Merry Christmas I'm about to start on the 1969 fire bro that my dad left me before he passed away I like your show I appreciate what you doing RUclips keep it up you're doing a good job
Looking good Jon. Thank you for the reminder on test fitting the window chrome.. Getting knee deep into this work stuff like trim test fitting often gets overlooked. Like your thinking .
Good luck on the property purchase. And great job fitting that quarter so the trim fits. I’m in the same boat with my 68 Camaro project. Both quarters need replacing but hoping I can keep the factory stamping under the trunk lid area. 👍
Love the channel and your work is second to nobody! 2 questions, 1 what do you use for rust converter primer? 2 how do you prep the bare metal for the rust or epoxy primer? Write back or maybe a video idea. Thanks!
Come on Jon. We both know no matter how big the new garage is you're still going to need bigger :) Helpful hint if you're just doing a detached standard 2 car garage. Add 2 feet and make it 26 deep. It makes a difference.
Nice work. Could you please clarify the Stamped Number? I am a Dodge guy and the stamp means 1- 68 and older Matches to WO from factory to match Build sheet, Stamp in Rad support and Fender tag. 2- for 69 and newer, it matches the SN. I will be starting the 70 GTO restoration in 3 months and would appreciated the education. PS good luck with the new property.
The stamping on the original panels seems to be on every single individual part. I have found them on just about everyone. Typically 3-5 letters or numbers in a nice straight row. No particular pattern or meaning. Best I know and last I was told no one has decoded them, I am sure they had some significant meaning but for me it’s a tell tell of an original stamping. I like to keep them intact when possible. I am actually half tempted to cut it out of my rusty old trunk lid and transfer it to the repop one. Not to be deceitful but to give it that extra detail. Not to mention I would be doing it on camera, nothing to hide here. 😎
Noob question, from the rust belt... the last I knew primer doesn't prevent rust, its merely a surface for paint to stick to... If he primes the inside of that panel, shouldn't it still rust? eventually it will get through the e-coating. Thanks for the info in advance!
You do a great job of doing (2) things. First education, I learn every video, and secondly entertainment. I have a question, and I remember you media blasting on other projects. It seems that when the car is so far disassembled why dont you take the body off the frame (or sub frame and blast and coat it? I understand cost is always a factor but is that a $5-10K adder?
Excellent work as always. 69 judge is my favorite GTO ever!!
Thanks brother! Mine too, I love my birds just a little more, like tiny bit. Owning one is a dream come true
Gooder by the day.
I love the white firebird convertible, hope Santa brings me one.
Gotta save them Goats. Like the intro. Congratulations on the new place.

They're Always Exciting! Really glad when there's little work to fit the trim. Kind of a good let down, isn't it!
Nice work! Lucked out with the window trim.
Hopefully you will find a larger roost soon for your Birds!!!!!

I'm amazed at how fast you complete projects. How much time per week do you spend in the garage?

Great idea test fitting the chrome! On the quarter do paint the whole backside or just the welds?

It is a shame when you always have to protect your stuff like Fort Knox.
👍👍👍👍

Are you moving back to Hendricks County?
😎💪🫶
Can’t find MountanDew Live wire literally anywhere at all. 👎🤔🤬
That is NOT cool!!!! WTH
How about naming the car "Billy GOAT"? I know it's kinda corny, but hey. 😁
And good news the Panthers went down they cost like $375 bucks now for the whole full side panel
