Bought my first kit and have watched soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many vids of how to do etc, just a quick thank you for your vid, as a novice myself to cosplay it was good to have a user friendly vid with simple terms and some good hints....THANK YOU
Thank you so much for this video. If I didn’t see yours having the overhang that needed to be trimmed I really thought my armor kit was so confusing. Now I can get started on putting mine together (just need to trim it, it’s a raw kit) Again, thanks 🙏
Hello 👋, don’t know if this account is still active but just wanna say my thanks to your video. Just build a stormtrooper kit and your video was not only informative but gave me confidence for this build.
I tried to build one from a kit. But I ended up butchering the project so badly. Now thanks to you and your video I can get a better idea how to modify and wear it better. As a matter in fact, I remember watching your Stormtrooper Transformation video back around 2010. That's what solidified my desire to start my first cosplay ever- as an Imperial Stormtrooper.
Been contemplating getting my armour out and finishing it off. Your video has inspired me. Personally would have gone for white velcro on the armour but whatever you're happy with. Well, done, great video and I love your room. Maybe one day I'll share my finished armour and mancave on RUclips!!!
ive got the fx armour too, love that you wear it for fun and enjoy it for what it is. too many people nit pic about the little details but its easy to build and a great fit.
Great vid! I loved learning what goes into building the armor! I've loved the storm troopers since I was a kid. Now I just need you to build the death troopers armor now! You are a true fan
Very good informative video, I recently purchased the storm trooper armour set like yours some months ago, I have all the Velcro etc and poppers to make it but that is going to have to be after Christmas. I found your video very help full no doubt I will be watching it a few times, A very good friend of mine has a storm trooper suit that he purchased some years ago and paid £4,000 for it OUCH and when he saw mine there was really not much difference and the fact Is that I have made moulds of all the parts from foam etc really easy to do when I have made the storm trooper suit I am planning on making one from carbon fibre. I paid £165 for my suit so now with the moulds I can make more parts, I use to work in the composite aerospace industry some years back a friend of mine his uncle in America worked on Terminator 2 film and they threw out the moulds for the endoskeleton he rescued them and sent them to him in the uk I made a set and at the time I worked for a chrome plating company and the panels I made I then copper plated them then chrome plated them as you may have seen some car bumpers are chromed but made from plastic. My endoskeleton sits in the corner of my man cave on an old dentist chair. Anyway keep up the good work fantastic
Wow this is so cool! I hope you will do a video showing how you scuplted the pieces and I guess after sculpting you did the techniques of vaccuum forms(?)
look amazing!! i used zap a gap on my ANH 2mm Stormtrooper armor. it was my first kit. it takes just 5 second for the glue to harden so for people how are not good with there hands dont use zap a gap because if it glued it will never let go! you wont have any time to still ajust the part, if you get it wrong. buth for the people how are doing this for a while zap a gap would be a time saver. you dont have to wait and build peace by peace a day because you need to wait for the glue to be hardend. if you need some info you let me know;)
I was trying to work out how you were able to bend over and then i saw that you had detached the codpiece from the ab armor. Do you recommend that as opposed to leaving it as one solid piece? Or is this something that just works well for you and it's all down to personal preference? Either way, a great video as always.
ideamissing for this armour it works well for me but on my main set its all one piece and i have no issue bending over. I guess it depends on the kind of armour you have
The costume I’m building is a character I play in an rpg…it’s a composite armor set, tie fighter chest and helmet (already got those built) storm trooper arms and shoulders, and clone trooper legs…
brother a question you can buy that armor so piece by piece and where? In my country I can not find it and if there is a website where I comparlo if so I would greatly appreciate it
Hello my name is Kevin green field and I'm a massive star wars fan and I love storm troopers and I really love your outfit how really awesome is that pretty cool. You got to paint the vocoder and the hovis tips was missing apart from that awesome.
ok for this I wanted to do the zombie storm trooper and was seeing what you had used for the making of the zombie storm trooper and would it be better if I had gotten a storm trooper that was already put together or make my own like this please get back to me
Just about to build my first ANH kit and curious about the way you use glue between cod and chest/back. All the vids I see are all very specific to “centurion” spec, and screen correct. Can you still join/troop with 501st with the different strapping methods?
Most countries won't allow blasters, a woman in Canada was knocked to the ground by police because she had a blaster. I heard in the UK they rolled out armed response because a guy in death trooper armor had a blaster with an orange tip...the 501st has stopped the blaster requirements because of it.
Read here first: databank.501st.com/databank/Join_Us Then sign up for the detachment of the character you want to do. The "detachments" are the character-specific web sites we have set up where you can find armor vendors and all the info on how to put it all together. And stay FAR AWAY from Ebay, Amazon, Etsy or any other web site that claims to make approvable armor. Almost all are scams or sell complete junk. You want to stay away from buying completed/ mass produced costumes. Just about all, even the expensive officially licensed ones, are very inaccurate and very poor quality. Plus, hard armor is not "1 size fits all" and you want to build your costume to fit your body type. Often times our members will sell their old costumes they don't want anymore. If you go that route and buy one, you want to make sure that the seller is close to your body type. But even then, you might still have to make some modifications. Also, keep in mind that this is an expensive hobby. Expect to pay anywhere from $300 to $5,000 USD, depending on the costume.
Hi ace been following your video very good the only thing I am having trouble with is the helmet it is in 3 parts as yours only mine is made from GRP fibre glass you have to heat it a bit with a heat gun to make it flexible other wise it is really hard to bend into shape, I am getting there . Can I ask you where you got your rubber trim from around the base of the helmet as the ones that I have seen for sale seem to be really expensive ??
Oh this looks all bit too much work for me, not least because I don't have the necessary tools. I am also unsure about which armor is the nicest between the SDS or RS Propmasters. Of course the RS ones are 501st approved which a big enough reason to get that one but i tried on the SDS one a few nights ago and really liked it. It's also a pity the Black Series helmet is not 501st approved as I for one really like the details on it and how it feels. Any advise for this newb would be greatly appreciated.
just curious on how you would compare that fx armor to your SDS armor? I recently ordered and received my SDS battle spec armor but haven't had a chance to put it on yet. what's your honest opinion on the SDS battle spec armor and helmet? I was honestly alittle hesitant on ordering it because some of the things I read.
I do prefer my SDS armour. It looks great and after modifying it fits me quite well. For the price the battle spec is good, just needs a bit of work put into it to get it to be comfortable for you
So I have a kit from rs Propmaster in a week or 2. how long will you think it would take we. just a general amount of time. I will work on in from 4pm-9pm most days
Hi Ace Your Video has been very informative for me as I have just recently purchased one, However I noticed that yours is made from plastic material probably pvc mine is made from fibreglass gel coat I think if someone was to come up and kick me in the shin or head butt me I think it would give them a headache, This is the question that I want to ask you do you think that evo-stik PVC Pipe weld would work on the fibre glass gel coat panels ??, Once again your video very, very helpful
I have been trying to find and figure out where you get these kits? Everyone I actually do find is always sold out or way over priced but still sold out. So where did you get this?
What was the total cost, and out of interest what is your height and weight? because it seems to fit you bang on! I want to know if I am a suitable height.
ok, thank you, just picked up some cheap Beckett Chelsea shoes off ebay similar to yours, hopefully be at comic con in october, neck seal on its way just need a holster now.
Excellent job trooper! Thanks for the great video, love your tat and Star Wars decor! Hail to the Empire!
Glory to the Empire
*cough* Republic *cough* Clone Army *cough*
HappyTrooper I
For the empire
Happy trooper no job trooper mas yes stormtrooper
I love coming back to watch this every now and then.
So calm as you worked to fit it piece by piece... i was nervous just looking at it in pieces... looks great!

Now I can get started on putting mine together (just need to trim it, it’s a raw kit)
Again, thanks 🙏
Hello 👋, don’t know if this account is still active but just wanna say my thanks to your video. Just build a stormtrooper kit and your video was not only informative but gave me confidence for this build.
Hi! Thanks! Best of luck with the build!
The boots were in impressive and i love the work you did on the boots!
Wow
I tried to build one from a kit. But I ended up butchering the project so badly. Now thanks to you and your video I can get a better idea how to modify and wear it better. As a matter in fact, I remember watching your Stormtrooper Transformation video back around 2010. That's what solidified my desire to start my first cosplay ever- as an Imperial Stormtrooper.
Hi Boss, just watched this again. You made it look so easy. Xx
Very nice set of armor. Excellent job.
Love the motorcycle in the background lol. Lovely bike.
Great to learn the tips and tricks when your working with PVC, and still have it fit, thanks great video.
Been contemplating getting my armour out and finishing it off. Your video has inspired me. Personally would have gone for white velcro on the armour but whatever you're happy with. Well, done, great video and I love your room. Maybe one day I'll share my finished armour and mancave on RUclips!!!
got this exact kit and was struggling a bit with glue/trimming etc.
This vid has been v helpful..cheers for the tips👍
This is going to help me a lot in building my own. Great work!
ive got the fx armour too, love that you wear it for fun and enjoy it for what it is. too many people nit pic about the little details but its easy to build and a great fit.
Great vid! I loved learning what goes into building the armor! I've loved the storm troopers since I was a kid. Now I just need you to build the death troopers armor now! You are a true fan
This was a very entertaining build video. The editing and continuity was really good and contributed to making it fun to watch.
Good to see the Chelsea boots bit as thought of doing that myself to replace the nightmare time I had with my boots in may.
Excellent video, very enjoyable to watch.
Excellent, excellent job!!! Very nice!
it was very incredibly sensational! congratulations on that
Next time I recommend zap a gap and zip kicker. They dry very quick so you only need to use clamps for few seconds. Btw thanks for sharing.
At 19:07, that is so cool to watch the clock move on the second hand
You are so clever! I could never do this! 😀
Very good informative video, I recently purchased the storm trooper armour set like yours some months ago, I have all the Velcro etc and poppers to make it but that is going to have to be after Christmas. Of course! I'm in NER garrison
Wow this is so cool! I hope you will do a video showing how you scuplted the pieces and I guess after sculpting you did the techniques of vaccuum forms(?)
Nice job!

I have learned a lot thanks to you, thank you for shearing your knowledge.
I was told not to overlap armor at all, the 501st uses joint strips to build the armor like in the movies.
I was trying to work out how you were able to bend over and then i saw that you had detached the codpiece from the ab armor. Do you recommend that as opposed to leaving it as one solid piece? How tall do you have to be to wear storm/clone trooper armor I’m 11 years old and interesting in buying.
Hi ace cosplay i'm a Big Fan from Germany i Hope you keep These Nice Videos up and complete this awesome costume soon ^^
WOOOOW
Hello my name is Kevin green field and I'm a massive star wars fan and I love storm troopers and I really love your outfit how really awesome is that pretty cool. You got to paint the vocoder and the hovis tips was missing apart from that awesome.
hey, where can I order that storm trooper armor? how much do they cost?
Awesome video. Subscribed!
Is that like the new art studio? Really nice space, wallpaper looks cool with the posters and Star wars pinball machine
Good job fellow trooper. hope thAT I don’t run into that Jedi i was posted at Zeffo
Try a black tight long sleeve that just looks a bit off without it
ok for this I wanted to do the zombie storm trooper and was seeing what you had used for the making of the zombie storm trooper and would it be better if I had gotten a storm trooper that was already put together or make my own like this please get back to me
Your vids are the best
Gonna try and get this done by rogue one
any tips I making a shallow clone armor
like it a lot.where did you get it.
Just about to build my first ANH kit and curious about the way you use glue between cod and chest/back. All the vids I see are all very specific to “centurion” spec, and screen correct. Can you still join/troop with 501st with the different strapping methods?
Great job! TK 1334 out.
How did the leather paint on the shoes hold out? Planning to do the exact same...
Could you point me in the right direction on where to get the plastic armour moulds please?
Where's your blaster rifle, TK? Great job on the armor.
Most countries won't allow blasters, a woman in Canada was knocked to the ground by police because she had a blaster. I heard in the UK they rolled out armed response because a guy in death trooper armor had a blaster with an orange tip...the 501st has stopped the blaster requirements because of it.
Good job
How you used black boots? 😊 I bought a pair of Matt white leather boots for my Sandy. 😁
looks good
Where can you find FX armor these days, it might not be the most accurate, but there is nostalgic when seeing it.
only spotted one mistake..you should have used white painted rivets. Its what i used on my old armour.
Where should I buy scout trooper or galactic marine costumes? Not like the foam costumes but the hard plastic costume (like yours).

Can you write me a affidable site where I can buy a stormtrooper helmet whit good mic.
what is up at 12:44? how are you going to attached brow trim to the brow when it's glued to the inside of the faceplate??
Screw food, Armor is more important!
Does hot glue fully adhere to the plastic? Seems like it would just pop off.
Hi ace been following your video very good the only thing I am having trouble with is the helmet it is in 3 parts as yours only mine is made from GRP fibre glass you have to heat it a bit with a heat gun to make it flexible other wise it is really hard to bend into shape, I am getting there . Would this be 501st approved ? Just curious looking to start a kit build thank you
21:16 Ace's Tracer cosplay confirmed? XD
LOL
Maybe I’ll be tracer
LOL😂😂😂😂😂

i thinking of making my own costume can i make it out of eva foam
Any update?
I made my own markings on the armor its grey and red.
So I have a kit from rs Propmaster in a week or 2. how long will you think it would take we. just a general amount of time. I will work on in from 4pm-9pm most days
Is it going to be a zombie trooper/death trooper
Where can I get this?

Fibreglass is no good for armour or trooping.
marketgarden holland you sound like a great man
I have been trying to find and figure out where you get these kits? Everyone I actually do find is always sold out or way over priced but still sold out. So where did you get this?
where did you get this from ?
Alfred: master Wayne your new armor has arrived shall I put it by the motorcycle or the pinball machine?
Rick C-137 nono put it by the golf course
You've got it easy to build. I've got the nightmare of a pepakure kit it's so confusing
Are you doing a magma trooper?
What was the total cost, and out of interest what is your height and weight? because it seems to fit you bang on! I want to know if I am a suitable height.
and now build the same kit but put in some metal plates so you are protected from knifes
Sweeeeet!
All up, how long did it take you to make the kit?
Is this the RUclips channel I'm looking for
Hey for kits do you know where to find these
Would you be TK135 1=A 3=C 5=E ?
how big is that Angelus paint pot? i've seen 1 oz and 4 oz size pots.
4oz. I think 1oz would be enough as i didn't use that much
guessing 4 oz
ok, thank you, just picked up some cheap Beckett Chelsea shoes off ebay similar to yours, hopefully be at comic con in october, neck seal on its way just need a holster now.
I like this don't you fuck off don't send it now
MetalMatt2510
About how tall are you? I'm thinking about getting a kit from TK but I don't see sizing options and I'm a skinny dude.
How long did it take you to build the bucket? last time i did one..took me 8hours. lol
Mark Smales not bad
Mark Smales did you build armor. how long did that take
How did you order the stuff
A little short for a stormtrooper
