FWIW I'd say this guy is one of the more appealing "on-air personalities" you have since he's very obviously knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the gear. Also, the sound quality of the recording is better than some of the more "staged" demos you do. Keep it up!
Very very cool.I love you guys parts.I have been using your pickups for 10 years. The crunchy pats are awesome.I have a set of the single coil Strat over wound boutique singles Outstanding
I love that Strat...wow! Really like the push pull switch to put jnto humbucker mode. And the little board is super cool! I'm really happy with everything I've bought from you guys so far too! Looks like after watching this, I may be buying more!
I need to get me a set of these now. I just got the premium alnicos and a grey bottom and WOWZA they kick ass! The greybottom is one of the best single coils I've heard hands down. Im using the middle position on my strat more often now haha! But these goldfoils seem like they'd pair well with a humbucker in the brdige too. Definitely something I want to look at. If they make one in tele neck size, I may get one.
Btw...I love the Tele style headstock with the dark wood on top. Beautiful finish work! I was about half asleep when I started watching and now after watching the bild video, I realized it's not a Tele headstock...just has the end that sort of looks that way. It sort of looks like a mix between the two. Nice!
I've purchased about 6 sets of GFS pickups, 3 Trem/bridge systems and numerous other small parts; So far I have been quite happy with the quality. I might add that I recently installed a pair of the VEH extra-hot vintage humbuckers into a Gibson '60s Tribute SG and it now stacks up quite favorably to the two Gibson SG Standards I already have. Jay and his company are first rate! (And he's terribly nice about answering some of my not-so-bright questions when I need help too!)
I love everything here, the site, the guitars, the sound of yours mics (mean and dream 90 are crazy!!) I realy love this one, i'm gone custom one of mine. I just fell like abalone's looking cheap on the neck, the rest is crasy!
Cool vid Jay, guitar sounds great! You should have given a price list of all the components so those who are not familiar with GF can see how reasonably priced your stuff is. Those of us who have purchased stuff from GF already know. Keep it up! You make it possible for a lot of us who are not rich to build, and maintain our guitars on a budget. Everything I have purchased from GF has been great!
That guitar was sufficiently nice enough you could easily sell it. Why don't you put together a few of these with different colors - tack on a generous fee for labor, add 20% of pure profit and sell them on your site? I'd buy one in a heartbeat!
+Tubecreeper If he's going to be advertising how well it stays in tune then common sense would tell you that the guitar should probably be in tune to begin with. With that being said, I've ordered plenty of stuff from Guitar fetish before. They should just think out their demos a little better if they're attempting to sell something based on tuning stability
+Kyle Ingle I agree.A tuner will put the guitar in tune before the film. And every town has guys who can play well to do a vid for GFS. I puts a set in a Squier Standard Strat and it lit up! For cheap, they can transform a mid-level Strat (Standard Squiers are starting to get good....). Try them!
Dude, that thing is cooler than trash! You are killing me. I want to spend so much money on your site, but I can't. BTW, my icon is of a Tele made with parts from your site.
I wouldn't mind using the neck if it were a little flatter than the 12" radius...I used an XGP body on one of my Telecaster builds and it is beautiful.
Hi Jay, nice build! What is the nut width on that neck? It just says it's a vintage spec on the website and I'm not sure what that is, though I hear that it's 1-5/8.
I have a strat I want to retain my 5 way blender setup with existing V T T knobs. I'm only interested in the Wah function of this modboard... is there a way to wire an additional push/pull pot as an wah only on/off & additional pot dedicated to cntrl wah?
What a beautiful guitar! Incredible! The tone and different sounds are like no other Strat too! Love the built in wah! If ya don't mind me asking, what kind of money does it take to build one like that? I love it!
I'm workin' on it one part at a time. I started with the XGP arch top sun burst and some of the humbuckers you are blowing out. I still need a trem and neck. I like the neck you got but I want the same style in the rosewood but you are sold out. Are you getting that neck back in soon?
I watched the build vid on this ... you said that you did no fret work at all to "to show how good the XGP necks are".... sounds like you've got some dead spots on that neck, is just from the relief changing after string up?
This build had to be north of $450 just from the website. It's honestly worth sourcing the parts from the website and building the guitar YOU want. New stratocasters go for $575-675. Why not have a guitar you assembled for less money.
Gorgeous guitar. Would like to hear about how GFS is planning on fixing the neck pockets so the neck will actually fit into the body. XGP bodies are no exception to this problem. I love your web shop, but i wont buy anymore bodies until you guys can fix this problem.
I'd still rather have my foot pedal Cry Baby because that's giving me more control. For instance, can you play Hendrix "Voodoo Child" using that control? I have my doubts because you have to be picking and 'Q-Wah-ing' at the same time. Perhaps you can but I prefer the control with my foot. Still...Your onboard control is very kule!
bluwng why do you have to be so rude? What has made you such an angry person that you have to leave mean comments. Didn't mommy breast feed you? What is it? You and so many others are acting so strange lately! You need freakin help...like a check up from the neck up! Learn some manners! Have some respect. Your attitude will get you nowhere! You'll be a loser your whole life! Is that what you want?
I 've just bought same neck from guitar fetish. Be careful they are selling second rate junks from China. I am going to return back that junk made from more pieces and falling apart.
FWIW I'd say this guy is one of the more appealing "on-air personalities" you have since he's very obviously knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the gear. Also, the sound quality of the recording is better than some of the more "staged" demos you do. Keep it up!
I loved Jay in “Employee of the Month!”
Jay, this is some of the best stuff you've done to date. Fantastic way to showcase your parts! Sounds amazing!
Very very cool.I love you guys parts.I have been using your pickups for 10 years. The crunchy pats are awesome.I have a set of the single coil Strat over wound boutique singles Outstanding

Love that arch top, just wish it came in the same color as the headstock

That wah mod is too cool. Such a unique build
Wish you guys carried some of those in lefty version!!!
Wow I love single coil and p90s this is like a marriage of the two 😊
Wow , dude thats some hotrod axe, love it!
Anyone else find it hilarious that he was talking about his tuning stability and his guitar was out of tune?
+Tubecreeper If he's going to be advertising how well it stays in tune then common sense would tell you that the guitar should probably be in tune to begin with. Thanks for showing ... looks & sounds cool !!
That's a beautiful strat.
Yep, my guitar body has predrilled string thru the body holes, which makes lining up the neck even more difficult to shim
Dude, that thing is cooler than trash! You are killing me. I want to spend so much money on your site, but I can't. BTW, my icon is of a Tele made with parts from your site.

6:58 Kirt Hammett has entered the building
Those sound A Frickin Mazing!
Looks/sounds nice Jay. But TUNE your guitar dude!
Wellll, think I'd stick with an old fashioned wah-wah pedal, but apart from that ... loved it!
ok I wanna see a vid of the on board amp circuit
Hi Jay, nice build! What is the nut width on that neck? It just says it's a vintage spec on the website and I'm not sure what that is, though I hear that it's 1-5/8.
I have that same body and need a tremolo for it. Can you provide a link to a GFS trem that will fit that body?
I have a strat I want to retain my 5 way blender setup with existing V T T knobs.
I'm only interested in the Wah function of this modboard... is there a way to wire an additional push/pull pot as an wah only on/off & additional pot dedicated to cntrl wah?
how much was it total in parts cost?
i like it...very nice....good job
I'm planning on buying a slick guitar but I'm buying a separate neck for it. Any combination of pickups I should buy? Thanks.
What a beautiful guitar! Incredible! The tone and different sounds are like no other Strat too! Love the built in wah! If ya don't mind me asking, what kind of money does it take to build one like that? I love it!
Your voice sounds like Egon from Ghost Busters.
I hear it. A tone scientist
I'd like to do a tele version of that

Nevah!!!!!
This may have already been asked but can the wah be configured to get an auto wah type effect?
how about a look inside to how you did the mod board? was that a three knob (v t t) setup first?
I watched the build vid on this ... you said that you did no fret work at all to "to show how good the XGP necks are".... sounds like you've got some dead spots on that neck, is just from the relief changing after string up?

Marzen I know I’m a year late but you know that you’re supposed to sand the neck to where it will fit perfectly for the body in the pocket.
That doesnt work if the neck pocket is too wide.
Same thing happened to me with the neck pocket being too wide!
What you can do is glue veneers in between the neck and pocket, But it is really hard to keep the neck centered this way.
Where can I get an exact replica of this guitar? And have the same things on your guitar?
will that wah wah work with a volume pedal in stead of the volume control?
Using a fender amp?!
I figured you would be using a bedrock amp! ;)
I like the titlesong of your vids, who is it ?
This axe is sick!! I want one, how much would it be for something like this?
Go to the site and add he has their and add it to your cart and that should tell you. Also they frequently have sale so that should help out
I love it, but do another video please! Tuning seems off.
Nice stuff...
You watch one of these ,You've watched them all. upper low,mid treble boost with that classic Brian May........blaaaaar
Yeah every guitar has a wah modboard in it
What was the cost of the Build ?
This is so cool

Haji al Kidya ya...I'll stick with my crybaby too! I believe they sell other boards you can install other than the wah.
Who cares, do whatever you want but stop sharing your opinion with others.
bluwng why do you have to be so rude? What has made you such an angry person that you have to leave mean comments. Didn't mommy breast feed you? What is it? Nice!
Lovely!
Could take it down a notch on the hype. But dig the sound -
A guitar demo video is considered hype now?
Very nice,
Very nice. I'm thinking of building one. Do you mind telling what your total cost was?
Impressive. Gave me GAS
Why wont you answer the questions about how much $$ your build came out to? Is it a secret?
you can easily figure it out by checking the website
That’s is sic
I 've just bought same neck from guitar fetish. Be careful they are selling second rate junks
from China. I am going to return back that junk made from more pieces and falling apart.
Why would anyone spend what that was board costs when a crybaby used works 10 times better and is $29 more?
4 fun. simple as.
U own a goddamned huge net company and your playing in a fucking mirror. Make Slick video u or are used as cheap as u seem to be
