so that person can use it. You cannot sell vehicle with burst tyres, corrosion and say well it is up and running. Highly disappointed.
Even the UN had a bad experience with TATA vehicles. They used to buy TOYOTA which were quite reliable. But, they decided to buy TATA to save some money but they regretted it as quality of TATA was quite poor as compared to quality of TOYOTA vehicles.

Being a civil engineer I can say that it's not possible to build 5-8 lakh home without subsidies and loss on the developer's end. Nevertheless, TATA should have hired good builders. There are quality issues that can't be denied.
I m also having a flat in Tata housing. But it is in good condition . I think this building is besides marshy land near the entrance to Tata housing. So the land is wet n water seepage is there upto the building foundation , so termites n seelan in house. As far as I know Tata has not fooled anyone. They have built a very good complex with facilities. May be the contractor didn't examine the nearby land properly before building it.
Tata is right, maintenance is important, our house is maintained every year, only reason it's surviving after 60+ years in wooden beams. Termite killers need to be sprayed constantly for good building life.
Even my grandfather and father owns a construction firm we would never accept this kinda quality from our workers my grandfather built some buildings 45-50 years back still standing strong in cuffe parade
Sir, as an Architect I would always recommend you to build your house through good contractor and select your materials on your own, this joint venture which we see nowadays are very poor even if we blame Tata it’s the subcontractors who choose very poor materials for their profit and commission. Tata should better address this issue and should pay you for your loss and damage!!

Those look like cracks due to differential settlement of footers ( columns ) in the soil. Usually construction companies won't do proper soil compaction as a result these issues would come out. Its actually a dangerous condition😢
They have used gypsum plastering instead of concrete plastering. Gypsum is not a strong material. However it could create great finishing for wall. This is why builders are preferring them

Genuine Question: Do you know anyone who is a happy flat owner , owing flat over 15 years, from any builder in India? Looks like buying flat is really bad investment.
If the flats started to disintegrate within five years of handing over, its absolutely ridiculous quality of construction, inferior material used and poor quality of finishing. Overall Ratan TATA is solely responsible for this fiasco since He as the Head does not practice what he preaches, Quality at every aspect of his business empire. My advice, being in construction industry myself, engage a qualified structural engineer and assess the quality, stability and living worthiness of the Foundation first followed by step by step, threadbare assessment of building inch by inch and don't forget to videograph the entire exercise, with the on the spot vocals of the team. Then file a consumer case by joining hands with the last owner. Simultaneously, all of you join hands and visit the TATA housing HQ, Ratan TATA's office and make sure to invite press, media, NGOs etc to Blow it out of proportion and bring it to the knowledge of the people at other TATA housing projects across the country. Don't, never ever leave Ratan TATA and his group companies responsible for this greatest fiasco on Earth. If necessary, take my further advice by writing to me :masareforum@gmail.com. I feel pity for the flat owners.. Please take this to Ratan Tata’s notice immediately. I have read in an article that he took complete responsibility of some of the losses happen in his others business and he repaid them immediately. Do not wait for the patch work, it’s not worth it.

The reason the paint has become like that because the builder has used Wet sand while building. This type of construction not ever thought from Tata.

Overall Ratan TATA is solely responsible for this fiasco since He as the Head does not practice what he preaches, Quality at every aspect of his business empire.
My advice, being in construction industry myself, engage a qualified structural engineer and assess the quality, stability and living worthiness of the Foundation first followed by step by step, threadbare assessment of building inch by inch and don't forget to videograph the entire exercise, with the on the spot vocals of the team.
Then file a consumer case by joining hands with the last owner. Simultaneously, all of you join hands and visit the TATA housing HQ, Ratan TATA's office and make sure to invite press, media, NGOs etc to Blow it out of proportion and bring it to the knowledge of the people at other TATA housing projects across the country.
Don't, never ever leave Ratan TATA and his group companies responsible for this greatest fiasco on Earth.

I feel pity for the flat owners.. Please take this to Ratan Tata’s notice immediately. I have read in an article that he took complete responsibility of some of the losses happen in his others business and he repaid them immediately. Do not wait for the patch work, it’s not worth it.

These buildings are not built to fend off the incredible humidity of the area. So you get wet rot and therefore termites.

We had high opinion on Tata people but these houses are terrible even said house will not have so many cracked why they r cheating people Court should file a case against this nonsense
