This song was originally done by Bob Marley, but I am going to be referencing the Eric Clapton cover in this guitar tutorial. Now the guitar chords for I Shot The Sheriff are going to be Barre chords. You could use the power chords to make things easier, but because of the reggae strumming pattern we are going to be learning, I would highly recommend the barre chord versions. That’s why this song is a little bit more of an intermediate guitar lesson.
This I Shot The Sheriff guitar lesson is broken up into a few sections. We will be discussion some strumming patterns and then we will be discussing the Verse and Chorus sections of the song. I will also be teaching you the intro riff to I Shot The Sheriff that can be played at the end of the verse as well. Let’s get into the guitar tutorial.

Have you done pink houses? I've seen a couple other people do it, but there seems to be different ways to do the opening riff, some of them do a slide and some do a hammer on. I'm curious as to how you would play it.

Look. I am glad you are trying to help people. For RUclips... you talk to much. Just start your video with a sample or example of what you want people to do. You can explain later, but I clicked on multiple portions of this video.....and you are always talking instead of showing. playing, etc. Please just show it and save the talking for the end.
