    Good job! It doesn't quite match the helmet, but I like the thickness of it, which makes it look more like armour. Possibly press studs would be a more reliable fixing for some parts?

    • @lefthander3807
      @lefthander3807  3 года назад +5

      You mean the color of the helmet? Yeah, a little bit different, I didn't paint that (original Black Series color) The velcro is holding well, maybe press studs would be better for the shoulder piece...

    woooo, dude, amazing work and skills, what I liked is that being flexible it is also silent because it does not sound when you move like the other rigid armors that have a dry sound of hard plastic that is not very pleasant to listen to, and that being rigid it do not allow you some movements, great your work, dude
    a question, how much money did the materials with which you made your armor cost you, approximately?, you only need the boots and finished work, greetings 😃😃

    • @lefthander3807
      @lefthander3807  2 года назад

      Thanks, you're right the foam built has some advantages: lightweight, somewhat flexible, silent, you can customize it to your own size and cheaper ! It's hard to tell how much would it cost to built, you only pay for the materials like foam, glue, paint, velcro. The paint and the plasti dip (under the paint) are the most expensive, you can get it all out of $ 120 -150.
      The helmet is a Black Series one. Have fun!

    I’m a kid so would you recommend that I
    Make this since in a new hope Leah

      I used Rust Oleum glossy spray paint, without clear coat, don't forget to use PlastiDip first on the foam. Dipends on your skill, working 2-3 hours a day on it roughly a month.
      Sure I encourage you to make it, but you may have to downsize it, i'm 181 cm and 83 kg.
      In some cases a powerful hair dryer might do the job but for example on the shoulder piece would not be enough, I recommend getting on, it's not that expensive.

      Hi, thanks for watching my videos, I never tried to resize my templates, you can try to print them out in reduced size like 90-95 %, or adjust with the original size templates by cutting a little bit off, but be aware the paper template must be bigger because the foam has a different thickness!

    • @lefthander3807

      The front and back, both.You should have two foam pieces cut out, the left and right ( or inner and outer) these are glued toghether at the front and the back, which lines will be covered by the stripes.

    • @lefthander3807

      First use heat gun to close the cells of the foam, than apply 3-4 layer white Plasti Dip, than 2 layer white primer (Rust-Oleum), than 3 layer Gloss White Rust-Oleum. This gives you a shiny surface so I didn't put clear coat on it but you can, if you want!
