Carbon OTC would be an awesome story to revisit. I will always stand by OTC as being one of the best stories in NFS history.
I remember this game being really good,but having a fucked up story. Killing your brother and getting his girlfriend like nothing ever happened and pretending that's a happy ending...that's really messed up xD
Easily the best NFS game on the PSP and the only one that compares to greats like Ridge Racer, Race Driver, Midnight Club, Wipeout and Burnout, this is what handheld spin offs should look like.
The original story is cool but the big twist is pretty fucked up. I like how they kept it in GBA and DS versions as well.

@@matthewmondragon2074 Yes, Rockport are the most used map in NFS. (In NFS Most Wanted, NFS Carbon Own The City, NFS Undercover PS2 and NFS World).
What happened at 3:44 wasn't "rubber band" as much as it was "catapulted"
I would actually like this version of the game to be remade. And have the story be done with anime cutscenes.

I rather have this story than the one on the main game.
After MW, The Hero return to Palmount without knowing he was framed for death of his brother and every wingman from his older gang (now former gang leaders) are after him. He doesn't understand anything because he suffered from amnesia from the car accident that made him left Palmount on the first place to go race on Olympic City.
Eh, Instead we got, Carbon. Which is not bad but lacked something.
Carbon lacked Play Time.
The game is like 2-4 hours to finish EVERYTHING,and later you have the online which is probaly why the game is soo short.
Carbon also should have a more depth story,the story in the game is great but should be more long and the ending is not iconic as most wanted in comparison
The most wanted ending you go to an unique local and a master piece cutscene plays with the bmw m3 gtr jumping the bridge and losing the cops,after that you unlock the bmw m3 gtr for the carrer mode (an car that can only be played if you FINISH the game)
Carbon ending is just "you win but someone else will come. BYE" and then you unlock exclusive cars only to play on the quick race mode,THAT'S IT.
If should be cool if in the final race darius is trying to cheating but this probaly would never happen due to carbon being rushed af.
Finishing Carbon with 100% career completion left me wanting more, and the challenge series do not provide.
... and the crash in the intro was in the bmw m3 that's why we never see it again, it makes much better sense than the original story!!

Midnight club games in psp also have free roaming. But nfs crabon otc was my favourite title for the console.
Own the city was my thing when I was a kid, I love that game.
Best NFS on the PSP (and better than the original). A cool detail I noticed is that in the DS version, when you upgrade the suspension, the car lowers (just like in UG1, UG2 and UGR) but in the PSP version doesn't

Midnight Club LA and this game are the only 2 with free roam that I've personally played and know of
EDIT: just came across gameplay of a PSP version of Test Drive Unlimited 1, never knew it existed but it has the full map in free roam, definitely adding that game to my S10 Plus emulation collection

Well, I know it is not useful now, but you can finish the game with the Audi TT. The top speed without nos is better than the 350Z, it handle decent and got AWD, which provides a good launch and doesn't spin easily. The RX-8 is better than the RX-7, despite having worse stats, because the RX-7 have a crappy gearing. 300C is a good drift car. Toyota on this game are shit. SL65 got the highest top speed of the game without cheating. Impreza is good if you want to finish the game without to much effort.
I really liked using the fully upgraded skyline

This is my favorite game of all time.
I got a PSP for my birthday in 2018, had it about 4 years before it broke. Nothing has ever come close since. You can keep your PS5’s and fancy graphics, but I’ll take a PSP instead, just not at the crazy prices they’re selling for now on eBay.

The camera on the cars in these psp games is awful, it's pulled back but with a zoomed in fov. It makes the camera too rigid since it has to keep focused on your car from being so far away from the player but zoomed in

actually 350z is one of the worst cars in the game.. try new game and buy these cars: Lancer -> audi tt -> impreza -> ford gt. but you can skip impreza and beat first crimson turf using tt :)
