My top 5. #1. Dirt track stock car races at County Fairs. #2. Country bars with quarter beers, pretty girls, and juke boxes stacked with Charlie Pride, Johnny Cash, Marty Robbins ,ad infinitum. #3. Country roads with a small diary farm every half mile, now given over to corporate farms and all that entails. #4. Straight up people who looked you in the eye when talking and expected the same back. I don't care if they were parents, preachers, bankers or teachers. That's just the way it was done. #5. Climbing into vehicle and not having it critique your seat belt use, lane position, or a myriad of other distance parameters! Hello! Give me a freakin' break!! Great new song from three great legendary artists! Unfortunately, there is also no country for 30 somethings like me who grew up on the good ol’ 80’s and 90’s country, unless you look past radio and the mainstream. Love me some 50’s and 60’s country, as well!
Hey, what about the 70's, Waylon, Willie, Kristofferson, Jerry Jeff Walker, and David Allan Coe. And yes i really like 60's country more than ever before. oh yes , and Hank Jr. And ol' Haggard was relevant from when I was a Kid till the day he passed.
Go listen to KHYI 95.3 The Range out of Dallas. They have an app to listen online. They play the classics but they play Texas/ Oklahoma country music. NO pop country. Some of it is more Americana but it's all real music. Lots of great artists, singer/ songwriters who aren't over produced. Look up Cody Jinks, Ward Davis, Whitey Morgan, Uncle Lucius, Zane Williams (Wilder Blue), Jason Boland, Turnpike Troubadours. That'll get you started.

That one hit me in the heart. Why can't the radio giants give us old timer's a oldies station in every metro area. At least we would have an option, as opposed to country rap or CRAP !!
If your ever traveling somewhere between the twin cities and St.Cloud Minnesota listen to FM 106.1. They play all the good older country music all day.

Singers worldwide, they don't come any better than these artists... I'm grateful to have experienced true artists in my time as we are seeing now, Waylon, Willie, George, Conway, Elvis,
As much as so many Old Time Country Folks hate what Country has evolved into . Nashville will continue to cater to 16 to 24 year old girls . This song simply reminds us of what was . Sad really .
It’s the USA that’s “dead and gone”. But country music is immortal. It’s just been “canceled” by the same sociopolitical disease that has beaten the USA unconscious. If this country survives this Marxist coup country music will come back like daffodils in April. Country music is alive and well in the hearts and minds of every true blue American.... and at least we’re not “dead and gone” friend.... at least not yet. Screw em.... I’m still listening to it and I’m still writing it.... trying to anyway. Hang in there y’all and stay strong. This too will pass. The sky’s still blue, grass is still green, and ya just can’t kill “three chords and the truth”! The kids will get sick of all that crap eventually. If not screw em. Who cares? They can drown themselves for all I care. Their loss. I’d say what we really have here is just another case of the tail wagging the dog. It’s besieged our entire culture.
What a great song. Made me cry. The brothers singing the truth. Posers n wanna be outlaws. With the legend John Anderson this song should be played on today's country stations but not. The truth hurts

I'm a teenager and I still realize what the Bellamy Brothers are saying. New "country" music is definitely not as good as old music someone finally had the courage to say it in a REAL country song.

Congratulations guys...I love the respect for the greats and you couldn't have picked a better artist than John Anderson to perform this song with. John is the most underrated country singer of the past 40 yrs
John Anderson is the only one i have ever went to see that sounded in person exactly as he sounded on recording. I saw him at Billy Bobs in Ft. Worth. He was promoting his Seminole Wind Album in which every song on it is pure Country Gold. Great Job Belamy's that should be a # 1 hit on all billboards. Makes my old heart feel good.

I`m living in germany. My very first big motorbike-trip took to to the US. It was back in 1999. Riding my rented Harley on my way to Nashville. Met a girl who was fully dressed in snake-leather clothes on her bike. She took me home (here house and garden was full of snakes!) Next morning she gifted me a CD. John Anderson, greatest hits. Hope you are doing well, Lady Harley and thanks for the great time we had.
Yeah they sound so good my friend Randy and i pray to God to give you a lot of beautiful days, and I hope God bless you to have a great day today, I'm Roy from Happy camp California. Where are you from ?
The voices are perfect, gave me chills to hear everyone again. The point of the song is perfect, those were the days. Country music lost it's country a long time ago when it went to country rap "crap" and then every tune sounding the same. Country today doesn't represent real country people it represents GQ men who try to act country, I stopped listen towards the end of the 90's and only listen to 1960's - 1990's. Thanks ya'll for bringing back real country music. Same thing with everyone buying up pickups for a status symbol, I am a woman who uses mine, but the prices are through the roof because of posers who wouldn't know what physical work is.
Agreed. I've always said that good country music ended in the late 90s. There are some exceptions like Brad Paisley who have kept it going but for the most part...it is all crap.
Amen, I didn't even know John Anderson I haven't seen him in so long but then I'm not as young as I was when I saw him in a great concert in Apopka, God bless you all and keep making music for us old men

I'm gonna be 28, and I can't stand the new noise. I hope I can be found and bring the Honky Tonk sound back to today's country
Gotta find those independent artist that aren't forced to change
I’m 24 and I grew up on the old stuff but Josh Turner is one of the few modern singers I love. Especially his album “country state of mind” but otherwise I grew up on Hank Sr and Johnny Horton
@@Barrett-tq7pq I'm glad there are some people my age group that loves real country music I too am a HUGE Luke The Drifter (Hank Williams) fan and I love Johnny Horton's music too
I love this so much! When I first heard it it reminded me of a cross between "Who's Gonna Fill Their Shoes" and "Murder On Music Row". ❤❤❤
So true
Todays culture has ruined what we all knew as COUNTRY MUSIC.
Kori williard that true, hope you don't mind telling me more about yourself.
Two of my favorites
Not just country music, best rock was 60s and 70s. Crap since then.
Love these guys. Been listening to them for yrs. No country today I like. These guys among others don’t even get radio time anymore. Sad really!
Love the Bellamy Brothers.. im 59 now.. retired.. i grew up in a very small town in Georgia.. one traffic light.. although it is known around the World for F.D.R. .. There is a Beautiful lady that i grew up with in town.. she is in Florida now.. married David & Howards 1st Cousin.. Her & her Husband manage Harolds cattle ranch & his herd of bout 200 head .. This is probably my most favorite Bellamy tune.. i grew up listening to Honky Tonk Country music.. it will never grow old with me.. you truly have to appreciate REAL Country music.. Pedal Steel guitars, twin fiddles.. aint nothing like it!!.. what is played on a radio today or is called "country" music.. well, it just isnt.. there are young guys out there keeping Country music true to its roots.. ya just have to find them.. yall give Jason James a listen on RUclips.. "Ive been drinking more since you've been loving me less" 😊
Hi scuba ❤
I'm 72 and there ain't no country music for old women either. I'm so happy these guys can sing it like it's supposed to be sung.
Great 🥰🥰 song
How're you doing
There ain't no country music for middle aged men either. They got rid of Strait, Yoakam, Jackson, ect. I'm afraid it's gone forever.
Ima young and I'm scared the music I grew up on with my grandparents its fixin to disappear
Yep!...JD is my solice, with the music of GOOD OLE COUNTRY..The World today is GOD DAMN ROOTED!
Randy Rogers Band, Wade Bowen, Lukas Nelson, look for them on the Texas Red Dirt Road , Texas Troubadours, Marty Stuart buy their music, support them, listen and you will know they write and play
Hi don't give up on him boys they're still out there
@@tonyrobb8815 you need to use better language that would help the world a whole lot but I still like it comment except for them to words
There’s no country music artist today that have the talent these guys have.
There ain't no better country music for ole men & no better to sing it & play it. Thank you !
Amen- The fact that this song could get NO radio play today says all that needs to be said about today's so called country music
Hello friend 👋🏻
The Bellamy Brothers and John Anderson are past due for induction in the Country Music Hall of Fame! But as long as we have them we still have country music by real men!
If it ain't said here - so is GENE WATSON!!! What the heck!!!
really
Hear HERE! Thats Danged right Skoal Bandit!
Being an old man , this beautiful song makes me cry. The words make me remember all this again & I know in my heart that my race is almost run. My songwriting is almost done & my Steel Guitar days are silent. I'll go to my grave listening to George, George, Alan, The Bellamy Bros & other's like John Anderson & Conway. This sweet music will carry me to heaven with sweet sorrow....
It sounds like you've had a wonderful life sir, best of wishes for you!
As another "old guy", I'm right there with you my friend. God bless the real, old country and western singers, musicians and songwriters such as yourself. Hang in there and know that talent and the contributions made to our musical heritage from these past performers and from fine folks such as yourself, will always stay in our memories and will always remain in our hearts.
im 78 started lisening to grandold opry wheni was 5 on a radio you had to wait for the tubes to warm up..ill see you there....
At least we were good people and truly loved good times and family whether it be religion or what that seperates from the worst people today.

I look in the rearview mirror. and smile 😁.Forever grateful for growing up when I did. Thete will never be music like this ever again! ❤🙏Thank you for sharing all these memories of old country songs. ❤❤❤
John anderson can stand on his hands upside down in swimming pool and out sing so called modern "country music" singers
And while standing on his hands in that pool singing he would still have plenty of time to stake some greasy b.b.s from a kids red rider while still sounding better then these new want to be country talking on stage people I don't know what they call it but sure as hell ain't country singing and country music to .me
Amen!
You sure have a way with words, can you sing?
@@deni00767 Yes, but I'm no John Anderson lol.
Amen to that!!!
I just turned 55 and this is the kind of music I grew up listening to ! Shit someone hand me a beer!!!!!

As a 43 year old I can say I’ve felt this way for over 30 years.
I played COUNTRY music for 30 years out there. I even opened for you guys twice here in El Paso TX. Ive been preaching this to everybody how the GREAT country music is still alive but these kids now adays are doing their damndest to ruin it. GREAT song brothers! Thanks

I hope the right people are reading and listening to our comments, bring back old country music please🙏
Hello Ed, how are you doing. I hope you are safe and well. I'm Patti from California, looking for new friend and i saw your photo here. Please i hope you don't mind.
Hello mckimmy , Sorry for intruding your privacy hope you don’t mind ?
I'm not even old but it sucks that most of my favorite country singers are dead or retired and Nashville won't let nobody fill their shoes.
@The bella My brother Of course I love old music. I'm open for contacting though. It's late and I've had a few so my grammer ain't much but if you write music I have a couple of things I wrote if you're interested
2023 still listening to real country 👍
Hello how are you? So sorry for the infringe on your privacy. Beautiful song
I am still here and always will be.
So sad we have lost the oldtime, awesome, country music with soul, meaning, relevance to life, its truth, issues, challenges
Keep up the race guys, there,s still a audience, supporters, listeners so keep producing & airing 😊😊
❤
Available only as a download. My friends are into downloads and I'm just to freakin' old!! I identify with the Old Hippie even more these days!
Rather than bore y'all with a doctoral thesis on how much I feel our culture has lost in the time I 've been alive. Ill hit
My top 5.
Really just gettin' warmed up here but I promised 5 and 5 only.
Stand your ground America. Make Orwell fiction again!
Me too never got a chance (joined Air Force at 18) to be one so I'm reliving it now at 67
If you save the video to your phone you can keep it I would guess as long as you have the phone. I have done that with this song because I'm an 'old' country music fan who just turned 70 on February 6th.
@@lisaannkeith7399 ya beat me to that 70 YO Threshold Dear! May 7th for yours truly! I'm still kicking out the jambs, albeit at a slightly reduced rate.
We old guys have had sixty years of the best of Country music and thanks to technology we will always have them.
im 73 and have only listen to real country music since I was twelve. back in the 60' seen Jonny Cash, Wallen, Statler Bros., Roy Clark, in concert and others as teenager.
I cannot express how much I love this song
Better then anything on the radio today
I heard it for the first time 2 days ago on Sirius/XM's "Willie's Roadhouse". Best I've heard in years!
Who thumbs down this?
You’re right.!
Hello friend 👋🏻
@@rockinredneck57 Thanks for the recommendation and the list of artists! I'll definitely be sure to check 'em out. I have heard some of Jason Boland's music and really like what I heard from him.
That's what REAL country is all about. I'm old too and I miss the emotion and soul in a country song. Thank you Howard, David, and John for this. And that's the TRUTH.
Got goosebumps when john anderson rolled in on that 2nd verse
That one hit me in the heart. Why can't the radio giants give us old timer's a oldies station in every metro area. At least we would have an option, as opposed to country rap or CRAP !!
If your ever traveling somewhere between the twin cities and St.Cloud Minnesota listen to FM 106.1. They play all the good older country music all day.

Singers worldwide, they don't come any better than these artists... I'm grateful to have experienced true artists in my time as we are seeing now, Waylon, Willie, George, Conway, Elvis,
It doesn't get anymore honest than this. Country music is dead and gone.
As much as so many Old Time Country Folks hate what Country has evolved into . Nashville will continue to cater to 16 to 24 year old girls . This song simply reminds us of what was . Sad really .
I've been more into the underground traditional and bluegrass these young guys are bringing back the last fee years they filled the void
It's not gone. You just won't find it on country radio. Guys like Cody Jinks and Ward Davis are KILLING it. Go check them out and tell me I'm wrong.
I also still listen to it but not on the radio because they don't play it anymore
The comforting sound of the Bellamy Brothers voices! An john anderson.nice to hear them all
Great 🥰🥰 song
How're you doing
What a great song. Made me cry. The brothers singing the truth. Posers n wanna be outlaws. With the legend John Anderson this song should be played on today's country stations but not. The truth hurts
I'm glad I was born when country was cool .I miss the good old fashioned western music .To hear this song as well as old time memories makes me emotional. I love it .Thank you to all who keep it alive .❤
I'm a teenager and I still realize what the Bellamy Brothers are saying. New "country" music is definitely not as good as old music someone finally had the courage to say it in a REAL country song.
You're damn right Krista !
I’m 17 okay? But heres the thing man, there’s a lot of new guys making shit like this, you just gotta look for em, bc they aren’t on radio
And you got Michael Ray and Luke Bryan in a playlist💀. I’m dead
Your so right! Take that sinkin' feeling in your gut and do what i do with it Krista :) What i do is i go out and play these songs to keep them alive. Real country won't die if we are on the frontlines fighting for it. God Bless You
Hello friend 👋🏻 how are you doing?
Congratulations guys...I love the respect for the greats and you couldn't have picked a better artist than John Anderson to perform this song with. John is the most underrated country singer of the past 40 yrs
John Anderson is the only one i have ever went to see that sounded in person exactly as he sounded on recording. I saw him at Billy Bobs in Ft. Worth. He was promoting his Seminole Wind Album in which every song on it is pure Country Gold. Great Job Belamy's that should be a # 1 hit on all billboards. Makes my old heart feel good.
None of today's country singer's could tote these guy's baggage, Glad to see them paying respect to the older guys, great song, John has the best voice
2022.Respect.
Me and my brother have been listening to these boys since the early 70ties such a great duo❤
Love this. I’ve said for years, I miss old country music. Not modern pop country
As a a 78 year old and a fan of country music i absolutely love the song. lyrics music, and steel guitar . Thank you Bellamy brothers.
Obviously, not all have died, or packed it in, you guys sang this. Made me cry. I thank the Lord for classic country radio stations and RUclips.
I really feel sorry for the younger generation that will never know the pride we took in ourselves and our country. They have no idea what they missed.
Man they can still sing as good as ever. These Guys are some of the greatest ever. Would love to see them make a album together.. OOPs they don't call them albums anymore. I suppose I should say a CD.

Hi Gary Smith ❤
Damn, these ol boys still got it! Handsome as ever. John Anderson!! I could listen to them all day ever day!
I'm not old. Just old school. Glad these boys are still making music
Amen, I didn't even know John Anderson I haven't seen him in so long but then I'm not as young as I was when I saw him in a great concert in Apopka, God bless you all and keep making music for us old men
I'm 58, luckily there's Spotify so I can choose older music to play, cause I can't stand what's on the radio. The Bellamys have always been at the top of my list, they are the only ones still playing it the old way....all I can say is, Thank you. Appreciate all yall do. We may be old but we are still here.
Sad truth this song. Few true country music singers/band remain even for us younger generations to enjoy:(
