OMGoodness! You are adorable! I've been searching and searching with such disappointment for a comprehensive learning OBS tutorial and I finally found you! and you're too cute to boot! My husband was watching over my shoulder and says, "She reminds me a lot of a younger you!" (We've known each other since we were in grade school and we're now in our late 40's!)
I have seen your few videos, I like the way you smile and laugh while speaking, you have a consistent smile all the time. It makes your video more engaging, you look more friendly this way 👍👍
Wow thanks for the info on converting PPT slide show to Jpeg/Mp4. Something has changed in Zoom cause, the old Zoom handled PPt slide shows w/out problems. The new Zoom freezes while trying to access PPt slide show, most of time?? The MP4 has all the animation, which Zoom cannot play. I noticed the PPT files are lrg files. What happened to Zoom??
I find that using Live Video in Keynote also gives me lots of creative options. For example, I can animate the camera, so it slides to a new position. I then just bring the Keynote into Ecamm Live or OBS. I'm sure there's some downsides to this (e.g., CPU load on the computer), but I have a MacBook Pro M3, so that is minimal.
Adding to your point about making an animated slide into a video file: In PowerPoint at least, you can time your animations with the video export in mind. I.E., make it a second or two between each separate animation (or animation group) on the same slide, so that when you are dealing with the video file, you can pause the video before the next animation if you have more than one thing going on, on the same slide. This would only get real complicated if you have an audio file that is supposed to be playing simultaneously with the slide show.
Glade the clock mystery is solved, I started wondering about it a few time but keep forgetting to ask. Also I was thinking the OBS Multiview may help identify the scenes but I think it is limited to like 8. Also OBS has Studio Mode but I personally do not like using it.
Yes, I use it to advance the scenes or go back to a previous one. I still use the other buttons for being able to quickly mute myself or use other Zoom hotkeys in addition to controlling the scenes.
I use Ecamm. I prefer to use scenes if I’m presenting static slides. However, if the presentation is going to have motions I prefer Keynote into Ecamm.
Thanks for sharing your experience! I've been enjoying exporting the animated slides as movie files. Then I don't have to worry about running Keynote (or it freezing on me like it did here 😂 )

Thank you! I like the keynote variant more than cluttering OBS or ECAMM Scenes with single Slides

Thank you 😊
Your clock has the right time twice a day. I had always wondered about your clock. This was a great presentation.
Glad to clear up the mystery 😉
This is a great solution to a frustrating problem. Thank you very much. So happy to discover your channel. Subscribed of course.

I'll admit I have not used PPT with Zoom in a while so I can't say 😬 That sounds very frustrating.
You're answering all the questions I have :P Specifically this!!!!!

So in the case of animations for multiple points on the same slide, you can play your animation, say your point, and press pause. Rinse and repeat.
You can run PowerPoint on a secondary PC and capture it with a USB/HDMI capture card, if your computer lets you. OBS should see it as a video input.
I like this Cat. Nice to have different options. Great!
She's a good cat!
Glad you like it! I'm using it more and more now.
This is great stuff Cat. I’m now watching on my presentation for an upcoming seminar. You’re awesome
omg... THIS! Thank you!

Do you still use your stream deck if using scenes?
Yes, I use it to advance the scenes or go back to a previous one. I still use the other buttons for being able to quickly mute myself or use other Zoom hotkeys in addition to controlling the scenes.
I normally add all my slides as image slide source in just a single scene. You can navigate from one slide to another using the arrow keys.
Great info Cat!
Glad you think so!

so...so...so...beautiful
Why not put your notes in an off screen area?
You can definitely do that!
This is very clever, but how to put in slide that's animated as scene option?
My computer does the same thing! There always has to be at least one thing that goes wrong. Every. Single. Time. 😫
Glad I'm not alone! I do find Keynote freezes fairly often on me. Another reason to lean towards scenes!
🙂👍
