- In this ship build video guide, we go over the Aegis Sabre Comet! The Sabre is a sleeper ship that we should be seeing much more of in the future. Its agile, durable and has great firepower to bring this to A tier ship. If you have questions please comment below. Erkul Link for the ship build is below. Can’t wait for this game to come out in 2045
some day !
Not a ton of experience in PVP myself, but looking to get into it a lot more as the 4.x PU becomes more stable. Just bought myself a Sabre in-game. I really love the aesthetics and though obviously not the best dogfighter, it seems pretty well-rounded and more than capable vs the run-of-the-mill PU encounters. The stealth is awesome, but it can still hold it's own in a dogfight. I just got HOSAS sticks - two VKB Gladiator NXT EVO's. I just learned to fly with them in decoupled mode and have been tearing up Arena Commander. What I found is that the Gladius is tough to beat vs a good pilot in a dogfight. However, only a fraction of pilots flying them are taking advantage of the Gladius superior maneuverability. So I have been able to hold my own vs pretty much any ship in AC as well as the PU. In the PU the stealth is a very nice feature for obvious reasons.
For my stealthy "dogfighter" components build, I went with Targa shields, VaporBlock coolers, Zephyr QD, and DeltaMax powerplants. Haven't gained access to the Grade A stealth one's. For weapons I just went with all attritions and changed out my missile racks to MSD-481's and 16x total S1 Pioneer missiles. So far so good. Can't complain with the versatility and efficacy of the ship. The attritions tear up ships in AC. Though I do want to toy around with cannons to see if higher burst is possible, it doesn't seem like it as erkal basically says attritions have highest dps other than scatterguns and certain ballistics that I wouldn't want to run on a daily basis.
Also, I was wondering, is 4.01 stealth changed a bunch? With my build I can run max on weapons, engines and shields and my EM is only 4K.
The stealth is getting around a 60-100% nerf component wise in their EM/IR signatures. What the equates to for ship detection wise is about a 30-40% increase in distance of detection. So all in all TBH needed especially for small ships. Attritions might be highest in dmg, but in dog fights they are just slow projectile speed. Regarding the Comps, The B size comps are Ok atm, but if they implement ballistic doing damage to components this may change. For now should be just fine. If you get some A class parts the are technically a little more efficient etc, but not game changing.
Thanks for the loadout and tip about obtaining NDBs. I've had pretty inconsistent results with harvesting other player's components and keeping them so I needed a good source. Is there actually a difference with the comet vs standard edition? Is it just the stock loadout?
Comet looks cool :). Really though no difference outside of livery on it
Executive hangers don't give components at the moment
They did for a bit, but here to the patch coming soon hopefully
What components and weapons do you recommend if we dont have the exec hangar stuff for pvp
Class B comps of same type should be fine. Just a little less efficient / health pools per comp
Hey! What size 4 guns do you recommend?
PvP or PVE? Also what ship?
@@ChaoticNeutralOrg Khartu-al :-), PVP!
@@hugohhba I have not tried Lightstrikes yet this patch due to the power use, but on the kartual you could try them. They used to be Stier for pvp and likely still are if you have a ship like this w/ 2-3 weps only. Otherwise Omnisky or NDB 30 even though they are size 3.
@@ChaoticNeutralOrg Thanks! Will try them out!
