A very good instrument, I've had it for half a year and I enjoy it more and more. Deep, strong bass in the middle, the sound of bongos all around and the snare on the edges, it's all drums in one small piece of "furniture" .Important! For transport and storage, I recommend buying a cover, it's great and basically necessary
I solved the leg sliding problem by adding motorbike tank grip pads to the sides of mine and it works a treat now, they cost less than £10. I would highly recommend getting foot sleigh bells as well add an extra sound whilst playing. The Meinl Stomp Box also goes well with it. Just found the channel and love it, good work guys.
I think the best part would be being able to remove/mute the snare wires from one side, because then you'd have snare/bass/ and tom in one. Also can always add things on the side, like the classtinets, and maybe a heckstick, etc. Definitely looking at getting one next month.
I’m not sure whether to get the Turbo Slaptop, or the Turbo Slaptop with pick up. It looks like the demo doesn’t have a pick up. Does the pick up model sound as good if played without plugging in.
It needs stabilizing to stop the quite substantial lower box part wobble when playing that affects hand placements therefore accuracy of intended sounds on the table top.
I’ve had trouble with the cajon sliding off my lap as well. Can’t always find the right height chair to avoid the problem so I made a strap (belt) long enough to go around my waist and the cajon. It might look a bit dorky, but feels so much more secure. Might not play well with the castanet though :) Thought about mounting a couple of guitar strap posts and using a guitar strap for a possibly slicker solution, but not yet ready to drill holes in my instrument.
Hello, i'm JP, here writing from Chile. I'm trying to build one of these, and i have two questions. Are the snare chambers closed from the central chamber? AND how long is the bass reflex (the square hole in the bottom) separation from the front until it ends and connect with the main chamber? Hope you understand me Thank you

Sweet! Glad you enjoy it man! It’s a solid instrument. We had a ton of fun with it but now we are using the cajon more and more.

That’s a great idea! I’ll keep that in mind for ours, thanks brother welcome to the channel.
bungie cord around the base wrapped around my waist or hooked into belt loops made me enjoy this drum twice as much
Wow I have one of those …. Never knew you could play with the snare

Absolutely! It’s a pretty powerful little box!

That’s a sweet idea man! I’d love to see what it looks like. Are you on IG or Facebook?

Nice done review. Liked & subscribed.
Thanks bro!! Much appreciated!!
Dude, I've never seen this percussion instrument in my life and I'm lowkey shook right now. 😂 Are ya going to get one?
My buddy bought one and he leaves it here so I play it every now and then. I’m definitely more of a guitar player than a percussionist though.
@@dadbOddTheStoryteller Well that's cool! I'm sure it would be fun to play with, especially when you are making your acoustic mixes!
Absolutely! Comes in super handy for sure. We use it for our live show as well.
How does this compare to the other non turbo model
So, play the damned thing - don't talk so much.
Good to know for the next one. Thanks
