One cool thing about this instrument is that the snares are accessible via screw panels where it rests on your legs, so you can tune or replace them (there was a little bit of annoying residual buzz on mine that I was able to take care of), or you can remove the snare on one side to give yourself an additional tone but with less symmetry.
I found this to be a better bongo than the bongos. The one shown here is the $150 model. The cheaper $100 model is very nice. I am no hand drummer - I just bang on my cajon when listening to music but a some people were looking over when I started hitting this cajon in the music store because of the nice sounds coming out of it. If I didn't think the wife would kill me I would have bought it. Like bongos but comfortable and permanently in tune ( although you can't alter the tuning so there's that ).
I love this video!! And after watching plenty of other folk playing this cajon, you my man are a serious percussionist! Hoping santa brings me one this year. Egg de benedict!! Love it.
depends on what role its gonna play in the music. it hasn't got anywhere near the bottom end or punch of a real cajon, its more bongo/conga ish in its role in the groove
The best cajon playing I have seen on the internet so far. Dynamics separate the men from the boys. Great playing! I have to get one of these!
oh man thanks s much and yeah its a fun little " cajon " for sure
Dude, you're so good! I just got one of these and I'm just getting started, would love a follow up video! Or a basic hand drum techniques vid!
Love how your camera gives the impression the whole room moves when you hit the bass, LOL! Love it. Great demo! Ridiculous playing 👏✌
haha cool !

thanks man, that's useful info !
First time video. I subscribed, liked & shared simply because my goal with my cajón is to have the look of pure joy that you have while playing yours.
Great demo! Thanks for hitting all the surfaces many times so we could really get the feel of the instrument! Great playing too! I just ordered one!
My pleasure!
